Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre

I liked everything that had to do with the hotel proper, namely thet they had a ladies only floor with its lounge and gym. It made me feel safe and protected. Staff was very friendly and helpful in any way. I would chose this hotel any time again.

The second night, (Saturday to Sunday), a very loud group of people came to the hotel at 1 pm, laughing (ok), screaming and yelling (not ok) and obviously continuing the party in one of the group member's room (not ok). This lasted for about an hour until they were silenced - too long for my likes, but maybe nobody complained right away. I didn't, because it was not on my floor. It was very uncomfortable.

We are a family of 4 (with two adult sons) who needed to stay overnight in Grande Prairie on our leisure trip from Edmonton to northern BC. We had a mishap on the road, which caused us to arrive very late (3:30am). We called the hotel staff and they readily accommodated our special needs, confirmed the reservation, and allowed us to stay an extra hour past the check-out time in the morning to catch up on sleep. The two rooms (King suite and 2 Queen beds) were next to each other, very spacious, comfortable and clean. We had a very good sleep and were refreshed and ready to continue our trip in the morning. The hotel was conveniently located close to our route and had ample free parking.

The only thing that annoyed us was the excessive number of e-mails that the hotel sends with and without reason. For the one-night stay, we got about a dozen. When we needed to reconfirm our reservation because of the late arrival, they sent us 6 e-mails about this trivial function. But that's nothing. Everything was great.

Staff were friendly and professional, no issues with check-in. Beds were comfortable, there's a microwave and mini fridge in each room, but they are in a cabinet so you don't have to look at them. The breakfast is so good, they have everything, including pastries baked on site. We ate at the restaurant for dinner the night before and that was excellent as well.

I Was Very Pleased With My Stay At The Pomeroy. I Had Never Stayed There Before But Definitely Will Again. I Had A Room With A King Sized Bed And It Was Lovely. I Stayed On The Women's Only Floor And It Was Great. I Am A Single Traveler And Have Never Stayed On A Women's Only Floor Before. I Can Definitely Understand The Feeling Of Safety During My Stay! Will Definitely Recommend!

Continental breakfast was fantastic. The room was clean and fresh looking. The bed was massive and comfy and the tub was even good. The ability to use the pool was really nice as well as I haven't been able to go swimming like that for years.

I have no real complaints. The only thing I would say is that if you are going to allow access to the pool maybe provide cheap flip flops or something so people don't have to drag their heavy footwear into the pool area.

I had visitors to the room and we were very comfortable and used the large refrigerator and the great coffee maker. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The service was excellent and very friendly....we had a 4 year old with us that loved the friendly way he was treated and entertained.

Great service, fantastic restaurant. Comfortable room. This was our second time at this hotel and will definitely keep coming back.

the Pool and hot tub we’re a little dirty on the bottom, the sauna floor was dirty-bring shower shoes. the bed was springy. the tv doesn’t have a ton of channels-bring your iPad!

Really good hot breakfasts included every day. Many buffet choices such as pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee tea and juices. Staff were all wonderful, cheerful and very helpful with all requests.

note: the hotel is under renovations (exterior) but this did not affect us in any way

Great staff, checked in with us 5 minutes after getting to room. Clean room, well appointed with nice kitchenette. Decent keurig coffee maker vs usual drip coffee maker. Near a mall, so could pick up items forgotten. Gave us $25 voucher good for lounge. Enjoyed beverages before meeting family for dinner.

Bed was too close to wall. Had to crawl in and out of end of bed

Clean and updated inside. The breakfast was great. The shower pressure and water temperature was great and hot. I would stay again and overall was satisfied.

The outside lighting was very poor. The pillows were all too firm and puffy. I did request a fan for use but did not receive it. The fridge did not get cold.
