Great location above a cafe and on the canal in Utrecht - located in a beautiful part of Utrecht and where the action was - lots of fun The staff were friendly The food in the cafe excellent especially the soup The room was very large and beautifully decorated. It included a fridge, kettle & hairdryer - all pluses and a table and chairs The bed was very comfortable Large bathroom

Very little as this accommodation was selected as a special part of our trip and it lived up to our expectations of Utrecht 1. The blind was broken and not fixed during our stay of 4 days - let in a lot of light - not a huge issue more s nuisance. We were told it would be fixed and maybe we should have followed up 2. We didn't realise that we would be charged extra for a public holiday - quite a bit extra. We stayed 4 nights and maybe we didn't read the fine print. I like to know about these charges upfront.

A well appointed luxury room at the top floor of the property. A very large and comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Despite the noises in the small hours on two of our five nights, this is generally a very quiet location, and handy for exploring Utrecht

On two of the five nights of our stay there was intrusive noise on the street below the window in the small hours of the morning. The other three nights were quiet, we suggested that they fit an internal shutter or similar to exclude these occasional street noises. The owner did reduce our bill for our two disturbed nights. Other than three closely spaced wall hooks there was nowhere to hang or store clothes. We had to leave our clothes in the two suitcases open on the floor for our five night stay.

The staff of all young women was extremely friendly and welcoming (thank you Britte). Below their logement is a cute and cozy lunchroom that specializes in amazing soups. In the morning while taking the stairway to exit your way onto the Utrecht canal area you are welcomed by an amazing scent of freshly prepared herbs and spices they use for the soups. The room is comfortable and feels homey right away. You can tell the items in the room, and especially the bathroom, are curated specifically to match the well aged style of the building and the historical area. You're smack dab in the middle of the middle of the centre of Utrecht, right next to the Dom tower, a myriad of bars, restaurants, well known stores and niche boutiques. I am Dutch myself and as someone who knows the cities and its hotels very well, I 100% recommend staying here. Unless you like ugly things, then its not for you.

The room was pretty cold and hard to get to an acceptable room temperature but knowing these type of buildings and given today's economical and environmental state it may be for the better.

The welcome was warm and the room was impressive with fantastic elevated views of the bustling street below. Soup-er cafe below the apartment is a fabulous cafe offering local produce with exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic staff. The best tomato soup we’ve ever had! Location is excellent, in the heart of decent shops, cafes/restaurants and bars.

Only minor criticism would be in relation to the access to the rooms, as this was through the seated eating area, which was a little uncomfortable as the area is limited in space. Issues not specific to this hotel but more indicative of older buildings in the area which are all limited. Owners / operators have made the best of an unfortunate situation.

Room was very clean and cozy. Staff was friendly and location is absolutely fantastic. I think they have done a great job with this place. Sadly never had a chance to try the soups down In the soup bar as all the tables were always full 😕

If having only rain shower and no normal shower head, haircap could be provided. Everybody don't want to wash their hair every day. Even tho it didn't bother my sleep, people who are light sleepers may have problems as you can literally hear every word spoken on the busy street In front of the hotel.

The excellent central, canalside location, the comfortable bed and the welcome from the staff (in the soup cafe below owned by the same lady)

Although I had a double we’d have really struggled for space had there been two of us in the room (there’s no wardrobe, just a few hooks, which was fine for me for a couple of days). It was also very awkward manoeuvring my little suitcase up the narrow, winding stairs, but I did know beforehand that there was no lift, and I only had a small case. Not sure how people manage with suitcases.

This was an incredibly charming boutique hotel attached to a very buzzy coffee shops with great good! The breakfast was phenomenal and the room was incredibly cozy and had everything a solo traveler could need.

My only complaints are that the bathroom was incredibly cold (I traveled during a very cold period) which made using the toilet and shower a bit uncomfortable. Also, I had a room on the 1st floor facing the very busy main street/square so the blinds had to be closed so that people sitting al fresco on at the cafes opposite the hotel could not see me. MInor issues in comparison to the location and service.

Great location, exceptionally close to the main tourist attractions, cafes and restaurants and a short walk from the train station. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous with fresh and tasty ingredients locally sourced, such as apple juice that actually tastes of apples. local cheeses, breads and fruits. I also recommend trying their soup for lunch.

It gets noisy at night, the downside of being in the centre of everything.

Super-stylish room but also really comfortable. And in a perfect location as long as you don’t mind a little noise from the street. The room was above a ‘soup shop’ owned by the same people and all the staff we met (checking in and eating) were amazing! Very friendly but also professional. I would recommend taking the breakfast option. All the food items were locally sourced and of superb quality. Try their soups too - so good. We loved Utrecht and will return and will definitely stay here again.

We didn’t really care but the stairs are narrow and steep. Some might not like the street noise. Again, fine with us.
