King A

The staff were amazing! Especially Mella and Chester on the front desk! The two males who were often on the front desk were great with us, they were so welcoming and kind. They gave us lots of recommendations of places to visit and the best ways to get there. I will miss Mella the dog she was very helpful too! The room was very tastefully decorated, the beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean. All amenities in the room were great and we had a nice view of the harbour from our balcony. Hotel was a short walk away from the square which was handy! Great stay.

The shower head attachment was a bit low down - not sure if this is a Greek thing as our hotel in Chania was the same. other than that everything was great.

This is our third visit to the King A. It is in an excellent location to everything, parking is no problem and the rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable. Our room had a balcony which was great. The breakfast was fresh, plentiful and served on the veranda. Above all we enjoy the service and hospitality at the King A - it is family run hotel and Katia is welcoming and extremely helpful and accommodating. I left my handbag in the bedroom cupboard and she called me immediately which was much appreciated. We have recommended the King A to our friends and family and we will be back in the near future. What a great stay at Katia's place! We had the 2nd floor sea view rooms which were great. Very modern. Katia, her family members and the staff are all so friendly. Katia and her family have been able to use their very interesting life experiences to create a great place to stay for tourists in Argostoli. Location is perfect for anything you might want to do in Argostoli i.e. grabbing dinner at the main square or catch a ferry to Lixouri. Communication was smooth.I bothered them so much with endless questions and yet I received all very helpful information. I will definitely stay here again when I am next in Argostoli!

An amazing hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable with great views. Excellent location with easy access to the ferry terminal so you can hop over to Lixouri. What made the trip though were the owners Katia and Albert. Amazing people. We went back to the hotel to collect a bottle of wine we left in the fridge and it turning into us sharing it with them, Albert cooked for us, shared his own wine and ended up catching the ferry with them to eat at Katia's cousins pizza restaurant. We'll be back to Kefalonia again for sure and when we do we'll be coming to King A!

Everything! The location and hospitality were fantastic. There's a cute dog and a cute cat that loves petting. Owners are hospitable and very helpful with car rentals and provided tips on what-to-do around town. Walking distance to local market and town square with lots of cafes and restaurants. Close enough to see the turtles coming up the harbour during late morning. Katia introduced us to take the ferry to Lixouri which we would not have found out online. Free parking right across the street. You definitely need a car to get the best of Kefalonia. The room and shower are very good. They upgraded our room too. This is the best place we've stayed throughout our 2-week trip all over Greece.

I wouldn't even know where to start. The hotel was splendid. The room was spacious and sparkling clean and it was serviced everyday. Breakfast was perfect and delicious and one thing that worth to be mentioned is that it was definitely helping the problem of wasted food from the hotels. The owners are amazing and I totally recommend to dedicate some time talking to them. Our vacation was definitely 10 times better because we found this accommodation.

We liked everything.

The breakfast was fantastic, all we could wish for included, yoghurt with honey, fruit, juice, bread, mini fetapies and omelette, all served at the table. Location is perfect at the harbour and close to restaurants and shopping. Our stay in Argostoli /King A was fantastic and a great memory, very much thanks to the owner family, Katia, Amalia, Albert and Agamemnon. They do everything to make you comfortable and always there to help, advise and recommend things to do and visit. This is the benefit of a small hotel, you can get a personal connection to the staff. Thank you for all your kindness and caring.

If we have to pick something, there could be more wardrobe space for clothes.

We stayed at this beautiful cozy hotel for 3 nights altogether. The check-in and check-out was very easy and uncomplicated. We booked a beautiful room with a balcony and a see view. The bed was exceptional - we haven't slept that well in any hotel! Everything was super clean and tidy. The breakfast surprised us, as there was everything you would wish for and it was very delicious! The owners Katia & Amalia (who meanwhile have become good friends of us) were so friendly and helpful, ask them anything and they will be ready to help you and have good tips for your stay in Kefalonia. The location is perfect - everything is very near and you have a great view on the harbor. Bars, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets are in 5-10 min walking distance (one of the best traditional Greek restaurant is just 20 meters away). The street is not crowded or loud, if you close the wooden shatters of the balcony you will have a quiet night sleep. A good bonus (not typical on an island) - you can drink the tap water here! We loved this beautiful place and will be definitely coming back!

This was an very cute and comfortable boutique hotel in a quiet but very convenient location right along the water. The rooms were tastefully decorated, the bed comfortable, and all the amenities provided were fantastic. The host/owner was amazingly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. She was readily available to help with any of our needs. We were so appreciative of her guidance and hospitality. King A truly felt like our home away from home, and we cannot wait to return.

The location of King is superb a 5/10 minute walk away from the harbour where you can see the turtles and a 10/15 minute walk away from the main square, we really loved the friendliness of King A where all the staff are lovely and couldn’t help you enough! The rooms are designed beautifully with very comfortable beds and a lovely balcony where you can see the harbour and mountains. Definitely recommend!!!!!
