Country Gardens Motor Inn

Spacious room, well equipped kitchen. Quiet location on town outskirts but very close to town centre. Soon after posting my review the motel manager rang me to query my staff rating of less than excellent. He wanted to know if we'd had any staff issues - which we had not, but there was nothing exceptional either. It's good to see a proprietor monitoring their customers' comments and interested in making improvements if necessary.

Although located slightly away from the center of town, the motel is easily accessible and quiet. The rooms are very spacious with a lounge and table provided for eating meals if you so desire. Very clean, comfortable, and well-presented. Good internet access and large televisions in the room allow for streaming. Plenty of parking for those who have two cars.

The shower is an older design with access over the bathtub which might be a little more difficult if you have mobility issues; however, there may be other rooms designed for better access to the shower. This is not a criticism and did not affect my stay at all - just an observation.

After reviewing feedback on motels in Cowra we found this little gem. Neat, tidy and very comfortable. Room was very large with small dining table, microwave, cutlery, toaster, kettle etc, also had a lovely large bright bathroom. The hotel has easy access from the road with parking right at your door. Staff also super friendly. Given its location we were a little concerned about any road noise however we did not have any noise at all during our stay. Highly recommend. Excellent value for money. As a bonus we were upgraded from a queen room to a king room, next time we stop by we will purchase the king room, the bed was sooooo comfortable. There was no breakfast but cafes were close by and other options for meals were offered and taken up. My first meal ended up as two as it was so large, but I was warned :) Good country hospitality. I would like to express my pleasure at the thoughtfulness of the person who registered us on arrival. I happened to mention it was my husband's birthday whilst we were there when asking for a recommendation of where to celebrate it. Within a couple of minutes of our unpacking he arrived at our door with two bottles of wine, asking red or white? What a wonderful start to our stay. Thankyou. The facilities were spotlessly clean, the room large, the bed sooo comfortable, and we were in #18 tucked around the corner with a private garden.

Nothing. We enjoyed our stay in Cowra mostly because of this motel and its owner? manager?

Unknown to us, original booking was for a special needs room but we were upgraded to another room at no additional cost. Room was huge and very comfortable. Great king sized bed, large flat screen TV and excellent internet speeds. Bathroom was spacious and towels and toiletries were excellent. Ability to park car in front of room. Only 17 rooms in the complex. Reception was most welcoming and made sure all was meeting our requirements,

Nothing really. May be a small leakage from the shower across the bathroom floor. A powerpoint near the table would assist when using a laptop.

Modern unit with great layout with two-seater lounge and small table and chairs. Small kitchenette with a microwave, crockery, cutlery and a sink for washing up (so much better than doing dishes in the bathroom). Hosts also provided suggestions for eating out if you wanted to but we were more than happy to use the facilities in the room. Large screen TV and a really comfy bed. It's on the outskirts of town and we were at the rear of the complex and could not hear any road noise. A great place to stay and we loved it!!!!!

IT was cold winter weather but the room had a heater & electric blankets & was quite warm. Good lighting, carpet & hot water. The bed was comfortable. Staff were good & helpful & loaned me a mobile phone charger which I'd forgotten.

My ' must have ' for a great Motel is ' car cover ' & regrettably there was none here - result - iced over windows on the car & a delayed start for the day. It was also a ' bit ' out of town & some of the opposition were closer.

Oh wow this place was very spacious, so much room a large bathroom, with extra lights around the vanity, large mirror with large vanity, lounge, desk, kitchenette table and chairs overlooking a beautiful garden, so nice to sit at the table with a great view and the sun shine coming in while eating breakfast a bench seat outside the door to relax and enjoy the garden, so quiet inside very peaceful place to stay, the owner even checked with us that everything was ok in the morning. I would definitely stay there again, a very neat and tidy place. Also another mirror in main room. Loved this place. 10 out of 10 thank you for making my stay comfortable.

The change of management has been a huge plus. We stayed last year and it was not a good experience. Matt has done a fantastic job turning that around. He was lovely - we texted we were being held up by rain on our drive from Sydney and he made sure the room was heated and the key in the door. It's actually our third stay because we were married in Cowra 25 years ago and stayed at the Country Gardens. It was a lovely surprise to discover we were in the same room! Only the carpet and TV had changed. Matt said they are intending updating the furniture, but we actually liked the shabby chic thing. It was clean, comfy and the spa was fantastic.

It's a long way from town so I think there really needs to be a breakfast or some sort of access to food because the petrol station doesn't offer anything for evening arrival and morning pre check out.

I will definitely be returning here, the room was a great size the only issue we had was the refrigerator was not working properly leaving things far from cold . Beds were fabulous room was clean and very spacious location was quiet at night . over all We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Fridge was not working well at all but was reported t manager who said he was un aware and he would see about replacing it on Monday.
