Hotel Santa Isabel

The staff were delightful, the roof terrace gave wonderful views across the city and was a great place to have our breakfasts or enjoy a quiet drink in the evenings. Outstanding cleanliness throughout. Beautiful old building in a quieter part of the city, yet easy walking distance to all points of interest. All in all, a great place, especially as it is ranked 2*, deserves 3* in my opinion.

The WiFi was weak in our room as we must have been a long way from the hub, however, it was fine downstairs when nearer. Not a big problem for us though. No coffee/tea making facilities in room itself, but there was a drinks and snacks machine in lobby. Again, not a big problem for us.

This hotel is located very centrally in Toledo. Despite my concerns, it was easy enough to find, and the instructions were clear. I was worried about leaving the car unoccupied whilst getting checked in and parked, but through luck or judgement, it was fine. The room was cosy but sufficient. I had an inner room, so the view was lacking, but the terrace on the roof, the great value, the service, and the location made up for it.

Not about the hotel - but the drive up is through some very narrow streets and the parking is tight. Which is to be expected, but don't try and do this in a big vehicle unless you are very confident. I guess if it matters to you, there is no english on the TV - which I put here for the readers info, it didn't bother me.

Lovely hotel Santa Isabel. My room was a good size, the air con was a godsend in the hot weather last week. The staff were friendly and the place is run very efficiently. The roof terrace is gorgeous. The WiFi worked consistently. I so enjoyed my stay. Well located close to the Cathedral and historic monuments. There is a small Carrefour supermarket the other side of the Cathedral and plenty of choices of food and drink. All the tourist attractions can be visited on foot from Hotel Santa Isabel by guests with a reasonable/good level of fitness.

There was nothing wrong.

This lovely, homey guesthouse is in the old part of town in a neighbourhood of very narrow winding streets. It's best to take a taxi if you don't know the area. Good location, only a few minutes' walk to the cathedral. It's a great little hotel with a lift and pleasant staff. The bathroom was spacious with good water pressure and lots of hot water. There's a gorgeous terrace on the 3rd floor with views over the city and the cathedral--magical at night! Once all the day trippers leave, the old town is blissfully quiet.

The bed was not that comfortable and the walls of the room are thin. Hopefully you don't have loud neighbours! It can be a little noisy in the morning with garbage and delivery trucks rumbling by on the cobbled streets.

Excellent location. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful terrace with views over the city. The wine (bottle, corkscrew and glasses provided by the hotel receptionist) we enjoyed late into the evening sitting on the terrace. Comfortable beds. Everything !!!

If you’re driving and have a big car, leave it in a car park outside the old town and take a taxi to the hotel. The streets are very narrow (as witnessed by the large scratches on the side of my car) and the hotel parking is really tight. However, don’t let this put you off. This is a most delightful hotel

The location was excellent and the view from the rooftop was spectacular. We returned again at dark and the magnificent cathedral and surrounding skyline was all lit up. The staff were all wonderful people, very friendly and helpful and we absolutely loved everything about the hotel and Toledo. We will definitely be back.

It must be said that if you are travelling in a big car, you will struggle to drive up the very tight and narrow paths to the hotel. we had literally 3 inches either side on the walls to manoeuvre. The car park was safe and sound.

We loved everything about the hotel: the quiet location very near the cathedral; the amazing roof terrace with superb views over the rooftops to the illuminated cathedral and starlit sky; the very helpful staff who organised a taxi for us to Aranjuez (with a metered fate of €68 if you’d like to know!); the spotlessly clean, uncluttered bedroom with beautiful wooden floor; the airy patio; excellent large bathroom; breakfast being served to us instead of a buffet!

There was nothing we disliked about the hotel but we’d have liked it even more if there’d been a safe for our valuables in the bedroom.

The location was brilliant as it was near all the sights of the city. Staff were exceptional, especially when at 1.00 the AC wasn't working & they looked at it ,couldn't fix it so they moved us to another room to sleep & on the morning we moved our luggage. The terrace on the 3 rd floor had amazing views of the cathedral

The ladies who served breakfast were wonderful especially Monica. However it was the same breakfast everyday. Alittle change to what they serve would make it really good for clients staying more than one night.

The location is the best for all the sights. The room was very clean and they freshened it up every day. I would highly recommend staying here. The breakfast had choices. The fresh OJ was a plus.

Someone opened our door the first night and left it cracked open, I can only assume it was the maids? I kept getting a urine smell from the bed and had them change the blanket. The spread was white so it would have shown up. I assume it was the mattress.

The hotel is in the center of Toledo. The room was very nice and clean. The staff is also super friendly. From the balcony there's view on the old Toledo neighborhood. The breakfast was also nice. There's also a rooftop that you need to see, with a great view on old town Toledo. We came with the car and to not go to the old city we left the car on big parking on the entrance to Toledo, approx 25minutes by walk to the hotel. The hotel also have their own private parking. The Toledo city is very nice to visit, we had one day and it wasn't enough for it.
