Hotel Malcom and Barret

Check-in was smooth, receptionist offered to pick luggage from my car and deliver to the room since i had to park and come over with my 3 year old by myself. At reception received coupons for free drink in the bar. Parking is not too expensive,right in the property. Facilities modern and newm A Pre Booked child crib was in the room with bedding and cute child amenities. Bathroom had child tub and toilet adapter (super for families with babies). Plus so many towels were available, even a baby got extra two! Bed was super big and comfortable with duvet and comfy pillows. Shower very nice,overall clean. Night blinds on the window and quiet part of the building gave a good sleep. Really late working restaurant. Late check out time. Play area in the hotel lobby for children. Location is not too far from the center, close to big shopping mall,several supermarketa

Air Conditioning super weak,barely cooled down by the middle of the night,felt very warm in the room and it was mid January... Neighbouring house wall view through the window,nothing else. Room doors with poor soundproofing, all sounds from coridor felt amplified. Water kettle was really missed in the room. Parking is good but extremely narrow ,so not recommended for slightly bigger cars. Flat TV but not Smart.

Great hotel with beautiful and clean room. Good location. Very kind and helpful staff. It was my daughter's birthday and in the morning of breakfast the staff had prepared a cake with a candle and sang a song. Breakfast is excellent. The best butter croissants I had so far in Spain.

Parking is for small cars only. But in general it is not a big problem because you can leave your car on the street (which I did) or use the nearby paid parking lots.

Very good position. The personnel was friendly and the bed incredibly comfortable. Good variety for the breakfast. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

The hairdryer wasn't working and the temperature of the water from the shower wasn't stable: water was suddenly super hot and then cold again, without holding the temperature originally set.

Modern fun lobby with all day bar, coffee and good food from an imaginative menu. Friendly staff. I was grateful to book a triple room for me and my sons, reception guys were very helpful. The location, between the airport and town worked very well for us.

The sheets had fabric conditioner on them. It is rare to encounter this in a hotel because so many people are allergic to the fragrance in fabric conditioner. Unfortunately I am one of those people and I spent the night itching and sneezing. The shower head would not stay up and the whole unit was rocking on the wall so it had to be held with one hand to shower. Our room was in another building, which was fine except that it was a basement room with frosted windows onto the street at foot and exhaust noise level. This should be storage not guest accommodation. It was however well lit and clean.

The breakfast offered some delicious highlights, particularly the well-prepared omelet and the tasty fried mushrooms. The croissants were also quite good. However, I do feel that the variety of cheeses could be improved to add more diversity to the meal. In terms of location, Malcom and Barret is conveniently situated. It is a short 15-minute walk from the "Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias," which is a major attraction. Additionally, it's around a 30-minute walk from the main train station, making it easy to access and providing a direct connection to the airport via the metro.

Breakfast related, the variety of cheeses could be improved to add more diversity to the meal.

Just the perfect hotel for staying in Valencia. Great and peaceful location, despite the proximity of the boulevard. The same distance between the old town and the Oceanographic, the Turia park,... Really good breakfast and food in general. Super helpful staff. Additional services like renting bikes at fair prices turned out to be so useful in a city like Valencia, where you can reach every part of the city within 30 minutes by bike. Definitely, the right place that is worth coming back to.

Nice hotel - comfy beds, clean and tidy rooms, good breakfast, plus helpful and friendly staff (who speak English). It was really handy having the bar/restaurant on site for evenings if you didn’t feel like going out.

The only compromise was that it’s located a little further out from the old town than is ideal. However, bus no. 7 is your friend and it’s very easy to get around once you figure that route out (bus routes maps are available from tourist info). There is also some background traffic noise, at this hotel as it’s on a large road.

An overnight stop en route France. Was it thatI tried to book-in using my Spanish which I had been learning or that we were two weary travellers nearer 80 than 70, but Javad? was wonderful and offered us an upgrade room, plus glass of bubbly to be taken before 8 pm. I was most concerned about the parking and had hoped to have parked in the hotel car park, but our car, with bike carrier was too long, but his colleague immediately offered his private employee parking space! What a welcome! We put the bikes in the garage and parked just behind the hotel…perfect. We had planned to cycle around Valencia in the after of our arrival but with 38 degrees of heat it was just too much. BEWARE the number of people whizzing by on electric scooters! I was almost run over. We ate in the dining room and could not fault the food or service or price. After a very comfortable night’s sleep we partook of an excellent breakfast…..fresh fruit etc, good orange juice and coffee. Staff throughout were so helpful and courteous yet professional.

The breakfast was great, lots of options. I find that the best resource this hotel has is the staff. Javier, Isabel and the others are very kind and helpful. The reception personal was great at all moments.

I seriously liked the hotel, the food and the staff very much but didn't like a strong smell to what seemed to be cigarette in the elevator area before getting to my room. The sort of elevator available at the entrance to bring down or up the luggage is a brilliant idea. We enjoyed the room but the bed wasn't as comfortable as expected for us. It would have been nice if the breakfast was included as this hotel came up in the search when filtering by included breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Not only is it an elegant hotel, it is also an incredibly family friendly hotel. We were given a coloring page and crayons upon check-in. We requested a crib in our room and our daughter was excited to find a special towel and toiletry set inside. She also loved the kids play room and would have happily spent her vacation there. The rooms are comfortable and modern.

The WiFi worked great in the lobby, but was very spotty in the room. The immediate surrounding area of the hotel isn’t that nice, but it’s an easy walk or bus ride to the old city.
