We have just spent 4 fantastic nights here. The resort is set in a village on the outskirts of the city and feels semi rural. The rooms are lovely and designed to mimic traditional houses - but with wonderfully comfortable beds and glorious fabrics. The days have followed a relaxing pattern. You awake as dawn clears to the sounds of the birds, and distant local music or village life. Breakfast is a feast. Then off to do what ever had been organised. One of the greatest strengths of MWK is the owner Kim. He will organise everything with a smile and his depth of local knowledge. For us the heigh point was a trip to Banteay Chhmar. Back in time for a swim in the pool, before dinner. A daily changing 4 course menu of Cambodian food is one option. This is a lovely resort. Made truly superb by the staff. Always smiling, friendly, and eager to help. Very much recommended.

The setting of the hotel is very beautiful and some of the interior architecture is stunning. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was very good. Transport was also readily provided which was helpful given we needed to travel into the city center for several events. We asked for an extra mattress topper based on previous reviews which no doubt improved the bed comfort so it was fine.

Given the timing of our visit ( it is the very hot season ) at times it was a little unpleasant eating outdoors with just fans. Our room also struggled to stay cool during the day. Unfortunately the pool water was quite hot by the middle of the day so it was less refreshing than one would hope.

A small hotel with separate houses set in a lush garden. Traditional furniture in the rooms. Comfortabel bed. A peaceful green heaven to visit rather build up Battambang. Helpful hosts.

The premises could be better maintained. The garden has beautiful plants but is not very inviting because it is not cleaned up. The pool area has seen better days. The breakfast is good but the service is a bit chaotic. The aircon is rather noisy. One get a bit the feeling that all is very calculated to save money which is a pity.

The staff is very welcoming, kind and helpful. The decor is natural and beautiful. We loved the view over the lily pond, especially in the evening. Our room was lovely, spacious and quite clean. Great shower! We liked the chairs on the balcony and sitting areas around the property. Coffee and tea are always available and included. The breakfast was delicious and generous.The dinner was also delicious though portions were small. This is such a lovely and relaxing place to stay, so comfortable and beautiful. We loved our tour of the countryside too!

The pool area furniture was in need of update. The set menu for dinner portions were small.

The hotel is a lovely oasis after a busy sightseeing day in Battambang, on the Bamboo train and on the road. Sitting next to the lily and lotus pond is serene and the food really wonderful. The hosts (with 25 years of experience as a guide) are great at organizing transfers, English speaking remorque drivers and help booking sightseeing and the tickets to the Circus Phare, which should not be missed! This was a big highlight! We also loved that the hotel is environmentally conscious and tries to reduce plastic. Kim Nou organized a private boat to Siem Reap - and we loved the lunch package in palm and banana leaves.

There were still only a few guests and we were probably the first ones to use the pool again. The chairs around the pool could have been a little cleaner. The water did not work one afternoon, but the hosts were immediately doing everything to fix it and less than 5 minutes later, we had water.

The location is nestled in a cute neighborhood and is a calmer pace compared to Siem Reap, which I prefer! The facilities are well maintained with an antique vibe. The staff is lovely and made our experience so much more special.

I loved the environmentally friendly property and the elements of nature that are intertwined throughout the space. The massage service was an experience within itself. it was right along the pond and was such a relaxing and beautiful service.

Kim&Sophia&the rest of the staff were very hospitable and kind to chat to. The food both Khmer and Western food was very delicious at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and in traditional khmer style while the hotel grounds are lush and beautifully lit at night. Battambang is a place to go to get a real Cambodian experience. Perfect place to walk around in the villages and experience the beautiful hearted locals and feel the harmony of the land.

The place is filled with trees and plants. You can hear the sound of the birds and feel at peace. The property interior is designed as a traditional Cambodian room. The service of the staff is amazing and everyone is very friendly and helpful.

1. WiFi coverage in rooms is non- existent 2. No GPO next to beds 3. All the towels provided in the room were old as the texture of the towels became so rough as well as the face towel provided contained a hole.

The welcoming arrival, the homelike atmosphere and the care of the staff that helped us prepare a birthday gift for another friend by providing a candle and lighter. Thank you very much for your kindness. We were feeling part of their family after just one day being in a beautiful and well cared-for environment. Good energies...

The early check out, but we understand that it takes time to clean up and prepare the spaces for the next guests. The long wait for cocktails but that was because I was thristy and we had to leave to a birthday but all well, so we didn't dislike anything 😊

You might think that given a 10/10 in every single punctuation is a bit too much, but We would put even a 1000 if possible. The place itself is fantastic and we do not need to elaborate a long dissertation about it. However what needs and deserves a massive attention is Kim, the owner. The hospitality of Kim and his wife is beyond excellent. Anything we have asked -and trust me, we have been a bit demanding- they did not hesitate to try to make it happen… exceeding! They have gone above and beyond to satisfy our needs -pick up Tuk Tuk, motorbike rental, private taxi driver to next destination, for mentioning some- and they even manage to help us with some travel inconvenience once we were not in Battambang.
