City Seasons Al Hamra Hotel

Receptionists were friendly with quick actions. (But there was no proper explanation about the facilities, such as location of restaurant for breakfast at check-in time. ) Fitness station was good, especially "STEAM Sauna" and "Dry Sauna" were enjoyable. Breakfast was good but it was very crowded at that time.

Air conditioning switch were uncontrollable, which means the same temperature set by "COOL mode", "FAN mode" or even "HEATER mode". In addition, the airflow was facing us directly, so we could not sleep well. It was very uncomfortable at room 918.

The hotel's location was just perfect for me to explore Abu Dhabi's main attractions. It is in the very center of a lively everyday hustle and bustle with multiethnic shops and restaurants around. Also the Corniche beach promenade is just around the corner that allows you for a relaxing stroll. My room was calm and I slept quite well on the large and comfy bed. Having a tea & coffee bar at my disposal as well as two big complimentary water bottles was a gesture I appreciated a lot.

As to housekeeping quality, it was ok and could definitely be improved, but the employees might be on rather low salaries, I suppose.

The location is great! A short taxi ride to all the interesting sights. They gave us a free upgrade on arrival. We stayed in a spacious one-bedroom suite with two bathrooms, a large living room, and a dining room. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good and included various options. The staff in the breakfast room were very nice and helpful. It sometimes appeared, however, they could use extra people in order to accommodate the constant flow of guests. Reception staff were also polite, helpful and professional. Thank you for a great stay!

The Wifi signal in our room was weak and kept dropping; probably because it was the last room down the corridor and too far from the router. Housekeeping missed us on our first day, but they brought us towels and replenished coffee, tea, and water right after we called them.

It was my second stay in the hotel, and everything had improved compared to my first visit some time ago. I got a very spacious room as always, on the top floor. It was very quiet, clean, the bed very comfortable, and the staff very attentive as always in every request. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.

It would be a plus if the restaurant was smoke free, so as the guests (and not only) would be able to use it for meetings, casual dining, working. Due to the bad smell & smoke, I could not stay there to eat my lunch/dinner or drink my coffee and work. It's a pity they don't take advantage of it, as it would produce more revenue. Moreover, replacing plastic in toiletries in the room (shampoo, shower gel) by using fixed containers that will be refilled, as well as using glass water bottles in the rooms instead of plastic would be a plus.

Nice old school but renovated hotel in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Location is spectacular, value for money pretty good. The rooms are big, well kept and clean. All the facilities are available for you, you just have to ask. Easy to check in and check out. Great place to stay.

If you have to find something that it wasn't at the top in this hotel is the toilet in the rooms. Still pretty "old school" but all functional and ok. They still have the bath tub as in all the Emirates, but I'm sure as they renewed the room, they will take care of the bathroom too.

Since the outlook of the hotel is old on the site, we expected the facility to be worse, but the hotel was better than expected. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is cooperative. City Seasons in Abu Dhabi is much better than City Seasons in Dubai.

The WiFi is terribly slow, and I could not connect. I highly recommend that you fix the network. One device did not connect at all till the end of the stay. The facility is old in general but in comparison to the price, it's worth the value.

even if it was a non smoking floor, it was a strong cigarette smell coming from ventilation. i asked the reception for my room to be changed and i got a free upgrade. it was a nice suite at the last floor but i would recommend to avoid the last floor because it is extremly noisy. the ventilation is installed on the roof and the noise its very strong 24/7. furniture is very old and it has the smell of old furniture. no balconies. hotel blocked an amount as a deposit and it was released when i left the hotel. the price is too high for what they do offer.

Well, I really didn't know what downtown would be like but it worked out good, there was a Starbucks close by and we find a couple of really exceptional restaurants Mosiac Cafe next to SB and a broasted chicken place close to hotel. There is a Spinney's Liquor market in walking distance too. Staff was exceptional, they gave us an upgrade and allow us to extend our checkout 2 hours.

It was an older hotel, everything was dated but in good condition. Breakfast was average but plenty of options.

The location was awesome in the city, we could receive taxi immediately. Excellent. They upgraded the reservation to a bigger one with extra space

The tv was a little old not smart tv and I didn’t find USB connection in the living room but in the separate bedroom it was available on a device connected to tv I don’t know what it was, I didn’t know how to connect my chrome cast to the Wi-Fi because it required access to browser that wasn’t installed in my device, they didn’t answer the phone I called two days in a row, the only way of communicating I use was through booking.com
