Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong

Good location in TST and a nice walk up toward Mong Kok. Though, definitely one of the most touristy areas of the city. Not my ideal way to travel, but super convenient and minutes from the best views in Hong Kong. Abundant food options nearby, from street food snacks like Cheung Hing Kee to kaitenzushi at Genki.

Check-in process was a bit annoying, room wasn't ready even though arrived at like 4pm, though the situation was fixed promptly.

The property is quite centrally located. The hotel is a landmark and almost everyone in hongkong knows the location of the property. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel where you can find good vegetarian food.

The hotel need refurbishment. The breakfast should have more vegetarian food options and certainly a new chef. I was very disappointed with the breakfast spread. I was given the room at 5.30 p.m which made my trip very uncomfortable. I had to use the bathroom in the fitness area to get ready and attend a very important business meeting. I requested for.a late checkout and was allowed only to delay till 2 pm. Also for checkout it took me more than half an hour and the receptionist wasn’t very professional. I would really like to ask the hotel management to look in the general administration of the staff. Needs major improvements.

The bar in the room was empty. what was the reason? Breakfast was excellent.

We had an amazing time at Kowloon Shangri-la. It was a three-night stay for a farewell occasion as I was moving out of the country the day I checked out. I marked that on my reservation, and the hotel team really went the extra mile to make the stay special and memorable. They decorated my room with balloons, welcomed us with iconic Edward toys and handwriting cards, and took photos of my partner and me. Furthermore, they continued to surprise us with a bottle of Cava and chocolates and printed photos the night when we came back. The housekeeping team was also very attentive to details. Also the bed was very comfy. Thank you, Vivienne, Amber, Kammy, Molly and Jenny. I appreciate your efforts in making our stay beyond satisfying, and will definitely recommend it to our friends. Look forward to staying in Kowloon Shangri-la again.

It's a hotel with history, facilities are still good to use, just sometimes you can hear the subtle sounds of the fan clicking

The hotel facilities were great. Proximity to the underground subway was very helpful. Breakfast was good but need to cater for more veg options and or meals that don’t all mostly have pork

The staff at the check in counter namely , Carissa - extremely rude and was a great disappointment checking in and unfortunately we were met with the same person on check out . Having such a great hotel and with such facilities they need to train their staff on how to speak to customers better .

The service in the hotel is literally the best that I have seen anywhere in the world, and at the same time, I did not pay nearly what I would in other 5-star hotels. The people at the concierge service went out of their way to answer questions and help with reservations, the check-in was very quick and efficient, and the staff elsewhere was very courteous and helpful. The lobby has a very nice ambiance. The breakfast even though a little pricey but is very good and has a lot of varieties for different tastes. We had dinner in one of the restaurants and again it exceeded our expectations both in terms of food quality and service.

The room was spacious; the bed was comfortable; the staff was very friendly and helpful; room service was fast; since they weren't able to provide an extra bed, they gave us extra beddings and thick blankets to "convert" the couch into a bed for my 6 year old. Location is excellent. Strolling along and around the Victoria Harbor was a real treat!

The facilities are quite old but still clean and well-maintained. I wish they had a bidet and better toiletries.

The Shangri-La is a wonderful hotel at a great location. Rooms are good size with great view of Victoria Harbor. Room amenities are very nice. The hotel staff is great and speak English. Food quality is excellent.

All pricing is expensive by USA standards, including the room, lounge drinks, and restaurant food. All of these are of high quality, but the pricing drives down the value.

I went to this hotel for New Year Eve Night (Dec 31-Jan2) with my family, asking for high-floor room (we booked for harbour view room) to make my family a special event. we’d got the 8th Floor (almost lowest floor). We expected to get special things in Hong Kong but it seemed like, nothing special on the new year’s event for this hotel, probably there are culture differences from my country, maybe we gotta come on Chinese New Year instead.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the staff knowledgeable, friendly and efficient and my husband still can’t stop talking about the amazing breakfast buffet! The most spectacular thing was the view of the harbour. If you are considering booking a room with a view, splurge, you won’t regret it. We will definitely stay at The Shangri-La again!
