Hotel Macià Granada Five Senses Rooms & Suites

The hotel was lovely and we thought it was great value for money. The room was bigger than most other European hotels I've stayed in. It was a little noisy in the mornings as they played music in the corridors for some reason but other than that we had a great stay. Location is fab, highly recommend Sur Coffee Corner for your morning coffee! Super central, easy walking distance to everything. Really good value for money.

Music in the corridors in the mornings and the pool was much smaller than we expected, not that we had good enough weather to use it anyway!

Room has nice modern furbishing with all what is needed. Staff helpful and friendly. Everything was excellent! (Siednote: I was a bit concerned for the noise from the nearby road, but on the second floor with closed window nothing can be heard. Although not possible to sleep with open window (however note that there is airco).) Breakfast nothing special, fine to fill your stomach: omlette, bacon, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, fruit. Available until 11:00. In general, i would defintely come back again.

The breakfast room capacity is limited, so in peak periods, some 5 min waiting for a table is possible. This does not cause a problem for me (but if timing is important for someone, do not leave the breakfast for the last moment.)

The location is very convenient. Bed is very comfort. The family suite has a good size. The sofa bed is also firm and comfortable. The main bedroom is quiet, and the living/child bedroom has a good street view. The small sofa sets and end table are cute and comfortable. Bedding is good. From US, I am very impressed about the long king bed pillow, like a body pillow. Love those! I never see those in US hotels.

The room facing the main street is very noisy. We heard loud noise till 4am in the morning on Wednesday and Thursday nights, which are not even weekends! The other room facing the inside town/neighborhood is very quiet, and one can get a really good rest. Another minor thing is the bathroom. I think the shower has a design flaw. The floor of the shower is higher than the rest of the bathroom. You have to make sure you guide the water to the sewer before opening the showering door. Otherwise, the water will go everywhere in the bathroom. Also, the shower door is transparent to the main bedroom. So one can get a good view of the person in the shower. This is probably shouldn't be a feature for a family suite.

Get a junior suite. There will be a bathtub at the foot of your bed. And even if you don't use it, it's kind of hilarious. And the room is so big that you don't need the space. There's a little sitting area with a couch, there is a good bathroom sink space. Breakfast was pretty good. Location was GREAT for visiting everything. We walked everywhere. Only used cabs to and from the train station. And the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Really good experience.

It would be nice if the door to the bathroom (the part with the toilet in it) was fully sealed around it. It was stylish and beautiful, but I had some GI issues and had to keep running down to the lobby bathroom if you know what I mean. And this is totally picky, but the breakfast was perfectly fine except the coffee maker was a little challenging for some of the older guests and since there were only two nozzles, it held up the line. Even if everyone in the line knew how to use it, it would be an inconvenient line in the middle of a small breakfast room.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms were well designed, very clean, and very comfortable. We had a lovely view from our bedroom. The pool was small but pleasant and the view from the rooftop was excellent. An excellent breakfast, excellent products and good value for money. It was a well located hotel. Really quick responses on booking.com chat window. We arrived at the hotel having had a bad experience the night before and it helped ensure the last two days of our holiday were highly enjoyable - thank you to everyone at the hotel.

The only thing I have to note and the reason I have not put 10 (my 9 is really a 9.8) is that there are not coffee making facilities in the room which would be nice. Other than that PERFECT.

There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the staff were very nice. The room was clean and well presented. The concierge parked our car in their garage and had it ready for us when we were due to leave.

We chose a room at the front as they informed us it had the best view but was on the main road so there could be a little noisy. The view wasn't worth putting up with the road noise. We were on the fourth floor and could even hear people in the street the windows offered no sound protection. It is very noisy on the street through the day and night especially motorbikes.

The hotel is located off of a main street so it was quiet. The staff were nice and gave me a map of the area and tips on how to get to the Alhambra if I decided not to walk uphill to the site. The room was big and comfortable and the hot water in the shower was a nice temperature. All the main tourist sites are within walking distance to the hotel but there are also buses and taxis close by should you need them.

I had a scheduled international phone interview that I had planned on using wifi for but decided to use my cell phone data instead because the wifi seemed a bit unstable so I would be hesitant to do video calls or work remotely from this hotel.

Staff excellent, helpful and friendly. Location is amazing and close to all major sights. Room was very nice and beds were comfortable. Hotel was helpful in responding to requests promptly and positively. Breakfast was very good. My colleague is a smoker and the hotel has a designated smoking area inside the hotel, which was thoughtful. They supplied us with a kettle so we could make tea.

The bar down the road is fairly noisy at night. If you are a light sleeper, you should ask for a room at the back of the hotel. There is only one English channel on the hotel TV, which is CNN, which covers mostly American news. It is frustrating to be unable to get an English speaking international news station such as Al Jazeera or even BBC.

The location was excellent, central yet quiet. The rooms were good, nicely designed. Addition of at least some tea/coffee facilities would be great. The breakfast was pretty good for the price. I also liked the street artist's exhibition inside the hotel.

The swimming pool description can be better so the expectations is not set higher, as it's really small.

Not only was it very comfortable but the staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent recommendations on what to do and where to go. Recommended a great day trip on a local bus to an urban beach.

The pool area is very small and over crowded - difficult to get a seat. The pool itself was more like a fountain. Water as deep as my thighs.
