The location was good, a five minute walk to the main square and a lot of restaurants. We did eat in the hotel as well. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the reception staff and bartender spoke English, which was really appreciated. It made a good base for a series of day trips.

Location, price, size of room and bathroom were good
We live in the interior of amazonas. When we made our booking, we let them know. We would be there early around 11 o'clock due to our travel from the interior to the city.. There was no early checking, which we understand, though. If there was, there was an R149 charge. When we arrived, the man at the counter checked our reservation and then made us wait 4 hours. Then, he told us that our check-in was wrong. And it was only for 1 person, not for 2. To add the one person, he wanted to charge us R149. Online was R19. We called booking dot com and they corrected the issue no problem very friendly. After the change was made, a woman came out. I think the manager she had no time for customers. Not just with us, but anytime she was present. She acted like customers were putting her out very unprofessional. Breakfast we told was from 6 to 10 when we went to eat. It was actually six thirty to 9.30. We know sometimes in business there can be off days. There was a lot off at this hotel. However, we'd be willing to try it again. But with the same customer service, we would never stay there more than twice.
