Bahía Almuñecar

The location is excellent! Just a few minutes from the bus station in one direction and a few minutes from the beach in the other direction. The centre of town with shops is just a few minutes walk as well. Rooftop bar is lovely at sunset and the entertainment is up there every night. Open until 1.30am. The pool area, also Rooftop, was clean with comfy sunbeds and hardly anyone there, probably due to the proximity of the beach.

I wasn't a fan of the breakfast or dinner but maybe I was just being picky. There was a good choice but nothing that I would normally eat so perhaps my comment is unfair.

The rooftop terrace is amazing! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is very good. It's quiet but at the same time close to the beach and the town center.

Our stay was fantastic except one thing - lifts in the hotel. It's nearly impossible to use the lifts because the way they work is not adapted for COVID restrictions where only one person or a single family unit can use it. You may easily spend 10 minutes waiting for it. I understand that the lift algorithm works in a way as to minimize energy impact but it is not usable for the restriction.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was very good with a nice balcony, having a car park was good although a little expensive. We enjoyed the choice of food at the breakfast the staff were very nice and helpful. The reception staff were all very good and polite,

Our cleaner was not so good, not enough towels on arrival no new soap left for the second day.

very nice room on the 7th floor a quite large room and good sized balcony a side view of the sea, a well equipped room on a busy road but quite at night. It had lots of bars and shops in an area across the road 2 or 3 minutes away, a very interesting area also a few minutes to the sea and beach. All in all a very nice 5 day break and the food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner.

Great staff, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nice, clean (deep clean actually) and large room. Comfortable beds. The balcony and the view. Car park options, the paying car park is below the hotel, but free parking is available in nearby streets. The beach is closed from the hotel, old town traditional restaurants are near.

I would have loved to have a kettle or coffee machine to be able to enjoy a hot drink on the balcony looking at the old town and the sea.

Good central,location close to city centre and bus station. Some 400 meters to the beach wich you reach midway on the seaside promenade along the coast. Clean and well cared for rooms. Breakfast with big selection. Friendly staff.

Balconies are facing south-west which is nice from sun perspective. Unfortunately there is very strong western winds in Almunecar in November which make balconies more or less unusable in the afternoon. A few days cleaning of rooms was a bit late in the afternoon (very minor problem)

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a suite because I was celebrating my birthday. Our room was clean and comfortable. Jacuzzi bath, large terrace and good A.C. Lovely roof terrace with bar and swimming pool. We were half board and the restaurant provided a good selection of food.

The lifts-only two small lifts for a large hotel. The lifts were out of order for a few hours, which meant walking up seven flights of stairs.

The room was perfect and the location of the hotel is ideal. You are walking along the beach in no time. The food was OK but needed a quick spin in the microwave if you enjoy hot food as we do.

The hotel is geared up for holiday companies, and tables in the dining room are reserved for people who have booked their holiday with a group. Empty tables can be seen when we need one but are reserved for clients who booked through the group! We as independent travellers had to wait for a table to come free that was not reserved.

We liked the size of the room and having an end balcony which gave us a partial view of the sea. The beds were very big and comfortable. We thought the food was very good and offered plenty of choice. We liked the rooftop bar and entertainment. The hotel is ideally situated to explore the old town, is very near the bus station and there is a taxi rank just opposite the hotel.

The pool was a little on the small side.

Location is very practical, food walking to beach, restaurants, bus stop, shops. The rooms from floor 4 upwards have great city and sea view. Spacious rooms.The rooftop pool is excellent!

The matras protection isn't very stable, keeps moving, and creates heat and crumpled bedsheets. Might be a good investment to replace by a better one.
