Poenamo Hotel

The members of staff were always very friendly and welcoming! They were always very helpful aswell when and if we needed help/ messaged about our stay beforehand/during. We got fresh towel everyday.

I think where we were there for 10 days maybe a hoover could have been provided. We had to ask for a dustpan and brush as there wasn’t any cleaning equipment for the room. That’s the only thing I would say is to be provided with equipment to clean and or have the cleaners hoover every other day and or 3rd day.

The new apartments were very modern, clean and cozy. Beds A+ Lock up garage was great, knowing car was safe. Location awesome. Everything we needed was a walk away, or very small drive. Friendly staff.

The card for the door and the fact only having 1, meant family couldnt come and go easily, as had to bang loudly on door to get back in. Pin on door would be perfect! Also, the 2 doors to entry felt safe, but on arrival with all the luggage, was hard to get through both and hold open at same time. Needs a latch for arriving and leaving frantics. Pile up of stuff in garage made the carpark tight.

Love the location its close to shops and the Golf Course. We stayed in the villa and it was just right for our family break. Fully furnished villa which was great with its balcony and front and side lawn enough for kids to play and adults to exercise. Room service and maintenance was great.

The swimming and spa pool weren't open during our stay. These are the main amenities a hotel should have available all times especially during summer. Bar and restaurant should always be open for guests. Luckily there are nearby restaurants.

Loved the layout of the room, felt spacious, beds were comfortable and decent size, it was reasonably quiet when we went to sleep i liked the private parking for each individual apartment because it gives you peace of mind knowing your vehicles locked away in that private carpark under the apartment your staying in.

There was a fire alarm power point that stuck out of the wall with wires and screws exposed, i understand they had recently been under renovation but we had our 4 year old and 6 month old with us so safety hazzards like this should be tended to before anyone is allowed in the room i think. Also there were hairs on the toilet seat when we first got into our room soo, before any of us had even used the toilet. Apart from that, our stay was enjoyable.

The accomodation was a whole apartment, very clean and , comfortable. But quite difficult to find, as seperate from the motel we usually stay at.

The complex was booked out to a very noisy party, couldn’t book a table for dinner, very noisy, music went on till after 1 am. Luckily we were put in the new apartments, away from the noise , but access was quite hard to find, despite being given a map, luckily a local helped us. It was up a number of steep steps, which was difficult for us to manage.

The 2 bedroom apartment is really nice - very modern and has everything you need, including secure parking. The bar and pool area was good and we spent a lot of time there. Staff are really nice and welcoming.

The apartments are a little walk from the pool and bar area, but only less than 5 mins so not really that bad! The location isn’t great but we had a car so wasn’t a deal breaker. The bar is pretty expensive but i’m not sure this belongs to the hotel? Overall a great hotel.

Location was great. The shower had amazing pressure! Having the bar next door was amazing! As well as other food options 30 seconds walk from the hotel. Made it easy when we wanted to have a drink and meal out - a quick walk back! Poenamo were also amazinf in accommodating our needs! Price was also ideal for us! Also no complaints about noise from the bar nextdoor as when we had our backdoor shut we couldnt hear the bar!

There were cigarette burns on the carpet in our hotel room. Which is obviously no fault of the hotels, just unfortunate that previous patrons have mistreated the room, considering there is no need to smoke indoors when there is a great balcony! The other thing was the mould in the bathroom. A non-issue for us personally however would’ve been great to see an extractor fan of sorts in the bathroom to combat this.

We were quite worried staying here after reading some reviews that were terrible and some that were great. The rooms are tired but they have everything you need and the room service is thorough. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great, the kids loved the pool and the bar downstairs offers a great pizza , cold beer and friendly service. The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful and there is plenty of parking. The rooms are due a deep clean (the cleaners can't help old stains) and a bit of an upgrade but for the price we were pleasantly surprised and if we were in the area again with a large group (we needed two adjoining rooms) would happily stay again.

The whole place was absoluetly beautiful our place we stayed in looked like a 5 star hotel. Well worth the money, and the staff were absolutely amazing and flexiable with check in time due to us running late. Definetly would stay here again. I did not want to leave it was so beautiful and the beds were so comfy, best night sleep ever. My favourite part was the hot chocolate and the shower.

I had trouble finding our room and which parking area to go into but my partner figured it out pretry fast. Just a bit tight trying to get in the driving and undergroind parking. Other then that no complaints

Great space and in a private location, lots of room inside and on the property too and pretty well equipped eg smart tv, washing machine and dryer also dishwasher and air conditioning

We did notice some attention to detail in the cleaning missing eg hairs stuck to the floor from after mopping and cobwebs from ceilings. We thought that the shower trap needed a good cleaning out too but that didn’t hinder our enjoyment. We thought it would be a good idea for a few more mirrors to be installed in the bedrooms
