Hotel St. Barbara

Very nice and cosy place to stay in Tallin. The hotel is near the Old Town, you can reach it within few minutes. Very tasty breakfast. The stuff is helpful, we didn’t have any problems during our stay. The design of the building and restaurant is very interesting - a little bit of both modern and traditional.

Some parts of the room were quite old, especially in the bathroom. I think it could be refreshed in the near future.

The room and bed are comfortable although a bit smaller than expected. Staff is very polite and helpful especially when I needed some extra help and had to visit a hospital. The breakfast is tasty and the variety is just enough to cover different options. Overall recommended.

The wardrobe is small if you a here for a long trip and the luggage board is between two walls and didn't fit my normal size luggage.

Everything! The room was big, the bed nearly 2 metres wide and very comfortable. Bigger pillows wouldn't go amiss, but that's just my large head's personal preference. Great bathroom, too, and a massive window is a plus, for it gives LOTS of light. The hotel offers free secure parking right behind the building. There is plenty of space, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Special thanks to Ms Nadia in the dining area. The happiest, sunniest hotel staff I've ever encountered, somehow able to tend to the needs of a dozen guests at the same time, and all without any apparent rush. Jedi performance.

Old hospital & beautifully upgraded into hotel. Fantastic location. Good breakfast

We did ask to go for breakfast early on the Sunday due to a trip. They offered us packed breakfast which we didn’t want & therefore agreed earliest time we could go down was 07:45……….only to find a group of people had been allowed to go down a lot earlier!!! and were finishing their breakfast by 07:45. Then we were questioned if we were part of the group before we were allowed in, even though it was pre arranged with the receptionist & double checked the previous night!!

Extremely helpful staff. Large room with 4 windows that let in loads of light. Beautiful bathroom with heated floor(!), and instant hot water. Room cleaned daily. Coffee machine, electric kettle for supplied tea bags and small fridge ( that was silent). Comfortable bed and also a sofa. Breakfast was included and was outstanding with huge choice including hams, cheeses, juices, yogurt, etc. Elevator to all floors.

Could not fault this hotel in any way.

- Location was central, Old Town's reachable on foot alongside the more known viewing platforms. You can get back to the hotel easily on foot despite staying out 'til 2 AM. Unlike staying in the middle of Old Town though, this location is much friendlier to someone carrying huge suitcases since they have proper sidewalks here and not just cobblestones. It's quite close to public transport. - Breakfast was quite nice, it changes a little bit but only a little bit. - Staff was excellent. - Bathroom has heated floors. - Amazing for solo suitcase travelers, but you might not have enough space for your suitcases if you arrive with somebody. Like most hotels, they do not have extra large luggage racks and only have the small ones for cabin luggage.

- Doesn't matter since I came in late November, but the rooms do not have airconditioning, so maybe it's hot in the summers. - No fridge in my room for some reason. No complimentary bottle of water too. The staff will gladly refill your bottle during breakfast though. - Reception doesn't seem to be open 24/7, so this might not be the hotel for you if you'll arrive past 11 PM. I do know the keycard has to be used to enter the hotel at this hour. - Keycard is needed to use the elevator. It's a bit troublesome, but it's likely for security purposes. - There seems to be a nice resto in the hotel. It's the same place where they serve breakfast. They haven't reopened yet cuz of pandemic losses.

Great location, just a few minutes walk from the old town and a 10 minute ride from the airport. Quiet location and friendly staff. breakfast buffet was plentiful with the veggie choice better than other places we stayed at in Estonia. Excellent value for money. Well recommended

Bar and restaurant downstairs hasn't reopened since Covid

Really happy with everything here, only stayed for two nights, but the room was clean, shower was great, breakfast was good. As a fussy, British traveller when it comes to food, there was still plenty of option for me. Didn't interact with the staff all that much but when I did they were happy and helpful, the location was great also - right next to the underpass and then 5 minutes in a straight line to the heart of Tallinn. Having travelled around Europe quite a bit and always been happy to book budget hotels and not be too worried about their condition, I have to say this has been probably the best one I've stayed in.

Nothing, everything was great

Location is great there; tucked in a side street right next to the Freedom Square. All Old City locations are right next door, as well as Solaris mall with Lido restaurant. Our room ("junior suite") was big enough and still quite in budget. Essentially there's a bedroom and a cabinet/child sofa area with a big TV and a table. Nights were quiet. Breakfast is not as big as in luxury-level hotels (no smoked salmon...) but still has many choices and quite filling.

Our double bed was comfortable; maybe too soft - I sleep better on harder mattresses. However, sofa bed in the other room, where our son slept, was definitely too hard.

Great location,. Quiet room. Very comfortable bed. Well placed plugs near a full length mirror. Underfloor heating in bathroom with a shower that had good power. Receptionist waited a bit after closing for us to arrive after our flight, very kind. Good breakfast.

We had booked a deluxe room, although happy with our room I think we just got a standard one. Disappointed that the bar and restaurant weren't open in the evenings as it is in a lovely space. Housekeeping could have been a little better. Room was clean but empty glasses were left behind when cleaning and there was hair in the shower plughole from previous occupants.
