Despotiko Hotel

This hotel is an abolute gem....on the outskirts of the town, easily walkable. This is an oasis of calm and beauty..... The staff were very friendly and helpful, booking cars for the airport!..... Breakfast was the best of our 9 day trip across the islands..... The pool and all amenities are first class.... An excellent hotel!....

Be careful on the roads....heading to and from town!.....

We've been here for a week and it was amazing. The hotel is 4 minutes walk from the Fabrika bus station where you can go to most beaches and where the mykonos town starts. The staff was nice and friendly, always helped with any questions or requests. The breakfast was no longer a buffet due to the pandemic and we were afraid we won't like what we get or it won't be enough but it was surprisingly tasty, a large variety of things and almost impossible to eat everything. Moreover, the last day when they brought us breakfast, we got extra cookies and a small gift. Simply amazing. Thank you Despotiko!

There wasn't anything wrong.

We stayed in the hotel for about 7 days ! The hotel is just perfect, right in the city even though there was written in the reviews its up to the hill but honestly 😁 its around the corner so no worries ! Its kind of gateawa from the city. The hotel is clean, Nice, cozy with Nice pool. The pool area was not crowded so even though the hotel has no gym you could have a Nice workout right in the Corner of the area. The staff was extremely Nice. The receptionist so helpful, the cleaning ladies the best with the mess What a girls trip can do ! Even though, the Young people were accomodate and We were afraid of noise, there was no noise at all. We made such a nice videos and pictures around as its nice Insta-friendly place. See you Despotiko next year !

The hotel was very close to the centre and also public parking place. The staff were really nice and changed our room which was noisy because of the main road. The room was clean. The pooling area was small but we always found free sun beds.

Breakfast was limited and even didn’t charge regularly. There was no coffee machines. The first room where we got was extremely noisy because of the main road, however the staff changed it when we made a request. The depth of pool was above 2m for the entire area.

- Beautiful hotel with stylish rooms and cute reception/breakfast area - Rooms are equipped with good quality materials/toiletries and everything you expect in a hotel such as an equipped minibar and a well functioning hair drier - Rooms are cleaned everyday and are very confortable and quite! We were welcomed with little chocolates and maybe we were lucky but also with a little mykonos souvenir :) - The pool is big and clean. The atmosphere is cozy, rustic, authentic, and welcoming. A bar with fair prices on drinks and food is available - Location only 3 minutes walk to the center and bus stop - The staff is extremely professional, respectful and warm. You can really feel they like their job and are always welcoming you with a smile - Huge thanks for quickly letting us know that we were mistakenly checking out a day earlier than planned (we were extremely tired and mixed up the dates)! If it wasn’t for the staff quick reaction and attention to their guests, we would had left to Naxos on the wrong date and ruined our day. But instead we had a laugh and enjoy the pool :)

We enjoyed everything

Located in the former villa of the local Orthodox bishop, right at the edge of the Old Town but away from its hustle and bustle, Despotiko Hotel combines the traditional Cycladic architecture with Old World elegance in the lobby and breakfast areas, as well as in the rooms, with Victorian tableware and furniture, marble floors and exposed oak beams on the ceiling. The room is nicely decorated, with comfortable twin beds, armchairs, gilded mirrors and even a sofa, while the bathroom is large enough and has a walk-in shower. The hotel also has a large pool with sunbeds and parasols in the middle of a quiet garden with sweeping views over Mykonos town. The breakfast - with a wide choice of both traditional Greek and continental options - is served in two elegant rooms next to the lobby, straight out of an aristocratic English cottage. This hotel is a surprising discovery, being so close to the centre of Mykonos town but so different from the usual overpriced hotels and B&Bs in the area. Highly recommended!

the property was really quaint. the mix of old and new really worked. our room was lovely and over looked the very pretty courtyard which was great place for a quiet night cap. Breakfast was good and the dining room was tastefully decorated. the prices were good also and staff were very obliging. Shout out to Cristos a great asset to have on the desk, a really nice guy and very helpful.

The hill. the hotel is situated on a steep hill just up from Fabrika bus station. it was difficult to climb and with no real footpaths and a lot of traffic it was a challenge to say the least but we managed and it was worth it for the hotel.

This was my favorite hotel while island hopping. The price is definitely worth it since it is walking distance from little Venice! There is a little hill that you have to walk to go up to the hotel but it was mainly a struggle with luggage. The staff is so friendly and our room was always clean.

Breakfast is 15€ and there weren’t a lot of options but we only ate it for one day and it was not to big of a deal.

The hotel was nice, staff was really polite. Pool was very nice, as well as inner courtyard. Very charming hotel.

We had room with a nice view, but next to the street. We didn't mind noise from the street, but the exhaust gases from cars was very intense. Sitting on terrace wasn't pleasant. Furthermore, a bad smell in bathroom was something what we didn't expect. It was moldy smell.
