Apartamentos Recoletos

The place is located in a beautiful area of Madrid, it was very central and great to walk around. Trendy area but still quiet. Room was nice with room service everyday. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Overall, it was a lovely stay and would recommend it.

The kitchen was a little small and hard to cook in, but nonetheless it was nice to have it. It was equipped with most necessary things. You do need to ask for washing soap and materials to wash the plates as they don't give it to you immediately. You may also ask for a coffee machine but will need to buy the pods.

Location was incredible!

The air conditioning didn’t work well.

This is the second time we use these apartments. It is in a great location and its great that there is 24 hour reception. Luckily the room was available early when we arrived before check-in. The staff is nice.

The rooms could be cleaner. The first time we used the apartment the air-conditioning wasn't working. But the second time we used the apartment (a different room) the air-conditioning was working. There is no dish soap to wash the dishes and no dish towels. We had to use the bar soap and a bathroom hand towel. The microwave in the room looked like it had melted (it didn't look safe to use).

The location is the best asset of this apartment. The check in was quick and changing towels almost every day is great.

The furniture is ikea like, not bad but not excellent. I makes the apartment look low quality not in concordance with the upper city location. The studio was not properly cleaned, the sofa and floor had bed crumbs and look not properly cleaned Unfortunately there is an Asian restaurant below so you can get the food smell inside the studio :(

Location was very central and in a nice neighbourhood. Kitchen is a big plus and completely worth it. There is also table and chairs inside the room for eating. Cleanliness was also at very good level.

A bit expensive for such a hotel, but I guess it is normal price if talking about Madrid. Reception service was good/bad strictly depending on a person - one was very helpful, another was rude and was refusing to speak English

The rooms were spacious and the air con worked.

The shower door needs fixing as it got stuck. The sofa bed isn’t the most comfortable. Some of the plug sockets were not placed in the wall properly, and could do with upgrading to include direct wall-USB charge. A depository post box for check-out keycards could be used so customers don’t have to wait in a queue to leave. The elevator is slow, although I understand it’s probably to stop it overheating, but then maybe have 2 customer elevators.

Without a doubt, one of the best places I have every stayed at. The location is AMAZING, the view from my room was unbelievable (Spain's National Library), the room had everything I needed (perfect wifi, air conditioner, good space, safety security box, kitchen, all amenities - they even gave me a coffee machine when I asked for one). the front desk/reception was available 24/7 and helped me with everything I needed. Truly, exceeded my expectations and will definitely stay again when I go back to Madrid!

My only dislike is the color green in one of the walls haha... But that's a more personal preference.

The location was amazing, super close to the main city, metros, attractions etc and it was a safe area. The room and bathroom was very modern and clean. The maintenance staff cleaned the room every day, they were very friendly.

Having a kitchenette, kettle and fridge was so helpful. It woul dbe nice to have some cleaning utensils e.g. liquid wash, sponge and hand towels.

Location is superb! Near to train stations and bus stops.

At first, we asked to be moved to a different room because the AC was not working; it was too hot. The receptionist told us there’s nothing he can do until my father told him he couldn’t sleep as it was too hot. In the end, the receptionist still made a way to get us transferred. Couldve been better if he handled it in a friendlier manner.

The hotel is close to Retiro Park and Prado Museum and not far away from the city center. The staff helped a lot with luggage storage as we arrived very early in the morning. The room is nice and quiet with a spacious bathroom.

kettle was put in the room only after we asked for it. and the trash bin in the kitchen was not cleared, fast food packages from former guests were still left there.
