Port View Hotel

The staff makes ALL the difference to other hotels.Costumer service and genuine hospitality was top priority.The staff at reception were simply FANTASTIC. It was very busy when I checked and the male young receptionist kept his cool, was incredibly polite and on top arranged a bicycle for me. Incredible. Problems wth the TV were sorted immediately. Breakfast was varied and quite good. Housecleaning on a daily basis. Top location and opposite super market. I would always come back. Highly recommended.

Carpet in rooms was a bit odd. Wifi was terrible in my room, very bad reception. (2nd floor). This should be improved.

The hotel is in front of a supermarket that made our life easy. It gave us free vouchers to enter a nearby beach. The breakfast was OK. The Internet was OK. Some staff were friendly..

The sheets that had stains. The broken window locks. Not cleaning the room everyday, nor vacuuming. The cleaners not washing their hands after changing the garbage and handling the towels and cups. But the cleaners were kind and overworked. They were limited in number and had to do the whole hotel.

This is a comfortable hotel, with very friendly and efficient staff. The room was very large and very clean. The location needs a short car journey into the old town but the hotel provides good breakfast as included in the price and a good choice of evening meal at extra cost if you dont want to leave the hotel.

We did enquire about the spa massage but didn't actually get any further information but ad we were only staying 2 nights dudnt really have enough time. Obviously the spa was not staffed all the time

This hotel is amazing. Located right out the old city that can be reached on foot. We just got out of the bus from North Nicosia and walked to the hotel. At arrival, we got a welcome juice which was super appreciated given the strong summer sun. Moreover, we got a free room update. The room had a view on the old city and the port, was super clean and nice. Later on we went to the Spa and used the complimentary sauna and swimming pool. The following day we had a good breakfast, where one can take anything from a rich buffet. All in all for us this hotel was the best price quality deal of the entire Cyprus trip. We even considered prolonging the stay in Famagusta/Gazimagusa given the nice stay. So I strongly suggest it.

1. Highly trained, professional and very friendly hotel employees 2. Excellent location between the southern (old) and northern (new) areas of the city 3. Well-designed hotel, both externally and internally 4. Close to grocery stores, banks, telecom companies (local SIM for tourists) and restaurants 5. Fast internet 6. Safe deposit box large enough to hold any laptop 7. Delicious breakfast

Can't say anything negative, I had a perfect stay at the hotel and in Famagusta

Very nice receptionist. He let us check in early. Very cozy room. Fruit plate and cold drink offered. Very good Wi-Fi. Long breakfast hours and great choice. Nice cafes and restaurants close by.

Slight sewage smell in the bathroom. Bearable because the window opens widely. “Elevator music “ forever during breakfast. We noticed that at night, when all the guests were gone and staff was cleaning up, they played beautiful Turkish music. Made me jealous.😉

The room was more spacious than I had expected, with kettle and a small fridge. There was also a sea view. Breakfasts were good with plenty of salad-type food and a variety of bread and cheeses etc. The supermarket being so close was an advantage.

The indoor pool was very cold and the sauna was not always heated. The hotel was off season and so the fact there is only one lift didn't matter but at busier times this might be a problem.

Very friendly staff, English speakers. Flexible booking / cancellation policy (for objective reasons, I had to cancel and change my booking one day before the due time). Large and clean room, breakfast better than in more expensive hotels. Overall, one of the best value for money (hotels within and even above the same price range).

Minor things - mainly small wear an tear issues.

i liked the hotel, the location etc. i dont like how it ended up - with hotel providing dis-honest statements about me. beware of this property and their policies

I checked out from your hotel due to family emergency after only 3 nights out of original 6 booked. Getting a refund / respond from the property was not easy

Excellent breakfast. Indoor swimming pool & massage. Friendly, helpful staff.

The only thing I can think of is that they could get a better brand of coffee.
