Cambana La Rivière Hotel

This is a GEM in Battambang downtown area which very convenience access to all shopping landmark and accesories store, this is very BRAND NEW hotel with exceptional designed, classic mixed with modern life style. The hotel room has wide space and very clean, hotel has their own signature breakfast serve with tropical fruits. Pleas do not forget to try their tasty home made coffee and tea on your trip, hotel is not so big but very privacy, defitely come back on my next trip with family.

The room was very spacious and modern. AC worked very well. Breakfast was varied. Staff friendly and did their best to accommodate us.

It was rather small, my room was pool side, so very close and very loud when a family with boisterous teens were enjoying themselves past pool hours. When asked about this, the front desk said that hours had been extended even though the paperwork we were handed at check in earlier that day noted that the pool hours ended at 8 pm. The location was right in the middle of a residential area with rather rough roads and lack of sidewalks. Local restaurants had a bit of rather loud music at night, which was surprising as it was a weekday and not a weekend.

I believe its newly built in 2021. Nice an cosy little Hitler. Staffs are shy, little English, but understood all my requirements. There is a male manager who speaks good English. Helpful to book tuk tuk on APP , and not book expensive transport. Breakfast has great selections and cook to order, love it. Bed, big and comfortable Room, spacious and clean Pool is great for a dip We came here for the Phare Circus schol and Cambana is ocated only 2km from it. Location, walkable to many restaurants within 10mins away. Highly recommended to anyone who is in batambong

We really enjoyed our stay at this small new hotel with well appointed rooms, a very nice pool and surrounding area. The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. There are a number of options for breakfast including a good Asian/Khmer selection and all the ones we sampled were very good quality and substantial. We dined in the hotel one evening, food (Asian) was very tasty and well presented washed down with a bottle of French red at $11. The hotel is around a 10 minute stroll to get across the river where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. If you don't fancy walking, tuk tuks are always available for around $1-$1.50.

This is a great little hotel in a very good location in Battambang. The staff are extremely courteous and always smiling. They really can’t do enough for their guests. The facilities are amazing, beautiful big rooms tastefully decorated and amazing bathrooms. Our room had a pool view and table and chairs to sit outside. The pool area is delightful and with 2 for 1 cocktails perfectly made by the girls there’s nothing not to like. Excellent food at breakfast and dinner served by excellent staff. We stayed for 2 nights and would really recommend this hotel as good value.

The Hotel was good. the rooms clean the standard fine. The ventilator was noisy also the aircondition. The standard of the bathrooms was okay but not nice

In the morning the at 7 am they starting with drilling in a room. It was horrible! After a call to the reception, they told us, that we can have a breakfast. We reclaimed this and we get to beer for free :) Booking com: You get not the best rooms. The first was a room, with no pool view. Afrer reclamation they give us a better room.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable. Staff were very kind and quite friendly. Checkout is 12 noon, which is wonderful.

The bath in the Presidential Suite is enormous and honestly impossible to fill; especially with the very limited hot water available. Breakfast was ok, but rather inconsistent. Bread and fruit were supposed to be provided in addition to a main course and tea/coffee and juice, but we tended to get one or the other while other tables got both without having to ask. I got two slices of quite stale bread while my partner got gorgeous slices of baguette. Wait staff tended to have difficulty in remembering which table had ordered what, so there was some confusion on both mornings we were there. These are small observations, however. The Cambana is a relaxing oasis in Battambang and a welcome respite from the frantic activity in the city centre.

Beautiful hotel tucked away from the main road. You can walk into the centre in 10-15 min or get a 5 min tuktuk for $1-2 usd. Our room was so nice and spacious with a comfortable bed and lots of storage space for clothes etc. the bathroom and shower was very good! Staff were very nice and courteous. The pool area is beautiful and a nice place to relax.

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room and it was not much better in the common areas so we struggled with some of our research/ bookings we needed to do. Breakfast is ok if you are veggie or eat meat although not quite as pictured on the menus. as a vegan the breakfast options were limited as they had no alternative milks or vegetarian options for the local breakfast (rice/ noodles etc). The restaurant is in an air conditioned room which is nice but there were quite a lot of flies still which were a nuisance. For the price we wish the Wi-Fi had been better!

The location of the hotel was perfect. We walked into town on our last night to grab a bite to eat and walked back to the hotel. It was a great way to get a feel of Battambang. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us organize our tours with an excellent Tuk Tuk Driver named Polo. We also organized a cooking class at the hotel which was great fun.

Outstanding "potential" hotel (rooms/hotel) just renovated but more training needed (and happening as I write this)! New rooms & bathrooms outstanding!! Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, clean sheets & towels (new), good lighting ("soft" & adjustable from bed) & quiet during the week (huge plus for me). No Karaoke bar or street noise thankfully during the week (slight bit of noise from ~1km away on Fri & Sat nights but nothing major). A/C powerful (another huge plus in the hot season for me) in rooms! Location is good. 5 minute walk to riverfront but far enough away from busy streets & bars. Excellent breakfast (9/10) from 6.30-10am included cappincino, lattes, etc in addition to standard coffee. You have a choice of eggs (any way), pancakes, cereal, etc. Orange, pinnacle juice, etc. Fruit platter (6-7 different types of fruits) as well. Hotel is just about complete but renovations still going Monday-Friday from ~10am-3pm. If you ask, they will delay work until after your stay. I asked & they delayed a few days. If you're out sightseeing all day, shouldn't be an issue. The hotel is new so it doesn't have many reviews. I was a bit hesitant to book because there were few reviews and one not so good review regarding breakfast, renovations, unreliable wifi, & lack of English spoken. That review was correct at the time (for the most part) but the breakfast has definitely improved from that review & you can request they stop work during your stay (nothing major- just minor finishes). I experienced a lack of English (5/10 from staff) but I am "self sufficient" so I don't really need a lot of "tour" related advice, etc. from hotel. I can figure this out myself & I have a local SIM card with 70gb of data so reliable wifi not an issue for me.
