Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

Absolutely fantastic. The lounge was the best I’ve ever been in, with flowing champagne and wonderful service. Better than the Grand Hyatt in Muscat, which is my favourite hotel in the world! The lounge staff - Scottie, Maggie and Veronica were attentive, humorous and kind. The views from the lounge and our room were magnificent. The pool was 28 degrees and lovely with a steam room and sauna in the changing room. The room was beautiful with a lovely bath and a shower from which you could see over the sea and city.

There was nothing to dislike. It was amazing! The room photo is of the lounge as we loved it. Excellent breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks.

The Grand Lounge is exceptional. View, food selection, service, atmosphere are marvellous. Mr Scott and Ms Maggie plus the team provide an extraordinary service. Room design is modern, cosy, high quality materials used for the finishing and everything is super clean. Housekeeping comes twice a day. Location is great to reach wherever you want. The ongoing construction around the hotel (they are kind enough to mention this on their website and also on booking.com) is not disturbing at all, nothing audible (even visible) inside.

The staff were super friendly, accommodating, efficient and courteous. I had some special requests prior to my arrival and they were all attended to correctly. The concierge were really very good as I had oversized luggage and they were helpful to bring it up for me even though it was really big ! The room was marvellous with the view and comfy bed and amenities. The floor to ceiling window is really the best thing about the room. It is really beautiful and relaxing ! I felt pampered ! Wifi was excellent ! I love the live music and the gym was modern and wonderful to use. I really wish I had more time to use the pool and other amenities.

The only thing I wish was whether the food could be better because it is quite hard to get a seat if you are eating out so having nice places to eat within the hotel would be a life saver especially when you are busy going from 1 meeting to another. During busy times of the day, the lifts can get crowded and you may wait a while for a lift with space.

The facilities were fantastic and the staff very friendly and attentive. It was close to station for you to use the MTR and there we walking districts around the area

It is hard to criticize the GH however I would like to suggest that they need to keep the breakfast sausage and bacon under a closh as they were always cold are at the least luke warm. A very minor issue but on that would make a difference to an otherwise amazing buffet. The champagne lounge was a hidden secret but well worth the discovery. Relaxing tunes and a good atmosphere.

Location was good for sightseeing & shopping,easy to get to via MTR The club facilities were excellent with a plentiful & very good selection of different foods at breakfast tea & dinner,very worthwhile booking this extra. The restaurants were also very good & it has a lovely pool & spa .

Not much just the smell of smoke outside by the pool as that was where the smokers gathered

Of all the places I could imagine, I never expected a Grand Hyatt hotel to have a serious bed bug problem. I sleep in shorts and noticed at the end of my stay numerous red insect bites on my legs, at first I thought they were mosquito bites, but given the severity and number of bites I later doubted that. When I reached home I went to a doctor who told me that they were bed bug bites and I was medicated.

Exceptional in many ways, but maybe not the best choice. This is genuine 5 star hotel with the facilities to match. Location is excellent if you plan to explore HK Island, or have a reason to be on this side. Train from the airport, then a taxis to the hotel only realistic transport for visitor. Stunning views of the harbour, although sadly the better views are from Kowloon. Outdoor pool is everything you'd expect and usually your own, with the benefit of no kids.

Disappointed with the food in the grand cafe, and that several places, such as the champagne bar, were closed a few nights. When you're visiting a new city sometimes the last thing you want to do is leave the hotel to find a decent meal or late night drink.

Our room was spacious and luxurious and had the most amazing views of the Habor. The electric block out blinders were fantastic and ensured we had a great sleep whilst in transit back to Aust from Europe. Everything had been thought of. The pool area exceeded expectations also. The pool temperature was perfect and the change room amenities, restaurant and bar were amazing. All the staff at the Grand Hyatt were exceptional - all of them. We couldn't have been more grateful for such a beautiful stay and a wonderful way to end our extended holiday. Thank You.

My wife and I went with one of the suites. It's not cheap, but the 180 degree view is worth it. I didn't want to leave the room. The location is OK. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and it's easy enough to have the staff grab a car for you. Thing you should know, which I didn't quite realize as it was our first time in Hong Kong, the amazing view of Hong Kong you always see is actually the side this hotel is on, so if you want a view of the island (the really great view, lit up buildings and such), stay at a nice hotel on the other side. Or do what we did and stay at different hotels on both sides of the water for both views! As for this hotel, it is a bit old, but it's very elegant and you hardly notice. The rooms are up to date, no complaints. Bed is very comfortable. Did I mention the view? Breakfast is delicious (and free if you are in a suite) and you get another awesome view from the club restaurant. The staff is incredible; celebrity treatment. 5-star all the way. Amazing experience.

Water pressure was a bit weak, but I'm really reaching here. We had an excellent stay.

The hotel was an excellent choice for a weekend staycation. Facilities and decor were sumptuous. The room was very comfortable with an incredible view of the harbour and a bath genuinely big enough to soak in. The Club lounge provided good food and drink and special mention should be made to the staff, who elevated the stay to a higher level. Scott and Maggie were outstanding in the Club Lounge and the entire staff in the Champagne bar were extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is very convenient to get around in Hong Kong and despite it's city location, the pool and Waterfall Bar could give you the feeling that you are far from the city. The Fitness centre also offered facilities for a complete work out! i would definitely recommend this hotel to you...!

If I had to pick details, the sauna was not hot on my first day of my visit. However, on reporting this the situation was quickly remedied. There could also be more English speaking (free) movie channels on the TV.
