Koulen Hotel

Kind and helpful people, great service! Location is a great and safe area, I walked to Pub Street and it was manageable. Very close to the Siem Reap airport, the pick service was one important reason for me (worry free). They also arranged my airport drop off (so convenient). Super clean and very spacious room (high ceiling). Breakfast is great as well as the food in the hotel restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel. As a first timer to the country, I was so relieved I picked this hotel.

All the staff are all very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good with variety of food including eggs your way and fresh noodles. Hotel is well maintained, their gardens are beautiful and are looked after everyday, pool was really nice with max height 1.5m. Bed is comfortable, they had different pillows if you ask, AC in the room worked well. We were very happy with this hotel and their service, good range of brochures for activities/tours available in the lobby. The hotel tuk tuk driver Thong is very gentle and kind. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, only 10 minutes walk to pub street.

We took a 3-bedroom suite because we had 6 people in our group, and it turned out to be the largest suite any of us have ever stayed in. There is a huge living room and kitchen area, and there are three bathrooms for the three bedrooms, and each room has a door that closes, so lots of privacy as well. The pool is really nice, and the happy hour deal at the pool is great, and some of the pool snacks even came with a free beer. The location cannot be beat either--literally across the street is a small mall with Starbucks, a grocery store, and two ice cream options for the kids (DQ and Swensen's). Plus you are downtown and walkable to lots of things, including Pub Street, though that is more like a 8-10 minute walk.

The breakfast was fine, as they had an omelet station and noodle soup station too, but the prepared food in the breakfast buffet (as well as the bread options) were just okay, not amazing. All in all a small issue and we would definitely stay here again, especially if we came with 5-6 people again.

We had an incredible stay at the Koulen Hotel! The staff, led by the exceptional General Manager Nita, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of my stay, from the immaculate room to the fabulous pool. The staff's dedication to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction truly stood out. I can't praise them enough for their excellent service and genuine care. My time at the Koulen Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to Nita and her amazing team!

The ‘double’ luxury suite was strange as there was another locked bedroom and far too much space for a couple.

Great location, pool, room and bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, breakfast, staff and tuk tuk service, A little out of the touristed part of town, but a short tuk tuk ride or walk away. The pool was huge and clean with nice chairs and bar and food facilities. The room was large with all the modern conveniences. We had a sitting area and a balcony and a kitchen and refrigerator. The breakfast buffet included a wide range of Western and Eastern foods. The staff was extremely kind, welcoming us home each day. Pai, at the front desk, really looked out for us. The hotel arranged a tuk tuk driver, Mr. Sen, for us for the four days that we were there. He was wonderful.

The friendly, attentive staff at Koulen hotel made for an incredible 4 night stay. The hotel was clean, inviting & luxurious with the largest interconnecting suite our family of four has ever stayed in! The lovely & knowledgeable staff were always available to answer our endless questions about which temple to visit etc and seamlessly arranged tuk tuk drivers for us. Thank you particularly to friendly June & excellent Lin, with her beautiful, fluent English - we really appreciated it. We visited in the height of summer so we took tuk tuks everywhere! Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom were amazing. We thoroughly recommend the sunrise visit if only for the few tourists. We also visited two fabulous outer temples at the last minute Banteay Srei & Beng Malay - but beware, you really need at least 6 or 7 hours as they are kilometres away on slow going roads. Take a car or van NOT a tuk tuk. We went by car but still had to rush it all in 5 hours. It was so worth it though & also to see the countryside & ordinary Cambodian villages. Opposite the hotel is a small handy shopping centre with Starbucks, pizza, Japanese food, Cafe Amazon for quick food in aircon. For minimart supplies, walk two blocks to Lucky Mall. We visited in the peak of summer so the freezing air con at Koulen made for a great place to retreat to each afternoon & the glorious pool !The breakfast buffet was fresh, varied & delicious and was staffed with lovely friendly wait staff - thank you! Thanks also to the excellent & meticulous groundskeepers (the gardens are gorgeous) & the housekeeping staff for ensuring such clean & comfortable surroundings. Five stars all round!!

Everything was well thought out & comfortable.

This is my second visit to Koulen Hotel, and once again, I was not disappointed. The hotel's prime location in the city center, close to Pub Street, is a plus. The suite was spacious, clean, and exceptionally comfortable. The friendly staff always greeted us warmly and offered their assistance whenever needed. The gym was satisfactory, the pool was nice and the breakfast provided was good. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

We booked a suite that could comfortably accommodate 4 or 5 persons, even though we were only a group of 3. Surprisingly, the hotel staff informed us that the suite was intended for 2 only, and they charged us an additional $15 per night, even though we didn't request an additional bed.

Staff is absolutely fantastic and they try so hard to make you welcome and happy. Typical of Khmer people, they are always happy to assist you and to smile. The room was good but it was noisy as it faced the road. The hotel has a nice pool and is located in a good area.

The breakfast is ok if you stay one day but it is very limited and never changes. I requested a quiet room but it was on the first floor facing the road so it was very noisy. Although the hotel was really good, the noise would prevent me from going back again especially since I specifically requested a quiet room.

Pool is good size with friendly pool bar staff offering happy hours from 2-6pm, which is great! Room is spacious, big fridge in kitchen and bar fridges in each bedroom and kitchen facilities if simple cooking is desired. Location is perfect, right next to Heritage Walk Shopping Mall, Angkor Shopping Centre, walking distance to Pub Street. Super convenient! The gym is of good size and equipped with adequate machines and weights. The staff are all friendly, helpful and very approachable.

It is a value for money hotel choice. Hence, not much else to suggest for improvement. Overall, well done to the hotel and staff! A very enjoyable stay for our family, and may consider long stay should we be back in Siem Reap again. And definitely will recommend to friends and family.

This hotel has it all. Our room was a stunning 850 sq/ft with a kitchen, living room, and 2 bedrooms! The property is beautiful, spotlessly clean, well maintained, and perfectly located. The pool area is lovely. But the most wonderful part of staying here is the exceptional staff. They are gracious, impeccably-trained, professionals that go out of their way to elevate your stay in every way. Our room had a special honeymoon surprise for us. And the farewell they gave us nearly brought me to tears. We would like to express a special thanks to Pai, who made many arrangements for us and was extra helpful time and again. Breakfasts are impressive. Air-con is great. Wi-fi is good.
