Hotel Carlos V

Very clean room, very very friendly personnel, nice shower cabin and the bathroom in general. We also liked the hotel interior. We have got the baby bed as requested.

The room was too small for two adults and a baby with the baby bed in the room. We also had the window facing the inner yard, this was not OK during the night because of the noise of all the aircos of other rooms hanging on the same side of the wall of the hotel. Breakfast was very modest, but it was expected for this price. What we really didn’t like was the fake coffee from the coffee machine which was terrible. Parking was not free and was a disaster to get in or out, but this is the old town, so be prepared!

The location of the hotel is ideal - in the very center of the city. All attractions are just a few steps away. Bus stop to Alhambra as well as Albaicin also just a few steps away. Easy to check in, hotel staff were very friendly and provided all necessary help and information. The price is ideal, the hotel is located on the 4th floor of the building; You must contact them by mail if you arrive after 10pm; There is a laundromat within a 3-minute walk and a supermarket next to the hotel building; the bathroom is great and has a (SHATAF) toilet shower; hair dryer ; breakfast is cool basic and nice; the staff are helpful and nice. Arriving by car is a bit difficult as there are typical narrow roads and many roads are not allowed but possible. And the hotel offers parking just around the corner.

The hotel was far better than what the star rating suggests. The rooms are larger than they appear in the pictures, beds are made and the shower is excellent - it is one of those showers that have multiple heads. The front desk staff where also helpful too - surprisingly, the hotel is well staffed. The location is excellent too if you want to explore Central Granada. There is no need to use their metro to get to the Alhambra.

The walls are a bit thin, so occasionally your neighbour's sound leaks into your room.

The hotel is ideally located for visiting Granada and Alhambra. Our main reason for choosing the hotel was the availability of parking (we used rented car). The hotel staff sent very detailed instructions on how to reach the hotel (specific streets in downtown Granada are only permitted for local tenants, including guests staying at the hotel). Upon arrival the staff were very welcoming and assisted again in directing us to the location of the hotel parking. If you do take breakfast option bear in mind that the breakfast will not start too early. The room size was ok, but we did not spend too much time in the rooms.

Amazing good value Every single one of the staff: polite, smiley, willing to help . Reception chambermaids breakfast staff. This is an exceptionally charming hotel right in the center of the upmarket area with the boutiques and restaurants.Near The Cathedral and the Arab Street Calle Elvira. Breakfast at 6 euros is plentiful. Plus a beautiful long balcony where y can relax overlooking the roof tops. Thank you to every single one of you. I will be back. Everything was perfect

The hotel is located in the historic city centre, and is very close to the tapas bars of Navas Street. The Cathedral, and the Albaicin district are both walkable. The Alhambra Palace can be walked in around 20/25 minutes, but there are many, many steps involved. The hotel itself is on the 4th floor of a building built in the 1050's. Access is via doors at street level and then in a lift to the 4th floor. Our room was very large with a four poster bed and lots of dark wood furniture, in contrast the bathroom was very modern with a large spa bath. The balcony offered a place to sit and relax in the early evening. Breakfast was offered at 6 euros which was very good for the price. It was simple but plentiful and a good start to the day.

The room was very dark being lit by only two bedside lamps, a desk lamp and a floor standing lamp. All of these seemed to have low wattage bulbs in them making the room very dark. In addition there were no power points (that we could find) so if you wanted to charge your phone you needed to unplug one of the lights making the room even darker. That said we would stay at this hotel again, the staff are great and it's in a good location. But we'd get a brighter room.

And the hotel offers a parking garage just around the corner.

The hotel is in the historical center area of Granada, so you can easily can get to Alhambra in about 20-30 minutes. Or take a bus. There are plenty of restautants and cafes around, so no problem to find a table for lunch or dinner. Friendly and helpful staff. I arrived earlier than check-in time, 2 hours before, but already could get my room. Of course, it depends on the situation with rooms.

Breakfast is limited in options but what was upsetting is the coffee. It's from a regular coin machine. So I'd just walked after to the cafe to have a proper caffeine boost :)

Very good location. A few minutes walk to Calle Navas (the famous street for tapas), cathedral, Rambla square and Plaza Neuva. We went to visit Alhambra by taxi (7 EU) and came back walking as there was a temporary service disruption for taxis and buses due to the visit of the king to Granada that day.

The hotel reception is on the 4th floor of a building. There is no tea, coffee facility or a fridge in the room. Breakfast was just so so

The hotel was beautifully presented with lovely furniture etc.There was free WiFi and a free safe in the rooms, also a beautiful "walk in " shower. The two best things about the hotel was value for money and the staff. All the reception staff were brilliant and so helpful from start to finish and they all spoke very good English.The hotel manager was also very helpful indeed.

We would have liked availability of breakfast in the hotel but we do understand restrictions didn't allow this. There was a pay coffee machine which was good. Although it was not the fault of the hotel, we found it very difficult to find as the main road through, the Gran Via is not open to cars.
