Clarion Hotel Helsinki

Excellent buffet breakfast with a wide range of choices, including gluten free options. The Sky Bar was a lovely place to relax in the evening and enjoy the views. The tram stop for the city centre is right outside the hotel. All staff were welcoming and helpful.

The pillows in the room were oddly shaped (large and square) and not comfortable. A shame as the bed itself was comfortable but because of the pillows we were experiencing back ache. The pool at the top of the hotel would have been more relaxing if there were cushions on the loungers. It would have been nice if the lounge cafe/bar on the ground floor was open for longer hours during the day.

Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was great with a big choice. Only the coffee could have been better but this a minor aspect. Very convenient location in walking distance when one arrives or departs from the Tallink ferry terminal.

The swimming pool on the 16th floor was a big disappointment. It was windy and very cold in the room where the swimming pool is situated and it is not pleasant or inviting to hang out and relax there. There was trash in the area around the pool (e g. by the window). I agreed that my room wad only cleaned once during my three night stay. It was surprising and disappointing that the floor was not cleaned and that new tea bags were not provided on the day were I asked for the room to be cleaned.

big room with 3 huge windows from floor to ceiling wit amazing view (i took the more expensive room). the gym was relatively big for an hotel gym and with amazing 16th floor view its 20 min walking distance to the centre- but their are a few nice restaurant's, cafes and a supermarket just under the hotel. nice Bar with a spectacular view on the roof/ wonderful breakfast/ i felt like I could spent the whole day in the hotel

not enough people at the reception- some time I saw people wait 20-30 min just to check in what about the hours of the restaurant.? if you tell me its open until 10:00. I think I can get in until 10:00, but in reality they take all the food away 15 min before the hour of closure, so by 10:00; the closing time they actually are closing the restaurant. and i noticed many people was confused by this as well since not only they dont mention it at the check in- but i asked specifically and I was told that I can get in up to closing time "get in- but no food" they should have added

Superb breakfast with variety of options. Rooftop pool with sauna and bar are the highlights of this hotel. If you want a romantic getaway make sure to book Seaview room.

During booking we asked for a room with seaside view with a double bed in higher floors (seemed like we had an agreement during booking as it was mentioned that they will do their best to provide one (also based on pictures from booking.com site) . However at check-in the staff told us that we need to pay extra fee if we want the room with seaside view or a room in higher floor (no room with double bed were available). It seems that they prioritize the guests who did the hotel booking through their own site than booking.com (staff at our reception counter mentioned that). At the end we got a room on lower floor with twin bed attached together a big bed sheet was used as a illusion to create a double bed.

Great location, great view from the room, sky lounge at 16 floor. An excellent GYM with a glass infinity pool on 16 floors (towels provided at the pool). Sauna on 16 floor (separate for man/women). Room size is just the right size with the fridge inside. By the way, street parking nearby is free from 9 PM to 9AM. Other wise, it's 4 hour free with blue round thing they have as local parking meter time. Hotel does offer parking (think it's either $15 or $24 for the night) but it a bit far and if you have luggage, don't think you can walk easily because you will have to cross 2 main roads and a team line and it could be very cold otherwise, hotel is awesome and. Perfect location with view of Talinn Ferry from the room. Don't miss the pool and sauna. It's perfect Also, it's on Tram 7 route till downtown, so you don't need a car and enjoy easy connectivity from downtown or airport.

Unfortunately, my room didn't have a bathrob. So, I had to make some extra arrangements coming back from Sauna. But bigger concern is the parking space. Suggestions to hotel staff: Please mark 2 or 3 parking areas just for short term check in purpose.

the hotel is stunning! from the lobby to the room its self everything was classy (so classy i felt out of place haha), breakfast was in the hotels restaurant so everything looked great and tasted just as good! the room its self was very spacious and well equip to cover any boredom i may have had. the sky bar looked amazing with equally amazing sights. so i was very happy to stay alone while being on a long flight delay due to UK weather

when booking in a hurry I didn't realise the hotel is situated some way from central so out of walking distance but short tram journey (10-15 min to kamppi shopping centre) and there isn't a whole lot to do around the hotel its self from what i could see which isn't the hotels fault

Staff are extremely helpful. Shout out to Simeon and Heidi at the reception and the kitchen staff from Philippines who only does weekends ( she is very friendly). The sea view while you eat and at the reception view is superb. Pool and sauna is a plus!

Breakfast has loads of options but on my last day they close very early without informing the hotel guests so people were rushing to eat including me, domestics were vacuuming the dining area whilst guest were still eating. I find this rude.

Breakfast was very good and offered many veggie options. Despite some mix-up, the room was big enough and quiet so we had good rest after a long day. The view from the room was quite nice, although we expected bigger window... The location was also very convenient - it is right next to tram station. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We were offered an "upgrade" upon arrival for a discount (paying 40 EUR instead of 60 EUR for 2 nights). Unfortunately, it was not worth it and we think the way the concierge tried selling this to us may have overstretched the value of this deal. In the first room we checked in, trash was already in the bin (some med tablets) and dirty footsteps were next to the bed. Obviously, someone was not cleaning this "premium" room, or it was already used right before us. We requested to switch the room immediately - which went okay and quickly enough. Nonetheless, we were very annoyed by this because we checked in late at night (midnight) and we even paid for the room up front (plus an upgrade!).

Very comfortable and clean room with a mini fridge. Great facilities, everything as advertised in the pics and the description in booking. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in Europe. Ferry terminal was 15 min walking (average pace with a stroller). Very nice design in the whole building and room.

It’s little far for walking to the tourist points, specially with a toddler, but the tram stops in front of the hotel. The bar at the top is nice but it’s not very big, so the seats with the nice view get filled very fast.

This is our 2nd time at this hotel which is on the waterfront at the West Harbour. There is a view from the rooms which is lovely. However the view from the 16th level is amazing - in particular having that view from within the pool and sauna. The included breakfast is great. There are plenty of taxis, and public transport is closeby, convenient and easy to use. The building is tall and distinctive, which makes it easy to orientate yourself when walking and travelling around the city.
