Hampton Inn & Suites Saint John

Lovely little pool, fantastic water slide for those brave enough, and a lovely view of Saint John. Close to shops and restaurants, but perched upon the hill so there isn't imposition from the surrounding businesses with sounds etc. Dogs are welcome and they even give you a little card for the door that tells the staff that dogs are present.

The hot-tub/whirlpool was not working which was disappointing, and the pool is a bit small, especially when the water slide is running as it displaces significant space in the "deep end." Otherwise the room was fantastic and comfortable and the deep tub made up for the lack of hot-tub!

First off when I checked in the lady at the desk was great. I believe her name was Jaycee. Sorry if it's spelt wrong. She was so friendly and had let us know about the facilities in the building along with different areas of NB. We were on a road trip from ON and she recommended some nice places to visit. Her Co worker, I didn't catch his name, was great as well. Anytime we needed help with something he got on it right away. The kids loved the water slide. Probably their favourite pool out of all the ones we went to that week. The rooms were nice and big. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was great. Hopefully get to visit again next summer.

The staff was amazing, I felt they went above and beyond, I have never had that sort of interaction with any other hotel staff at any other hotel, ever, the young lady that took my info and gave me my keys was spectacular, her personality was amazing and then I got a text from her and then another staff member asking about my stay and checking to see if we needed anything, wow, I have never had a hotel check with me before. It was my first time staying there but it won't be my last, breakfast was very good and the staff there were also very polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean and family friendly. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff you have at this location. I was charged $25 tho yesterday and I am not sure what that is for, the young lady may have mentioned it but I don't recall. Nothing I didn't like.

We liked everything except the pillows, too thin, gave me a headache, and the toilet ran the whole time we were there, the employees were the best that I ever encountered, they were very polite and helpful, I have stayed at a lot of motels and they were the best, very helpful. Unfortunately the air conditioner was noisy, but that probably is the same in every room. The breakfast was great as well, no complaints about the food or employees.

I booked my east coast road trip in Feb. and thought it was odd that the Hampton Suites in St John was the only one asking for full payment in advance. When I got there I was told that my prepayment was not in their records so I've now been double billed. Unfortunately I will not be back from my road trip for another month to request my first quarter credit card history. Until then I can't be sure who's at fault here so I'm not going to dwell on it.

Check in was easy and the staff extra friendly and informative, were able to make recommendations about places for dinner and the area. The room was very nice, new and clean and beds super comfy. The location was very convenient in a shopping area with bank for money exchange and easy to access, and plenty of room for parking.

There was nothing that I didn’t like, very lovely stay.

Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet area was kept very clean.

The only thing that could of made my stay better is if there was some information in the room as to local eating establishments and attractions .Staff were very friendly. Food was great. Pool was refreshing. I was always able to find a parking spot.

It's the Hampton inn, what's not to like ... Clean, quiet, great staff, awesome pool with waterslide and hot tub, fantastic breakfast, swipe and go card locks on everything which is the best!! Pictures are exactly what you get.

Although the pillows were super soft, the beds were only slightly soft. The ice machine on my floor was not working. They put too much chlorine in the pool and hot tub, but were actually trying to correct that, they had staff working on it which we actually saw.

The man working reception was not friendly at all, would take phone calls mid conversation and couldn’t even work a debit machine. 15 minutes for him to end up calling his boss and her saying just push sale and type it into the debit machine. Please find someone who’s more kinder and knowledgeable working day shift especially with so many kids & events happening

Breakfast was good, Front desk was very good. Friendly and helpful.

I made very little use of the facilities. The breakfast was good. Covid changes alot. My room was a King Size Bachelor Suite. No glasses were in the room. Staff helped by going into the breakfast room and letting me get some paper cups. If there were empty rooms why were the glassware not brought from those rooms. Front staff were very helpful and friendly and endeavoured to meet my needs. Rooms were not clean because of COVID I understand but for the price I got a clean room to sleep in.
