Hotel Miba

The room was one of the largest I have stayed in. The cleaners did a brilliant job of looking after us and the views were stunning. It was lovely waking up to them every morning. The rest of the staff from reception to the bar were lovely too. The pool was small, quiet, clean and very refreshing! This isn't touristy Spain, very little English is spoken, so be prepared to use hand gestures, smiles, google translate and enjoy Spain as it should be!

I would say the hotel is quite far from the town (20 mins walk) and the beach (30mins walk) if you are only on foot and you want to be in the middle of everything. For us, the remoteness, peace and quiet was a bonus, we can't wait to return!

Everything was perfect! Room was fabulous and spacious with large terrace and amazing views! The bathroom was also large, with a walk-in shower, big soft towels and Rituals toiletries. Lovely pool and roof terrace area with amazing views. From Thursday to Saturday it is possible to dine up there. The food in the restaurant is excellent quality, the kitchen team and Elena the head server are fantastic. Mathilde the owner is a wonderful hostess and David at the front desk and the house keeping team are also fabulous. Location is about a 20 min walk to the beach, bus station and old town/supermarkets (in different directions). Make sure you get directions from the hotel as Google Maps will try to send you via La Caletta which would add +/- 15 mins to the journey.

Hotel Miba has a unique style and setting which we just loved. We were blown away by the size of the room with the beautiful views from the terrace. We were greeted with a lovely welcome and felt very comfortable straight away. It is a small hotel with a personal touch yet they have designed in such a way that you can relax in a range of areas, either on the rooftop, in the bar or in your room. The food from the restaurant was exceptional.

We loved the floor to ceiling windows in our room but they were quite heavy to open.

Super spacious room, gorgeous sea view, amazing rooftop swimming pool, high quality amenities, attention to detail, breakfast is great value for price.

Sometimes we had to wait long at the reception because it was not staffed. Rooftop bar was closed and we saw the telephone to order drinks only when we left. It is not a beach hotel: You have to walk 15-20 min down to the beach and then up the hill to go back (better go by car, beach parking available)

The views from the hotel room are outstanding. We treated ourselves to the junior suite, and it was breathtaking. We loved the room decor, the windows on all sides, and the two seater lounge sofa. The room was huge. The bathroom was excellent (great shower!), and the terrace was fantastic with a view over the sea and the castle. Very nice breakfast too, though you have to choose on arrival what you will have the following day, which can be a challenge!

We had an issue with the airconditioning in the room when we first arrived, and it took time to sort it out. But when we got back from our dinner in Salobreña, it was repaired and the room was lovely and cool.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were simple but healthy and tasty. We stayed in the Queen suite and it was perfect. The large terrace was ideal with great views.

The only slight downside was the proximity to restaurants. Eating in the hotel was really good but to go elsewhere was a 25 minute walk or 5 minute drive. It helped us keep fit...

We live around 1 hour away, and visited for the second time with another couple. The rooftop pool with it's wonderful views, is a particular highlight. The rooms are always clean, spacious and very comfortable. The beach is within walking distance and has great chiringuitos. It's a fantastic choice for a night away.

The hotel restaurant is gorgeous and so is the food. The menu is most definitely on the pricey side, but there is no doubt that food and service are top rate. There is nothing that I don't like about this hotel, and we will return in a couple of months.

The hotel doesn’t look that great as you pull up from the motorway in the day. however, once inside and at night it is very nice. The rooms are very well appointed and have loads of cool design touches. Everything is expensive and high end and works perfectly. the beds are super soft, shower lovely and hot and the staff very friendly. Rooftop pool is small but enough for a drip with a great view.

As is often the way in many countries around Europe dogs in nearby properties are allowed to bark their way through the night. So make sure that you shut the terrace doors carefully and bring earplugs. The prices in the sky bar didn’t seem to match the prices around the area. 9 euros for a vodka and coke is a bit cheeky……. The roof terrace bar prices for gin and tonic, vodka and coke etc were a bit excessive so it actually but us off eating in the restaurant and we went into town for dinner

Amazing location and the town of Salobreña 4 mins away by car is beautiful and has plenty of places to eat and drink. Easy parking (if the parking is full maybe due to the restaurant being busy they will make sure to make space for you. The views are breathtaking. Friendly staff even locals etc were super friendly I guess Andalusian hospitality :)

This is just a suggestion, to have brighter light in the room as there’s no central light, to be honest didn’t bother us as it actually made it more cosy with the side lights, we spent time outside and in the balcony and in the morning was bright enough.

Easy speedy check and check out experience. Wonderful views. Lovely bathroom. Calming effect decor, comfortable beds. Very prompt and positive response to our query about whether pets had been in room as one member of party very allergic to animals. Room spotless, we had no problems. Thoroughly enjoyed a sunset drink with friends in the stunning skybar. Thank you MIBA
