Lausanne Palace

The spa is lovely The concierge very helpful The suite we booked was 2 completely separated hotel room/bath each with a main door into a small hallway to access both separate rooms. Excellent arrangement for sharing without sharing!!!!!

The hotel did not inform us that booking a restaurant would be so difficult. We arrived on a weekend before Christmas but I would expect to be able to dine in the hotel at least. We had to walk many areas and luckily were accepted in a fab resto at Brasserie de Montbenon- a short walk from the hotel through the lovely gardens at Esplanade de Montbenon. An amazing rococo vaulted dining room with fabulous food and excellent staff.

The service was superb and the word would not do justice! Christophe, Felician, Eduard and all the other stuff we have encountered have been so positive, genuine and helpful that they have been the highlights of our two days at LP. The building is very historic and cozy at the same time. And the attention to details when it comes to the things they prepare for you at your arrival and at the turndown service are so touching. (A bottle of water and a glass would be there by your bedside along with Swiss Chocolate on the pillow at the turndown. And when they saw it was our anniversary from my booking request, they prepared rose petals on our bed! We stayed also in Beau Rivage Palace after Lausanne Palace, and despite the reputation of BR, the service level at the LP was so so so much higher that we wished we had stayed at LP for our entire stay.

The only things were that the room decor was a little plain and also the fact that the drainage and water pressure in the shower did not work the best. Also wished the room had not only the bathtub but also a shower booth.

It was beautiful and a good location. Lovely staff. You are treated as a valued guest.

There is a dance club that shares the building that you hear clearly in your room on a Wednesday night until 3 am. I would recommend getting a room on the right side of hotel. I was surprised you were not given earplugs or warned. That is usually how those things are handled at other hotels I have stayed in.

everything. seriously the best service I have encountered in ages at any hotel. I considered whether to splurge on this property or stay somewhere less elegant. But I am so glad I booked this hotel - it has old world style with very modern attitude and service. Front desk and concierge were all awesome, as was restaurant and spa staff . they even put dog bowls and a little bed in the room for my pup! make sure to ask for a room with a balcony if you can 😍

Lovely old hotel with comfortable spacious rooms. The location was good in the city centre. The food was delicious although quite expensive.

The walk from the train station and Lake was steep. The staff were a little aloof - I had to wait some time for check-in because they were on the phone and not acknowledging me. The room service selection was limited Mon to Thurs.

Beautiful hotel, very impressive historic building, very friendly staff. There are many efforts to modernise the place. Our room was modern, cosy and tastefully decorated. Very traditional, albeit welcoming and cosy atmosphere.

Some areas of the hotel are dated or very dated: elevators, dimly lit hallways in pure 1980ies style. SPA very welcoming and agreable, but also shows some traces of age. Breakfast is average, but in a nice café-style place with very friendly staff.

the bar experience was not as I'd have expected: a DJ who played too loud and dance music which didn't fit to the bar & hotel in my opinion, I didn't get served the second time I went to the bar because the waiter didn't notice me

- incredible staff especially Mr steffano - very good parking - the food was delicious - in the heart of the action - the room was spacious and comfortable - sunset was spectacular from my balcony

- fridge is warm - sounds are everywhere since it’s an old palace - electricity is strange if you switch off the lights you can’t charge your phones - lobby cafe closes very early

The bed was incredibly comfortable and sheets were just perfect. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable. The service was top-knotch. I would like to particularly acknowledge Guillame at the front desk who extended my check-out without any hesitation. The concierge team ( especially Christophe and Wilson) was extraordinary and they provided the best service ever. They made our family stay superb. One last person I would like to acknowledge was Delphine at the spa. She was so kind to my daughters and her smile was just angelic. Overall, everything far exceeded our expectations! Thank you! We will definitely be back!

Our Amazing Room - On arrival the Hotel was full and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to The Coco Chanel Suite which was amazing, we were speechless as the verandah, room and view were the best we have ever stayed in on our travels around the world. We were so greatful it has been the highlight of our trip. "Thankyou Lausanne Palace". Our room we had originally booked also looked amazing!
