Three Crowns Residents

Location and atmosphere of the hotel were great. Vibe of old times was charming and pleasent. Our room in 5th floor was charming amd way up there fun.

Breakfest was good otherwise. Just couple things missing. Basic water along citruswater and refeshing Juice ,for example Orange juice, along that sweet Red juice. At bathroom toilet was left flushing and kept really loud noise at night time.

Got much smaller and cheaper room first but easily and successfully managed to change to the room I actually booked and was happy with that! Asked for an iron in the evening. the receptionist had no access to it because only housekeeper has the keys.. main entrance is closed during the night, but the digital lock is pretty annoying. the device gets messed up really easily and you have to wait until it recovers to be able to try again. took me at least half an hour to get inside..

The location was amazing, right in the heart of old downtown. Everything was walkable within a few minutes. The room was pretty small, but big enough for just the evenings. The breakfast was good, enough options.

The fridge in the room makes so much noise. Some rooms (ours as well) are only accesible from the outside. And in the inner courtyard there were always groups of Polish men (i guess there for work?) smoking and hanging out, that was less nice to always have to walk through. The cleaning pretty much only changed the towels, never made up the bed or cleaned other things.

Location is perfect, in the very center of the old town. Please take into account that taxi is not allowed to come up to the entrance and one has to walk a bit. Bed is comfortable, bed sheets were new and tidy. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, cause the price is really low, but variety was quite good: omelette, sausages, porridge, cereal, vegetables and fruits, cottage cheese, ham, cheese, etc. Personnel is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located in several buildings, so if you're not in the main building, you'll have to get dressed to go to have breakfast, what is a bit disturbing during cold period of the year. There is no children potty. The hotel doesn't really suit for people with small kids.

I bought some cheese and left it in the fridge in the morning. When I came back at the end of the day, it wasn't there anymore.

I was nervous about my stay here after reading a few of the recent reviews. I was happily surprised that we could drop our backpacks off in baggage room before checkin to allow exploring to start straight away. The location could not be more perfect ... right in the heart of Old Town. We had room 201 which was nice and spacious, not too hot and the beds were comfy. I enjoyed sitting on the window shelf area and look out onto the street and see the world go by.

The shower on each night took a little while for the drainage to start; but it did start prior to flooding the bathroom so no biggie. The breakfast is basic and probably very traditional - the choices weren't for me, however for the price of our room a second breakfast a little later in the morning was appropriate.

Excellent Location and accessibility. For Uber / Bolt use Vene 20 as the pickup or drop off point. It is just 2 mins walk from the hotel. At night, the area is safe so nothing to worry. Even from Balti Jaam stop (bus 2), the hotel is a simple 10 mins walk. No need to take taxi unless with lots of luggage or kids.

No lift and very mediocre breakfast. Breakfast didn't matter much to me since I leave early mornings. For people with difficulty to climb stairs, please request lower floors. My room was on the 6th floor and it was a tough climb especially after partying. But didn't matter much to me and no complaints here since I asked for the top floor. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The location is superb, in the heart of the old town and only a 2 minutes walk away from the square where the Christmas Market is held. We were treaded as good as possible right from the moment we arrived and received good advices on where to go. We would happily return to this hotel. We loved the breakfast too !

The historic building is wonderful but the lack of elevator and steep stairs might be an issue for older guests.

The hotel interior looks very historical and romantic. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with hot soup and other hot dishes. We have received a double room with a common terrace that was perfect, but there are many other rooms without windows. Take care when you create your booking.

Before my arrival, I received a message that the reception desk was closed in the Three Crown Residents and I needed to go directly to the St. Olavs hotel. Here the receptionist told me to go back to Three Crown Residents. So, I spent more than 30 minutes in the evening on this miscommunication. The shower sink smelled in the room.

Excellent location.Excellent restoration of an old building in the old town.The hotel is kept very clean at all times. My room was on the top floor, which implied some workout every time but after a few climbs it was not an issue any longer.Understand that there is no elevator and there are 6 floors and a basement. The receptionists have always been very helpful. All rooms have carpeted floors, usually in good condition. There is a fridge in every room, and every bathroom is complete with toilet, washbasin and shower. On the top floors you will find quaint rooms with skylights and excellent views on the city of Tallinn.

The breakfast could be improved in terms of quality, not quantity. Some days it was a bit too hot, reaching 26C. Maybe a larger table to sit and work at the computer would be appreciated. I accepted the lack of an elevator but it could be an issue to other guests. It is so popular that sometimes you will find long queues at the reception. All minor issues, considering value and attentiveness of the staff.
