Comwell Borupgaard

Gorgeous jewel of a resort, and well located away from CPH, especially for castles & museums [Louisiana is a must]. Your best Comwell experience starts with buying the spa/fitness option [$70./pp/per-stay] and join the other 'robe-wearing' guests wandering the hotel /grounds... made our 3-day stay very comfortable. Found the bar food/service and breakfasts to be hi-lites of the stay.

Needs better information/communication around the resort... in English for all us foreigners, as Danish is not well known... just for health/safety issues alone! Note ~ the resort is oriented to the younger crowd, so not all that accessible for seniors/handicapped... especially with luggage.

Very nice surroundigs (close to the sea, supermarket, train station) and clean and comfortable room. Copenhagen is at about 40 mins by train. The food was also good. It was also very quiet which we greatly appreciated. Very polite and helpful staff: receptionists, cleaning ladys and restaurant waiters.

We came with our 2 year old child so we could not go to the spa. I do understand the restriction, but it would have been nice if they had a dedicated swiming pool for small children. Also, the room entrance light did not work; it did not bother us that much, so we didn't report it... maybe we should have done it for the benefit of the next guest.... Internet connection in our room wasn't that great (it worked only in certain areas of the room). We did report this, but it did not get better.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, amazing breakfast served and staff was always friendly and attentive. Also the surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and green to enjoy a quite time, close by is the sea side where you can have relaxed and inspiring walks. They have all food options in case you any dietary restrictions (in my case, lactose and gluten).

The sauna facilities were not as good as we thought they would be, we were expecting more, still the time there is enjoyable, although most of the sauna is in a basement. In total there is 1 outside sauna and 3 indoors saunas (max temp is 75 Celsius both inside and outside). 3 Jacuzzis in total (max temp 38 Celsius), 2 outside and one inside.

The hotel is amazing, very cozy and clean rooms. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever tried and the personal was very kind! I love the place and would be happy to come back!

We have done the booking via Booking.com booking 2 rooms for 3 adults and 2 kids. When we arrived we have been asked that we have to pay additionally as in the hotel system it is registered only for 2 adults. We were very disappointed after travelling for so long and it was very later to discover what went wrong, as we have booked other hotels in Danmark for the same amount of people without any problems. That was unexpectedly disappointed! The hotel receptionists were polite but didn't go towards our situation although I had a prove in my email that I have booked it for 5 people. I believe something went wrong in the booking.com system or set up of the booking is not correctly defined by the hotel!

Facilities and proximity to the train station. Very good breakfast. Helpful lobby staff.

It felt that there were bed mites in the sheets. We thought that the maid would change the bedding daily, but that didn’t occur. So one morning, we stripped the bedding so that they had to replace it. At that point, we did not feel that any thing was biting us.

Excellent spa facilities and a lovely dinner. The waitress took the time to include our 4 year old and she really did s great job ensuring she and my vegetarian wife got good food.

Front desk was not so helpful on some of my questions about the spa and booking for a business conference. Would be good if they were upskilled a bit and knew some of the questions or at least how to reference me properly instead of just saying oh that's someone else. Well yes but then give me their names and phone please.

Room was big and beds were comfortable. The hotel was close to the city, but still in a quiet green place. There was good coffee and tea in the room

Price was a bit high. We were not told by the receptionists that there was a spa, otherwise we would have used it. Breakfast was mandatory to purchase and except the strawberry one, juices tasted like the ones of a supermarket. The shower could be cleaner and we both didn’t like at all the smell of the shower gel

The room was very nice and a lot of space - the beds were very comfy

I would have preferred real glasses in the room- there were only two plastic cups in the room. As this is a Spa hotel - you always have a lot of wet swim gear, towels and gowns - but here is nowhere to hang the wet stuff anywhere ....

Great location, very comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast!

- The receptionist was a little confused and gave us wrong information - The restaurant was fully booked for dinner both nights, so we recommend booking a table in advance, not when you arrive. Due to covid you have to expect less spontaneity, but it is for safety reasons though so it's not a negative more like a tip. The negative is more that we were not told it was necessary to book tables in advance upon booking the stay (thankfully you can do room service) as it's not something we have experienced in other places during covid

Excellent breakfast. Close to station allowing easy access to Helsingör and northwards as well as Copenhagen
