Hôtel Bellerive

Reception lady on arrival was very informative and welcoming providing local knowledge and tips for our stay. Steam room and Sauna were included which was an extra bonus we didn’t know about. Spacious room with fab views. Grocery shop and bakers just next door.

The reception was not manned every time so had to find someone to get our key so we ended up just carrying it with us for convenience. One of the bottles of water provided was opened and half empty, we asked this to be changed but it wasn’t. Although it didn’t affect us it is worth noting that the hotel from station and lake is a steep walk.

Excellent location near the lake and center. They kindly upgraded me to a double room on the top floor with a city view and 2 terraces. The room was very spacious and cozy! Wonderful staff - Thomas at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The cleaning staff was very kind as well, a lady even helped me turn on the heater since it started to get a bit cold towards the end of my stay. Bonus points for the free city card they provide upon check in, it comes in handy to get around the city. Parking is convenient, located right behind the building for a reasonable price.

One thing to note is that the bathroom doesn’t have an actual door. No big deal if traveling alone, but something to keep in mind if you’re not traveling with people/someone you’re super close to.

Nice location just outside city center with good transport connections. It is quiet and cozy place, which although in an old building, is brought up to modern look and feel. Very cheerful and helpful staff.

They provide coffee capsules and the respective coffee machine in the room, just like most of the hotels, not only in Switzerland, but also around Europe. There were two capsules in on the first day, and no subsequent resupply. On our inquiry as to why, we were informed that it is too expensive to provide for each day, and we can buy additional ones if we want. We were able to buy a box of 33 capsules for 4CHF, so it seems ridiculous to suggest price is what matters, on a >CHF 100 room per night. I realize it is a minor nuisance, but every other hotel I have been in, resupplied each morning.

The view from the room was really nice - we could see the lake and the mountains in the background. The hotel is placed in a quiet area, relatively close to the main train station (18 min walk, there is also a direct bus). Rooms are air conditioned and very bright - windows in our room were to two sides of the building (corner room). There was also a window in the bathroom. Bathroom was very spacious. On top of listed facilities, the hotel provides shampoo / body wash - it was not mentioned in the room description and I think the hotel should actually add it to list of. It is good to know for the guest that they do not have to take it with them for the stay.

The bed was described as "1 full bed". However, the bed had two separate mattresses and separate sheets, which is not very comfortable for a couple. We are basically forced to sleep apart, so that we do not fall into the gap between mattresses. There is no option to steer the AC - no remote is available, I assume temperature is steered centrally, you cannot adjust it per your taste. During the shower the water suddenly turned icy cold, and then piping hot, might be some issue with plumbing.

This was a wonderful large room for a city centre hotel. There is car parking on site. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and when we had a problem were very efficient in helping to address it. Very clean and comfortable and an excellent breakfast. Also easy with our dog, which is unusual for city stays - grass and easy walking behind the hotel. Lift right by the doors. Excellent.

I got an upgraded large corner room with a fantastic lake view. Staff were friendly. Location was good for walking around Lausanne. Highly recommended if you are staying in Lausanne.

It would have been nice to have a restaurant on site for dinner, but there were choices nearby so it was no big deal.

Hotel Bellerive is an exceptional place to stay. Location is perfect.. 20min walk or 10mins by bus (the transport day pass given by the hotel was very useful).. rooms were clean and a good size, the nights stay was quiet (although we were the ones with a crying baby 🙁)...my partner also took advantage of the steam room and sauna available. but most of all the staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful! Thank You Hotel Bellerive for a great stay in Lausanne. I would highly recommend the place!

The staffs are super nice. When checked in, a female staff told me information on visitable locations for trips around the city and even how to get the locations very kindly and in detail. I was super impressed and it was very helpful for me.

Last day, a housekeeper entered my room while I was taking shower in the morning.

Good location for business in the Vidy/Ouchy area. Convenient both for car (reasonably priced parking) and public transport (city transport card included).

A bit dated bathroom and hallway/lift infrastructure. Not all rooms are renovated like in the pictures. Reception closed overnight.

Both the lake views and the city views were nice. Location was great to access the lake, parks, restaurants, and public transportation (free with hotel stay). All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Could make it more clear that some rooms do not have air conditioning.
