ibis Dinant Centre

Just a short stroll to the centre of the town where there are many bars and restaurants with a great atmosphere. Hotel is directly on the river Meuse and the rooms at the front have good views. Our room was at the back overlooking the carpark. Parking our motorbike directly at the front of the hotel was a bonus. Very clean room and an excellent shower. Storage is good; plenty of shelving.

Adequate facilities but no kettle/coffee/tea available. Plug sockets were limited to just 2 in the room, and those were not by the bed. There was no mains water available in the morning; this was beyond the hotel's control and was an issue in the town. However, on informing the front desk the staff were not very forthcoming in providing bottled water. Communication on when the water supply would be available was limited and we checked out of the hotel having not had any drinking water.

Friendly staff, very informative and helpful, room exactly as requested and was clean and spacious. Excellent breakfast, with fresh pressed orange juice, continental with cold meat and cheeses, fruit, salad, yogurt, hot breakfast, cereals etc. Location: situated a little further than 'centre' out of town with gentle slope along the street (about 5 mins) to the main river promenade and restaurants (about 15 mins to the main bridge). Public areas of the hotel were very clean and spacious.

There was nothing to dislike

We love it here and will definitely stay again, next time we plan for longer. The evening pizzas are just right after a long days drive when you are tired and don't fancy going out anywhere. The beer and wine is good too. Really nice breakfast with lots of choice. Our dogs are always welcome and it is nice that we a sit in the bar with them in the evenings and also for breakfast. We had our room changed upon arrival when they realised we had dogs with us and were moved from the second floor to the ground floor and got a room with a fab view of the river. We really appreciated this, thank you

Good location you can walk to the towns main attractions. Staff friendly and welcoming. River view rooms nice but a bit noisy with window open (trains and road on opposite bank and riverside path below window) but it all settled down about 10pm for a quiet night. Breakfast was amazing with fantastic selection of food a of all descriptions. I defy anybody to be dissatisfied with what it offered. Hotel parking is limited but large public car park very close by as well. No restaurant but ready meals available 24/7. We did not try them as good selection of restaurants nearby. some of the previous reviews mentioned it was a bit tired but I think they have recently done some work because our room on the ground floor and the food and bar area were in good condition. .

Being bikers, the hotel is in an ideal spot between the UK and The Black Forest. The hotel is clean, the decor is modern and well maintained and the food and breakfast are wonderful. Having a beer on the balcony was so nice after a long ride! We could also park our bikes literally outside the front doors, nice and safe. The staff were friendly and professional and it's just a short stroll from the sites of the river town of Dinant, so after dinner have a wander.....the sights are amazing. Top Tip....visit the Chinatown Restaurant Chinois on the riverfront.....the food is amazing!

Nothing really!

We chose this hotel for its location by the Meuse, and it did not disappoint. The room was pretty basic (eg no kettle in room) but we expected that from the price. It was worth paying extra for the river view. Parking nearby was a bit hit and miss, but there is plenty in the area, just maybe not on a busy Saturday afternoon in June. Having recently injured my knee I was concerned the hotel might be a bit far from the town's restaurants but it's a short walk up the riverside path. The terrace at the hotel is a relaxing spot to enjoy a drink.

I'd have liked a kettle in the room, though I am sure I could have nipped down to the dining area to get an early morning coffee.

The hotel is just fine to visit Dinant. The standard Ibis hotel - standard lobby, standard rooms, just everything you need to take a shower and sleep. Very nice and helpful staff at the reception and the bar. Very nice terrace to sit, drink beer and have a magnificent view of the river and the rocks. A very nice walk on the river bank to the centre. Good breakfast.

Our room was just above the main entrance to the hotel and smoking people stand directly there so a lot of cigarette smoke went directly to our room and we could not have the window open.

A lovely hotel in Dinant, with great location and excellent value. Really enjoyed our short stay, it felt relaxed, welcoming, very well maintained and had good facilities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and well maintained with comfortable beds. We had parking onsite. We have stayed at this hotel before and would definitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit.

hotel is on the river. car park next door- very easy to find. we had to get two rooms as there were no rooms for 4 people but it was very reasonably priced. beds were amazing - I could have slept for days! breakfast was really good value - lots of options. shower was spacious enough and good pressure. staff friendly and helpful. dinner in the restaurant was a helpful option as it was pouring with rain.

We were blessed with beautiful sunshine on Easter Sunday 🐣. A restful place to enjoy evening strolls along the river. Must visit the castle 🏰

We could not find saxophone live music. It will be great to promote Dinant if much can be organised. Music 🎶 is part of our lives. My son was slightly disappointed. But I encourage him to return in the future with his friends in the orchestra and bring musicial instruments.
