Hampton By Hilton Utrecht Centraal Station

+ Location: city center + inside the biggest shopping mall, everything you need within the shortest distance + Comfort stay: two elevators serve as entrance straight from the shopping mall (even no need to go through reception), well-prepared rooms equipped with heating, conditioner, kettle, iron, TV, comfortable work table, enough space for the arrangement of belongings, safe box, availability of hygiene products in the bathroom, sockets above the bedside shelves, good Wi-Fi connection. Everything is organized for ease of use and feels new and fresh. Also, there’s a little gym available as a bonus + Staff: polite and attentive, pleasant communication + Design: modern and cozy rooms, modern building + Breakfast: wide choice of tasty meals included I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay with comfort and convenience in Utrecht city center. The pros far outweigh the cons, I would come back here again with pleasure.

- No way to open a window in my room - Cleaning was satisfactory, but sometimes service forgot to change dirty towels or left dust in some areas for days. Also, there’s no signs «do not disturb» to hang on the door, service entered my room two times without knocking - No availability of meals and drinks outside the breakfast plan, i.e. it’s not possible to order a dinner, as stuff said, it’s not included - No mini-bar in the room - Iron and kettle were leaking

Excellent location directly opposite train station in large shopping centre. Main square of city directly outside other shopping centre entrance. Hotel is accessed by lift from 1st floor of shopping centre. Staff, esp the night manager, are helpful and friendly. Rooms spacious and modern with AC. Breakfast very good with good selection of breakfast foods. Breakfast room / Reception area large and with some views over shopping centre. This area is used as a bar at night which is great for a last drink or bottle of water on way back from the city centre.

Nothing - its a very good location and a modern hotel

Hampton by Hilton was a very convenient hotel for traveling around this part of the Netherlands. It’s definitely quirky to have a hotel right in the middle of a mall, but we followed the hotel’s directions and found it easily from the train station. It was only a few minutes away from the old town and the train station. It made it easy to both explore Utrecht on foot and nearby towns via train. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and shower very good. I appreciated that they had large fluffy towels. They had a safe in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a lot of selections and they were well staffed. The breakfast room looked out over the mall.

Be sure to follow the directions from the train station through the mall - and you’ll find it easily.

The location was perfect most especially when you’re traveling via the train. It is placed near the city center which makes walking a very convenient choice of exploring the quaint city of Utrecht. The size of the room another plus factor you can conveniently work your way around and even if you have a companion the space is still enough. I love how responsive the staff were to my queries. If you’re a HH member you still qualify for the perks but not the reward points since the booking is made from Booking.com.

Couldn't get more central than that! Loves the fact they you walked out on one side and had Utrecht centraal right there and on the opposite side the lovely plaza leading you to shops and yummy restaurants as well as to the old canal. The staff were super friendly, we travelled with our 1 year old and the kitchen staff were the BEST!! They interacted with our baby, helped us with high chair and grabbing food. We felt super welcomed.

The mall can be super overcrowded at times and of you're not mentally prepared for it when you exit the hotel in the morning it can feel pretty intense. But the great thing is you can't hear the mall traffic I'm your room!!

The staff were very very friendly and nice, they spoke multiple languages and were so helpful when ever I needed them. There are 24/7 free snacks available at reception. The location is amazing, right inside the largest mall in the city, in the city center. You will never have to pay for transportation and you could go anywhere walking. It's also close to most if not all city attractions and events. Would definitely recommend staying here, especially if booked earlier with a better price.

The chair in the room was dirty and outdated, I think some furniture could use a replacement or very good deep cleaning.

Convenient location inside the shopping mall - two minutes walk from the train/bus station, cafes/restaurants in the Mall and a great selection of shops and eating places just a short walk away. I was on my own and felt safe there at night walking between the station and the hotel. There are shops in the station that are open late for snacks/drinks. (I didn’t use the bar in the hotel). It’s a 25 min train ride from Schiphol airport. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom, good breakfast selection (it’s included so no time wasting checking in with your room number every morning).

Somedays there’s a strange smell around the lift area! Tea and coffee provided in the room but a small fridge would be very useful. Sunday morning breakfast was very chaotic, so many people and lots of queues but was ok for me as a single traveller - everything was being restocked and more tables and chairs put out. A very minor criticism - I hung my towels as I didn’t need them to be changed every day - but they were changed every day anyway. (There is a scheme where you can get 500 points with their member scheme if you don’t want your room serviced every day).

The staff was exceptionally kind. Breakfast was great, with a wide range of food and drinks. You can even have waffles! Lactose free products are available, as well. I was positively surprised to find trays at the breakfast buffet. Usually, in other hotels, you have to go many times to the buffet to take everything you need (coffee, juice, dish with food, etc.), because you only have two hands! The location is perfect: just opposite the central train station and less than 10 minutes 'walk from the downtown. Being in a shopping mall, there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets very close. The bathroom is very spacious and the bed comfortable.

I found it strange not to have a minibar (but I knew it before the stay) and a toilet brush in what is a quite expensive hotel.

Convienent location, good breakfast, staff were helpful and very polite. The room was adequate, clean and tidy, with good facilites, had to report a blocked shower, but this was dealt with efficiently and very quickly.

Room was a little smaller than we expected. However our biggest gripe was finding you. We left Utrecht Centraal station, and had no idea where we were going. We were advised it was in the shopping centre and there was a sign pointing the way, nevertheless it was a bit of a struggle to find. Perhaps a bit more clarity on the map provided. I.e. what level it is on and nearby stores to look out for.

I was in Utrecht for a concert. Due to a malfunction of Dutch Railway I could not return home and I needed a place to stay. Getting a room at this hotel was very easy through Booking.com and within minutes I was in my room - it is two minutes away from the train station. Perfect! The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful: He even gave me a dental kit, because I did not bring an overnight bag or anything and the next morning the young man at the desk even lent me a charging cable for my phone, which I also did not bring. While my phone was charging, I had an excellent breakfast which was included in the price: A variety of fruit, eggs, cereals, all sorts of dairy products, bread, beverages and plenty of coffee. In short, I felt very comfortable there. I was able to shake off the stress from the chaos at the train station, have a good night's sleep and started the day fresh and fed. In short, a very good experience.
