The owner Alejandro could not have been more helpful. He is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the town and gave us a number of useful recommendations and suggestions. The guest house is brilliantly located near the top of the hill with amazing views over the town and a few hundred meters away from the Alhambra. Breakfast was simple but good and Lorenzo was very attentive and courteous. Our room had two double windows with lovely views and was very comfortable. The property has a shady garden and is generally immaculate.

This is a beautiful home from home with a delightful family feel which I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. The owner, Alejandro, has lots of advice and tips which are well worth listening to, especially about how to get around the city, and Lorenzo was great company at breakfast time. It is only a few minutes walk from the Justice Gate entrance to the Alhambra, so we were able to go up to the palace several times and enjoy it slowly rather than all in one go. The hotel is immaculately clean and has gorgeous outside spaces full of flowers and shady greenery. It was exactly as I hoped it would be. We’ll be back.

We spent three nights in this wonderful accommodation. The host Alejandro and his assistant Lorenzo are super friendly, very helpful and have a lot of good tips. The location is absolutely perfect. Alhambra as well as the old town is within a short walking distance. The garden around the house with various seating options is gorgeous and offers a great view over the city. The access to the accommodation is not via GPS to manage, but we have received a good understandable description from Alejandro in advance. Breakfast on the terrace was a great start to the day and it was always a pleasure to have a chat with Lorenzo. Thanks for the hospitality, we will be back.:-)

A real one-of-a-kind hotel, perched halfway up the hill to the Alhambra, with stunning views back over the city. We happily had what was probably the best room, on the top floor, with a large private terrace. But there were many other spots available in the house and garden for relaxing and looking out. Host Alejandro was extremely helpful in meeting/greeting and providing advice on sights, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was simple but sufficient.

You will need to climb a LOT of stairs each time you return to the hotel from the city. (Car/taxi access is also difficult, although that was not a problem for us.)

The location is perfect for visiting the Alhambra, which is a mere 7 minute walk from this inn. The inn itself is charming, nicely decorated, and well maintained. We had a room with a terrace which gave us a place to relax and enjoy the view over the city of Granada. Alejandro was a great host and was very helpful and patient with us particularly when my wife lost her way to the inn delaying our check-in. He was very gracious as was his colleague, Lorenzo, who handled the breakfast.

The breakfast was simple but good. Perhaps some people would want more variety, but for my wife and me, it was enough (and there is a beautiful terrace overlooking Granada on which to have your breakfast).

Fantastically beautiful and quiet location on the hill of the Alhambra. Beautiful garden. Very tastefully furnished large room on the top floor with a terrace and views over Granada, just gorgeous. Very close to the old town and the Alhambra, both reachable within 10 minutes walking. Very comfortable beds. We slept excellent. Very good breakfast with possibility to eat outside on the common terrace with views over Granada. Excellent hosts, very personal attention, we felt very comfortable and at home. We only stayed at the Carmen for 3 nights, wish we could have stayed longer. We'd love to come back.

What a good surprise we had with this place. I was doing a car trip with a friend in Andalusia and we booked this hotel last minute. we weren't expecting what was to come. We were a little worried because as soon as we made the reservation, the team already got in touch to explain how we should get to the place by car, since the point is not very easy to find. As soon as we met with the hotel staff, they helped us. From the moment of check in we were impressed. The kindness of the Staff, the breakfast - order pan con tomato - the view from the room. Incredible. Just don't expect a huge room. They are small but excellent. I loved it

Best boutique hotel stay we have ever had. Period. Difficult to properly describe the charm of this place. Everything was perfection. From Alehandro coming out to meet us on the street and make sure we can find the parking, to check-in, where we were given a tour of the premises and our choice of room (we came during the low season), to the insane view from our balcony, to the large 2-layered room, to the central dining and living rooms. The personalized breakfast, the open access to drinks in the kitchen 24/7 based on an honor system, and the list goes on. We were a 15 minute walk from the main entrance to the Alhambra and 15 minutes away from the city center. Cannot recommend enough.

I really cannot think of a single thing! Just be aware that both parking and breakfast are an additional charge. But still - worth every penny and far more.

Breakfast was personal & served daily by Lorenzo, who was friendly, helpful & cheerful. Eating on the upstairs terrace in quiet with wonderful views of Granada was a real bonus! The house was comfy & if you wanted to lay around & read there was an excellent selection of reading materials available—being a bookworm in addition to an adventurer, I just loved that aspect. Being in the basement in a spacious bedroom afforded an extra layer of coolness, in addition to the air conditioning, which we really appreciated.
