Kyriad Caen Nord - Hérouville-Saint-Clair

It was located in a perfect location for my trip towards Le Havre, this was a stop over for us. It is located closed to a super market and 10min drive to the city centre. very calm and nice location. Perfect for a couple. The staffs are very friendly. Free Parking and Clean Rooms

Pillows - I am not sure of the pillow choices as I noted most of the French hotels are with tiny pillows which made it sightly uncomfortable but then its a value for money hotel compared to other hotels around this location. I would recommend a standard size pillows. The breakfast is quite standard.

We used this property as we were arriving on the late Brittany Ferries boat from Portsmouth and it was only a few minutes’ drive away. The ferry was delayed and when I spoke to the receptionist he helpfully explained the procedure for accessing the room if we arrived after 11pm. This was the ideal room for an overnight stay before we headed off to our holiday destination. Clean, really comfortable bed and great breakfast at a good price. Very happy.

We have visited this hotel several times before under its previous name, the Campanile & wondered what changes there might be in store. However our stay was as anticipated & we had no serious issues. All in all, for one night, it was a pleasant stay.

My husband found the bed to be a little uncomfortable & both of us agreed the pillows could have been better quality.

Convenient location for ferry. Plenty of parking. Room clean well equipped and comfortable

Receptionist lacked any interpersonal skills. Made it clear we were interrupting his watching of a televised rugby match. The days of garlic shrugs and grunts should be long gone in what is an hospitality industry.

Lovely motel style hotel. Rooms were clean & beds were comfortable. Very quiet area. They even allowed us to cancel one of our rooms when we got there as one of the guys couldn't make it. & the staff were excellent couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely stay here again.

Not much we didn't like about this hotel. Apart from not a lot around restaurants for to eat. But the hotel organised a taxi for us into town.

I had travelled from Portugal to Caen to catch the ferry to England. In morning I realised I had left in Portugal some of the documents I needed to board the ferry . I was very stressed about this but Amelie was a life saver. Amelie was working in the hotel reception and very patiently managed to locate the emails and print off the documents for me. I know this sounds straight forward but for whatever reason ( possibly junk filters etc) it took a while. So a big thank you to Amelie for outstanding customer service at 6:40 am. I was the last passenger on the ferry! Thank you.

Nothing! It was good value for money

This was the second time we have stayed at the Kyriad for an overnight stopover. It is inexpensive and only fifteen minutes from the ferry port. The rooms are comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. In my opinion the Kyriad is the ideal stopover place.

It had a restaurant & was within walking distance to shopping centre!

room very comfortable and exceptionally clean. choice at breakfast was amazing. Great value. Staff were very helpful.

Our only niggle was the limited choice on the evening meal menu. but what we did eat was really good.

Breakfast very good, room fine for our needs, bed very comfy.

Can't say I didn't like it but a bit more choice of a main meal in the evening.
