Hotel Ilusion Calma & Spa

Lovely hotel for 3 stars, exceeded my expectations in terms of the quality and value for money. Reception staff checked us around an hour early without any issues. Room was comfortable and spacious, very clean. Food in the restaurant was very good overall with lots of choice for 3 star hotel. Staff friendly. Very good location of the hotel near the sea and promenade, close to the airport and public transport. Relaxed overall feel to the hotel. Stayed only 3 nights but will return. Kettle not available in the room but available from reception, just had to give 10 euros deposit which was returned. Free wifi which worked fine.

Would be nice to have more storage space for clothes in room 441. Tea and coffee making facilities would be also good to have in the room but kettle was available from the reception and deposit returned so not an issue. Also would like bigger mugs for tea but nothing major.

Great little hotel. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to beautiful beaches. The staff are amazing & very friendly. The hotel smells amazing & is so clean.. The swimming pool is small but clean & inviting. The sun disappears around 3pm at the pool but with the beach so close so for those sun worshipers you can nip on to the beach & soak up the afternoon sun. Highly recommend going all inclusive for the drinks. (drinks served 10am-midnight which is amazing) Cocktails not great as premade from machine, but recommend having a white rum slushy. drunk body weight in those! taste yummy! The food is ok. not a huge choice but you can always find something. There are great restaurants & bars on the seafront. We arrived at the hotel at 9am as had an early flight, we was given our wristbands straight away so hot breakfast & managed to get in our room at 10am which was a bonus! (check in isn’t usually until 2pm) At the end of the day it’s a 3 star, fabulous budget hotel. We had a city view room which isn’t a nice view (not hotels fault) so don’t expect great views from the room. The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, little spa is a bonus (jacuzzi, turkish bath, sauna & pool & small gym) Taxi from airport 5 minutes €15. sounds a lot however the airport take a cut of that.. it saved messing around with the bus. We will definitely stay here again…

Good service. Highly recommend to take full board or at least breakfast and dinner. Good room with a nice view to the pool. High speed internet. Nice to have Spa facilities also.

Everything was good.

The staff were all really lovely, friendly and helpful. There was lots of food and drink but not much difference from day to day. They offered me some specific gluten free options but it was a lot less than the selection of regular food. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with TV (didn't watch it), fridge and hairdryer. Really good location, convenient for the airport and 5 mins walk to the beach and bars. A lovely quiet resort with plenty of bars and restaurants.

Air conditioning was not on as we went in April. Spa had restrictions on numbers and had to be booked. Outdoor pool is not heated

Nice guys at the reception, funny and ready to help you with anything Amazing dinner, lots of options and very tasty There was a possibility to have breakfast at 4 am (because the hotel is located close to the airport and sometimes guests leave very early), I’ve never seen this kind of hospitality anywhere Spa zone, outdoor area with pools are really nice, clean and relaxing

Aircon wasn’t working the design of the shower is awful, water is pouring all over the floor, there was no curtain

Friendly staff and all room requirements fulfilled: nice room with balcony and pool view. Food all fine - yes some of it is ‘recycled’ but what do you expect? Mexican food night was best food. Pool was good: not too cold for October (refreshing in 31 degree heat) and plenty of loungers all day. Great location - near the beach and a local area with a few shops and places to eat. Only 10 mins from airport by taxi - bus stop up the road for city of Palma and airport.

Breakfast pastries were unpleasant - dry husks. Decent beer in restaurant and bar (Estrella). Air con in room made dripping noise through night which we got used to. Unsupervised screaming kids running around the pool and throwing water around at night…and sometimes in the day as well.

The location, the facilities, the view from my room, the all inclusive (breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything else), the space, comfortable bed, nice staff, felt comfortable. + had return flight at 6 AM, the hotel helped with breakfast at 3:30 AM and ordered taxi for me. very grateful for them making this easy for me

the sheets did not look clean or freshly changed when I arrived. + there were no towels, I asked for towels and I received them. But after one shower the next day, cleaning staff took the towels but did not replace them so again, I was left without towels :)) + all inclusive is not for everyone - some people can't hold their liquor + had earplugs, sometimes it was a bit too noisy on my floor but that is not the hotel's fault. Education is made at home and people are how they are :)

hotel is near the airport so that was my priority for just one night. Very comfortable clean and spacious bedroom and bath. Quick check in and out.

the fact that nowhere in the website there is a mention of no parking or where to park. The reception desk did try to indicate areas where I might find a spot. It took me 40 min turning around for a parking and had to walk 10 min dragging my suitcase and bagpack. Should I known I would have returnd my car at the airport and taken an uber to the hotel. So please people at the back office of this hotel. Do your job and improve your website!!!

it was very clean, close to many restaurants (walking distance).

it would of been good to see this hotel is mainly for the older category. 3 early 20s girls walking around being made feeling uncomfortable as all older people were staring and the staff was very rude. waiting to book a taxi and the receptionist (ginger) kept serving everyone else and giving me dirty looks and when questioned to why she isn’t asking me what I am there for she looked over at colleague and spoke in Spanish to tell her to deal with me instead - she didn’t seem aware I speak Spanish.

The food and the drinks were amazing, i recommend the a inclusive board for everyone. The spa is a bit small but nice. The price and value is really good. The balcony is a really cool thing, i got the pool view, but i could sunbath there in the afternoon. Easy to reach the hotel by the A2 Bus from the airport, 10 minutes and costs 5 Euros. The beach is literally 2 minutes by walk.

The only thing is the noise, the bar is running loud music until midnight, but Mallorca is a party place. The bed was too soft for me, but i do like hard mattress.
