Clansman Motel

Instant Coffee, was a good brand, it was NOT Nescafe, I hate Nescafe. I also loved looking out the window of my room to see the open fields and the Kangaroos I saw. The owner was a lovely lady who was there for me when I needed her. And she provided great customer service. And it was very quiet, no disturbances at night.

Bed was good, but could be a little softer. Still I had a very good nights sleep. Comfortable motel, I am happy,

We were greeted by a very friendly staff member and his daughter who, in the short absence of the manager, made us feel especially welcome. The rooms have been updated since our last stay, with new carpet, fresh paint, comfy bed, and renewed plumbing in the shower. Our thanks go to the cleaners as the room was outstandingly clean. We enjoyed parking under cover outside our room which made unpacking the car much easier during a large rain storm. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

The motel, like most others in town, is on the highway and while we we untroubled by noise on the first night, large trucks in the early hours of our second night were disturbing.

Very pleasant welcome from the manager; she offered us fresh milk and answered a few questions I had. The motel is not modern but offers a well equipped room with excellent undercover parking at the door. We appreciated a clean room, fluffy good sized towels and an oversized rain shower head. There was an easy chair each, a dining setting and the room was a great size. Breakfast was on offer but an early start meant we didn't sample it.

The location isn't handy to the main town centre, but on a rainy evening that was easily fixed with a cab to the services club costing under $10.

The room was very tidy upon arrival. We had a little difficultly with the heater/aircon unit however the owner (a very nice happy gentleman) quickly came to the room to get it working, which we were very grateful for as it was 8 degrees outside. There was already a small container of milk in the fridge also. Even though you are right on the highway there is very little noise, if any, that you can hear in the room.

The car cover area is just a tad short to fit in the whole length of the car and leaves your boot out in the weather (it was raining upon our arrival) and there are signs requesting you park "nose in", so luggage got a bit wet. Also as the car cover is also a low clearance any roof aerials on larger four wheel drives hit. We woke to ants in our room along the desk/bench area.

This was a great place to stay. Room was welcoming.., comfy bed, great hot shower, Undercover parking was great as it was raining. Breakfast was included. Continental Breakfast : Choice of Cereal and Choice of bread for toast ( and condiments) to have in our room at our leisure provided on a tray to us by our host Rachel. Rooms also had Tea and coffee making and some biscuits. Fresh and Clean... with some little extra touch's . a lovely place to stay for a night .. or longer..

Nothing all good

Although dated in style, the room was exceptionally clean and the bed comfy. The water was hot and pressure fabulous. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming, and the provided breakfast tray super convenient, especially for an early start. Ridiculously good value for a night stopover.

The AC did not work fabulously, and on a quite hot night that was a little troublesome. The trucks on the main road were loud, but there weren't many.

Easy access on and off the new England highway, plenty of room to park your car, Quiet are...little or no road noise. Good TV reception, very comfortable room with good A/C and heating in the bathroom.

Everything was great but being on the main highway a little noisy but we were fine with it because we seem to be a ble to sleep through most things.

Crockery & cutlery would have been handy. Being elderly we had our own in our picnic basket

Clean, warm, great bathroom hot water and ceiling fan/heater, good thick towels. Very obliging staff.

It is not the establishment’s fault, but it is located in the southern outskirts of town so may be a little way from town. But, if you are travelling in from the south, it is a great place to pull up and stay the night during a long trip.

Close to town centre. Comfortable. Convenient. Undercover parking and conveniently close to the rooms so we didn’t have to carry our bags for miles to our room.

We didn’t seem to have a ‘do not disturb’ or ‘make up my room’ sign to notify staff if we did or didn’t want our room serviced, beds made etc.
