Crisol Guadalupe

Calm, relaxed, professional. I don’t sleep very well anywhere but this was as good as it gets for me. Had a feeling that they could deal with anything without raising an eyebrow.

Is it me or did the signage look a bit ‘out of place.’ Reception and entrance are lovely settings but signage just didn’t seem to play its part in the welcome. And since when did I become a hotel design expert!!!

Our stay at Crisol Guadalupe was absolutely fantastic. The location was unbeatable, as it was just a quick stroll of less than five minutes to reach Alhambra, the true gem of Granada. This proximity was especially appreciated during the hot summer days, allowing us to conserve our energy for exploring. Additionally, the convenience of being able to park our car near Alhambra, practically across from the hotel, was a major bonus. Upon entering our family's room, we were delighted to find it impeccably clean. The custodial staff did an excellent job remaking the bed, ensuring that we had a comfortable haven to return to after our exhilarating (yet tiring) adventures throughout the day. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful evening walk from the hotel to the city center. The weather was pleasant, and we felt completely safe as we strolled through the charming streets. It truly added to the overall experience of exploring Granada. Last but not least, the staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond in providing us with valuable information on how to navigate the city and offered great recommendations for places to visit within Granada.

There wasn't a single thing we did not like.

Location was amazing for being right there at the entrance to Alhambra. Couldn’t be closer. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection. Lovely big bathroom with big rain shower over bath. Great views especially at night with Alhambra lit up Lovely cool air conditioning in foyer. Clean comfortable beds Kettle and tea in room. Very helpful staff.

Only one usable socket for charging phones. Fridge,kettle,TV were all powered by one multi socket. TV was in front of the mirror. Personally am not a fan of dark wooden furniture.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a separating door for our bedroom while traveling with little ones (small break) and made them feel independent also. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast with a good selection of local meats and cheeses as well as plenty of pastry and juice staples. The location was fantastic for touring the Al Hambra being right across the street. Walking into the city center was an easy 10 minute downhill with a slightly more difficult but manageable uphill home. There was a local bus service but I didn’t look into it. Parking was also easy with a luggage drop off spot directly across the street from the hotel and the staff was great with the follow on instructions for parking in the Al Hambra lots (100m walk away). I will stay again if I return to the Al Hambra for a visit.

We booked a room with a terrace that looked out on the Alhambra, it was fab room and good value for the spectacular views offered. The room was nicely decorated and the mattress very comfortable. Persianas and good curtains ensured a dark room at night. Great shower pressure and good hairdryer. Kettle in the room to make tea/coffee. Great location for Alhambra and an enjoyable walk into centre (well connected by bus for the uphill way back). Very nice staff.

The bed base could be more stable. The toilets flush very loud which woke me up. Apart from that everything was great.

Reception staff ( Aurora) was extremely helpful and very nice. The bed was very large and comfortable. Location is right next to Alhambra, you can see the main entrance from the window. Is walkable to the city centre but the way back would be uphill. The bathroom was in good working condition although quiet cramped. Tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Breakfast was only ok. No option to have dinner on the premises, it would have been helpful as the hotel is a bit out of the way. The price was way to high for the standards on offer ( weekend off season) Location is a bit far if you want to spend your evenings in the centre ( is perfect for visiting Alhambra tho)

loved the Spanish/moorish look of the property and the decor inside. Bed very comfy. Bathroom spacious and clean. Nice little balcony that you could walk onto. two little chairs on it would have been nice. Woukx have been nice if the café and or restaurant /bar had been open but it was probably the time of year as to why they were closed

only negative was the noisy plumbing especially during the night when anyone flushing the toilet even the rooms either side was very disturbing. Also the hall carpet outside our room had a big stain on it which wasn’t nice. I think a couple of little rugs either side of the bed would have made the room feel a little cosier and nice to step out onto.

Location is perfect for visiting the Alhambra, it's only a few yards away. Location also perfect for those who enjoy a walk- the view of the snow covered mountains is the reward for following the path up the hill across the carpark. Glorious. Walking to and from Granada,another pleasure, with several routes to choose, one (up the ravine between the palace and its garden) very demanding after a long day, but worth it for the lamp- light atmosphere alone. The hotel has lovely friendly staff, especially the cleaners, good bathrooms, and a varied breakfast buffet. We stayed for four nights, and were happy with the choices, especially the Santiago cake. Chilly bedroom. Noisy plumbing. Noisy neighbours. All tolerable when we decided this was more like an upmarket hostel, and then we remembered that we were in Spain, and the wealth of experience around us - the sights, sounds, dinners,drinks, people, were a Once in a Lifetime Thing, and never to be forgotten.

Overall is a hidden gem at a great price! The location is amazing, right next to the Alhambra parking, which is very convenient. The personnel is extremely diligent and helpful, and although we didn't get to try all the amenities, it was an overall great experience.

The room is cozier than as shown in the pictures, view was not as good as expected, and the AC was not as effective, but manageable.

The location is perfect if you want to visit the Alhambra : you basically just need to cross the street !The staff is very efficient and they can speak french as well :) you can park for free at about 1km or pay the parking., it's hope to you.

As it mentioned in others reviews there is no insulation : you can basically hear everything from the others rooms which can be an inconvenient if you have a long stay term there. It's also a bit far from the center. But if your goal is just to see the Alhambra, like me, then it's the perfect place to stay :)
