Novotel Lens Noyelles

Room size great, comfortable bed and clean, some staff excellent.

Tv didn’t work but staff fixed it. He was lovely and helpful. First night we got there we were told they had over booked. We could have the room but would need to take luggage away and come back and have a different room next day. So we did this and spoke to staff who said no that’s not correct you can stay in room and you didn’t need to move luggage. I would of preferred not to drag luggage around for our first days break. It seemed next lot of staff on were brilliant and understood English better. I am not complaining about language barrier as we also should know more words but I wondered if the young man on reception as he didn’t know English he may of got confused.

Breakfast was excellent. massive choice and very good quality products. Very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Lovely terrace. Good very reasonable priced restaurant and very nice staff. We traveled with our dog good hotel for her too. Only about an hour away from the Euro shuttle link so very practical stop on the way back to the UK.

The rooms comfy and very clean, great for a family of four people, would highly recommend for children, the pool was a bit cold but the weather wasn’t very nice, so children didn’t go in. Breakfast had plenty of variety and the evening food was good too.

Chips weren’t that nice on the meals.

This is the thrid time we stay. Twice in winter before. This time we could have dinner in the terrasse and breakfast as well. Menu was excellent and great or the best macarron ever! It seemed made to order at the kitchen.

Even though the loction is not great, they have managed to create a soace where once you are in you forget you are in a shopping center.

Staff brilliant, shower was good, food was great. Didn’t use the outside pool as tired from travelling but looked popular

Our room had a smell of cigarette smoke (we got used to it but it was evident whenever we returned to the room) but we managed for the 1 night

+ very close to the shopping mall + very good breakfast + spacious room + big and secure parking

- no minibar service - no access to the pool or external bar because of the season - no courtesy products in the bathroom - no tub (walk-in shower only)

Room was conformable and check in was smooth

Breakfast could have been better. We came down at around 7am and the eggs bain marie was not on neither the hot plates so we decided not to wait and had continental instead

My original choice of room 135 (agreed in 4 weeks in advance was not available.The hotel was very noisy late at night.Midnight) The location is excellent for motorway connections. The bed was very comfortable.

The noise.

I have stayed here several times. It is a little difficult to find and the GPS requests U turns where they are not allowed..! However, it is a qood quality, friendly hotel with very smart and fresh rooms. A good place to stop relative to Eurotunnel and the major roads across France. Anyway for would be travellers, head for the "Centre Commercial" to find this nice hotel.

Excellent location for what we needed, super friendly staff, comfortable and well-appointed room, and a superb breakfast that kept getting replenished until it officially finished. Pool was lovely too. Can’t fault anything and would highly recommend.
