THB Tropical Island

The territory of hotel is very beautiful. Room is clean. Small kitchenette has everything for cooking. Bathroom has hair dryer, big bottles of shampoo and body wash. We had all inclusive - food was good, but simple, nothing really special. Stuff are very nice and friendly. Swimming pools are very clean. Hotel has beach shuttle few times per day. It is really very handy. Overall hotel is really good for family holidays or senior holidays. Highly recommend it!

We had small ants around the sink. Not a big problem, but little annoying. The buffet almost had no food choice for small kids, was difficult to find something for my 4 yo child.

There is a big pool with music and it is lively, then there are lots of small pools near the rooms which tend to be a bit quieter. The reception staff, waiters, snack bar, barmans and barmaids are very friendly and work very hard.

The restaurants get really busy so i advise to get there early when they open for a nicer experience. The entertainment is not great in the evening and during the day it could be better. The sports bar does not show much football and does not open until 5 pm and does not have sky sports or bt sports - should be renamed to "bar" !

I don’t normally leave reviews however I felt like I needed to this time ! This hotel is amazing ! We’ve just got home from a great stay ! The staff are amazing can’t do enough for you ! I was especially impressed with the life guards they are always on it and always made us feel safe , the reception staff are incredible can’t do enough for you even printed off our documents for us to travel home. House keep is great room cleaned abs fresh towels each day , location is great little tip pay the 10 euro deposit for the back gate key it cuts off about 10 mins of the walk down to the beach but a taxi back is only €3.50, if your thinking about staying here do it there is something for everyone! Each little section has its own pool and the main pool with the slides and splash pads is amazing ! Again life guards are great if you need to find a sun bed although we never had a problem ! Nothing everything was fab

Loads of pools. Cleaners work so hard they were in every morning cleaning, so I am greatful to them for all they did during our stay. The whole complex is immaculately clean.

It's a good distance from main promenade. Should be frequent shuttle busses. Had bar food most days for lunch, it was basic. Dinners we ate out every night as was better value for money and more variety.

The staff. 3 staff in particular. Javi..I've been staying here quite a unexpected few weeks due to a complicated house buy. Since I have been here Javi was kind enough to arrange a special rate for my last 12 days. Which has been very much appreciate by him and the company. Shirley...Housekeeping I've not wanted housekeeping iv been collecting my own towels but wanting a clean and clean bed each week so we have a system I have a note attached to my door saying Im OK nothing needed and Iv been left alone which I appreciate however I see Shirley almost daily and even though like all housekeeping shes always working hard she always has 5 minutes for a friendly chat which makes a huge difference and she is always smiling no matter what and always making sure I defnitly don't need anything Sorry don't know his name. He very blond and Scandinavian looking but has a French accent. The few times I've been to reception like most of the staff always dealing with a full reception juggling clients but always has a smile (even though he must be gritting his teeth) sorry I havnt read his name badge. That's rude on my behalf. It would be nice if some recognition could go on their files especialy Shirley who I speak to daily.

It's like playing the lottery getting through the side gates as theres suposed to be times to use these but their very hit n miss and its a long walk round guessing which gate when you're tired. Also it's a complex trying to save energy etc fantadtic yet the hot tub/jacuzzi is on 24 hrs a day(it's outside my balcony) and when it's cold and raining the big water park features are still working a big waste of energy. These things could easily be switched onand off using WiFi system or pressure systems.

The room was nice and spacious, with separate sitting room and kitchenette. Cleaning ladies very nice and room was cleaned every day. Choice of food was good and delicious. Close to the beach. Big resort, many pools, play area. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful.

Next to our room someone was feeding the cats and leaving food for them. Cockroaches were coming to eat that and few big cockroaches came to our room. It was not nice to have cockroaches in our room. We had to wear bracelets showing which board we have chosen. It was comfortable to have them all the time so we took them off. Last day of our stay we had not nice incident about not wearing the bracelets when going for breakfast.

Loads of pools and activities for the children. Really friendly staff. Great family resort.

The rooms and common areas were a bit ‘tired’. Would have been nice to get some more help with the room. the weather was pleasant so did not need air conditioning but I wasn’t sure I ever got it to work. The sofa bed is a bit confusing, it wasn’t until the last night that we realise it wasn’t a traditional ‘roll-away’ and it had legs to turn it into a double. This was despite messaging the property about it. The pools were a lot colder than expected. Ice creams not included in the all inclusive package at the pool bar was disappointing as then we needed to bring a wallet to the pool with us!

Good breakfast. Spa OK.

Long wait to check in. Could have done with a card in the room with Wifi details, how to call reception etc. There was poolside activities every day from 10.30 to 12.30 which meant very loud, awful music when I just wanted to read next to the pool. Spa was OK but the light was out in the sauna and the steam bath didn't work at all, absence of staff, No real fruit juice with breakfast.

Loved our stay. Nearly every part was perfect. The apartment rooms were very clean and tended to daily, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The convenience of grocery on site was very helpful and it was a short walk to the ocean and shops of Playa Blanca. Lots of activities for our friends with children and the adult pool for us was very nice to find a more peaceful space. The walk around the gardens with the koi fish is a nice touch to the grounds. So much of the staff is multi-lingual, it’s so incredible and inspiring! There were so many things to the stay that were great!

The beds are the only room for improvement I could think of. They are a bit hard for my liking. Rooms with a queen bed option would be nice also, but this did not make me dislike out stay. Just a personal preference.

Cozy apartment complex that we visited before. The buildings, gardens and swimming pools were fairly well maintained and the maintenance staff were very friendly. The bed was fine. The balcony is large and is equipped with sufficient solid furniture. The small pool in front of our apartment was heated.

The main pool is very cold in winter. We are amazed that it is allowed that buses manoeuver forwards or backwards to the reception all the time, disturbing the peace every few minutes. Moreover this is dangerous for children. This could be solved much better and safer by providing a straight forward bus parking space just in front of the car park (whichs is only 20 m steps away from to the entrance of the reception). We don't like the loud music at the main pool, but that is subjective.
