Bilderberg Grand Hotel Wientjes

Flight from UK was delayed, when on train to Zwolle, I called the hotel to see if the restaurant would still be open on our arrival (21:30 ish). Was informed it closes at 21:00. I was however offered a salad bowl prepared fresh by the Chef prior to our arrival. It was served in the bar with excellent service. Food was also excellent. Next day breakfast was also far better than expected. All in all the staff and facilities were exceptional. Bar was great.

Perfectly located right between the train station and the city center. Beautiful interior and room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing vegan breakfast delivered to our room. Classy yet cozy feeling. Would recommend to visitors of all types and age.

I arrived by train from the airport so location was excellent. It was late when I arrives (after 10pm) and was very hungry. I informed the staff and they kindly agreed to make me a salad. It was the nicest goats cheese salad I can recall eating. The staff went over and beyond what was expect. Joined a work colleague for coffee next morning and again staff were exceptional. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel with clean comfortable rooms. Fun to put on robe after shower. Luxurious. Special thanks to Kind staff...especially gentlemen at the desk who kindly transferred our luggage from storage to our new room after we needed to change rooms mid-stay (due to our own decision). Great location between town amd train station. Safe locked bike storage.

Be aware no air conditioning but great fans in our room. We stayed in 2 rooms. One was very quiet the other one was across the hall had LOUD party until 1 AM at outside hotel table in warm weather when window had to be open. Disappointing. Please change this for future guests.

Great location, clean room, nice.robes. great.staff...kind young man at the desk took our bags to our new room after we changed. He also made us feel special.and welcome. No air conditioning but rooms had a fan. Thank you!

Be aware that there is a hotel sponsored table on the bahnhof side of the building where there was a loud party going on until 1 AM. No air conditioning so windows had to be open. Discouraging. Please change this for future guests.

I arrived a little bit earlier than the check-in time as I came from a bike trip. Even though I couldnt checked-in earlier, the nice ladies in the reception allowed me to wash myself a bit and they kept my bike together with my belongings in a private area of the hotel. The team provided me with the 1st room that was available upon check-time time as they knew I was exhausted after doing 170km by bike. The room was very clean and comfortable. During dinner, I chose the 3-course dinner. The chef did a special menu for me (or at least it felt this way) with plenty of veggies and proteines to help recovery and everybody was very attentive and nice. The food was excellent and I went to bed feeling still tired but very happy. Finally, on the following day, I was allowed to still keep my bike together with my belongins stored in the hotel after check'out and as it was pouring outside, they even gave me an umbrella to keep. Dank je well for everything!

If I need to add something, I would have liked the possibility to have a small gym area. But that is really something that is not really needed.

The staff is excellent. All the staff we met during our stay understands what hospitality is about; kind, pro-active, positive, open and willing to listen and think along. Breakfast and dinner where properly 'delivered' at the room door. Both meals exceeded my expectations! The bed was lovely. Go there..!

Nothing at all.

Very close to the train station and in a 10 minutes walking distance from the city center. The room was clean and tidy with comfortable bed and the most importantly, included a very good standing fan to handle the heat.

It could be nice to know that there’s a way to get to the lobby via the elevator (it was “hidden” in a side road) rather than using 10 stairs with heavy luggage.

Zwolle is a beautiful city in the Netherlands with an intreresting and lively historical centre. Bilderberg Grand Hotel Wientjes is perfectly located a short walk away. The hotel was very comforatble, a nice bar and a fantastic restaurant. I had a three course dinner and it was exceptional. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Car parking was also a big plus point for me, and the hotel has its own private parking area. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was well laid out with a huge variety on offer. I would definitely stay here again.

From the time we checked in to the time we left we always felt well looked after. Several minutes after getting into our room we received a call from the front desk asking if our room was to our liking, we have never received such care in any hotels from past travelling. The room was clean, well appointed and nice and quiet. The hotel is about 12 minutes from central Zwolle, which was easy to get too. In the morning we had chosen pre-paid breakfast, we were promptly seated, the breakfast was buffet style with all the usual items. My son was provided with gluten free bread as requested, which was delicious and fresh. I usually choose hard boiled eggs and for the first time the eggs were perfectly cooked, the yolk was 90% cooked, between the three of us and 5 eggs latter, we all agreed the best ever. If ever I had to go back to Zwolle, I would definitely book this hotel again!!!!!!!.
