WestCord WTC Hotel Leeuwarden

Friendly service, efficient check in and check out. We visited over Easter and the small bag of chocolate eggs upon checkout was a sweet gesture. A modern lobby and room, although certain parts of the room are seemingly getting dated(switches, minor finishes). Overall though, excellent value for money.

Not a fan of the open shower design, usually get a bit of water outside the "shower" area. The location is a bit of a walk to the city centre if that's something that matters. We were fully aware of the distance.

We booked a family room which is two adjoining rooms. Very spacious rooms with big bathrooms. One room had a mini fridge, while one was without. The staff are super friendly and responsive.

It's a bit of a walk to the city centre. There are no restaurants nearby. The only restaurant within the hotel is the Michelin star restaurant on the top floor. The rooms were not really clean when we arrived but the staff responded immediately.

The hotel staff is very very friendly. We stayed here before and the lady at breakfast immediately recognized us from previous stays and was very welcoming and comforting (on this and previous occasions we stayed at the hotel for sad family circumstances). Bedding and beds are very comfortable. Rooms are clean and correct. Breakfast is very good. We like to come up to the 11th floor for an after dinner drink. Staff is very friendly and the view is great.

Actually do not have suggestions for improvement.

The hotel is generally speaking a very nice one with very spacious rooms, very comfortabke bedding, located quite close to the center and with no noise from the outside. The personnel was very friendly and helpfull

The only concern is the pour sound insulation of the rooms. Activities in the neigbouring rooms and the corridor were very audible. The sounds from the floor above were also noticeable, Had it not been for this ewe would have rated the hotel 10/10 The parking is quite far away from the hotel.

The room was comfortable and suited our needs for a last minute weekendje weg in Leeuwarden. If availability was there I probably would have booked in the center, but the location of this hotel is a reasonably short walk and it's convenient to have the free parking. The beds were comfy and I appreciated having climate control/airco in the room to make it a bit cooler for sleeping. The breakfast was good.

It would have been nice to have a bit more time to enjoy breakfast. It's understandable to have time slots in COVID times to manage capacity and cleaning, but an hour can feel a little short when waiting in queues for the coffee machines and buffet. It would also be nice if the elevators were programmed more efficiently or the stairwell made accessible to guests (tried the door but it was locked). We lost some of our breakfast time slot in the morning coming from a middle floor. With the 2 person per elevator rule, many times when one stopped we weren't able to get in and it took quite a while until we got an empty one. (That might have already changed with relaxing of COVID rules)

We, family of three, actually had two intertwining rooms with two bathrooms at our disposal. Very spacious for three people. We enjoyed this very much. Breakfast was excellent and special in the Easter weekend. Staff was very friendly.

The staff was very friendly, the room was neat and clean. There was plenty of parking available. The room was a lot larger than I thought it would be, so when we were stuck indoors due to a very rainy storm we didn't mind since it was ample enough to eat some take out and sit and chat. The little sitting area in the room was very cozy.

We stayed here because nothing else was available in the city center itself so the location is not ideal for visiting Leeuwarden, but even though it was basically our only option it was still a very nice stay.

Excellent dinner at the restaurant with outstanding service, quiet rooms were spacious with great views over the town. Almost every afternoon we booked the sauna and had the huge space all to ourselves - and very clean

breakfast restaurant was feeling crowded in the morning, with less hygiene measures as we are used to in South Africa (where we travelled extensively for business during the pandemic)

The room was nice, spacious and clean. The restaurant on the roof was awesome and really delicious. We ordered food one night via Lieferando and they even brought the food up to the room.

The hotel billed me too much money and after having to correct them twice (they didn’t refund the correct amount after asking them the first time) I didn’t get more than a sorry by the hotel. The breakfast is way too expensive. For 17,50€ I expect way more - if we would go again we would go to a cafe for breakfast.

Clean, spacious, modern, comfortable bed and pillows, good view from high floor. We even had a decaf coffee option in the room, so considerate.

No slippers in the room, perhaps you gotta ask. And the water in the toilet won't stop running.
