The Residency Towers Coimbatore

I had an extraordinary 3-week stay at Residency Tower Coimbatore. It's not just because the hotel was perfect, but the environment and the welcoming attitude of the employees made me feel at home. I've traveled around the world for the past 8 months, and this is the only place where I've experienced such a combination of luxurious 5-star hotel experience and a warm family vibe. The entire staff, including doormen, reception, cleaning, and restaurant teams, were nice and efficient in their work. Special mentions go to John, Jutu, Muthu, Saravanan, and the rest of the team for making my stay memorable

The bed was very comfortable and big. The food was tasty. The room lighting, tv, air con and curtains were all controlled through their iPad. Fast check in and out. Iron and board was requested and they fulfilled it. The hotel interior and exterior design and Christmas decoration was too beautiful and welcoming.

Everything was perfect except their customer service was overwhelming that it caused disturbance during our 1 day stay. Phone calls from reception when the "do not disturb" light was on. Staff tend to ring the door bell even to ask if we have any laundry and on another occasion wanted to check the mini bar when I have already informed the reception to do it later as we were getting ready for check out. Another instance, we ordered breakfast to be served to our room and told them to clear when we check out but unfortunately they ring the door bell an hour later asking if they can clear. I just wanted to have a peaceful stay but it was not as peaceful as I wanted.

Food in the Pavilion restaurant was good. In room service was good. Airport drop off and pick up was good.

Limited to 2 Airport drop offs and pick ups. We flew domestically, and had to pay out of pocket for additional drop offs and pick ups. Seemed like nickel-and-diming, especially when we had stayed for 8 nights, and paid quite a bit. Also, we skipped breakfast on 3 days, would've been good to offer dinner access to days we missed breakfast. It would be nice to have a small convenience store inside the hotel, similar to 7-eleven types. I needed to get a cough drop for my wife (halls / strepsils), front desk staff were useless in this request. I ended up walking down to the nearest pharmacy to get it. I'd expect such requests to be handled gladly by a 5-star hotel!

The location was unbeatable. Ashwin at the front desk went above and beyond to make me and my mother feel comfortable. People like him make a world of difference! He made up for a little deficiencies I found at the property.

I had a toe fracture whereby I couldn't wear proper shoes to exercise. So it was a bummer that they didn't let me owing to no shoes! I do understand there are rules, but a little disappointed that on valid grounds it couldn't be changed/adjusted to. If you are looking at international travelers as clientele, which I am technically, a suggestion I can give is to be able to be a tad more flexible & open. If need be, you can get a waiver signed.

The staff and courtesy is peerless. It was a delight to see such a well staffed unit with super responsiveness. The place itself is in the best Vantage point in the city. The underground car park is a boon. The breakfast spread and quality is just awesome

Not really it is bad or I dislike but the pool can be cleaner. The men's changing room was flooding.

The room was good , clean and quite comfy beds ..The grooming supplies are all herbal and from one of the best herbal companies in India. The fitness and wellness facilities in the hotel are good. The dinner was great ( we ordered biryani , curd rice and some bread to our room ) .. they do have buffets as well .. but we were quite tierd from the drive from Bangalore to Coimbotor and did not dine much .. The breakfast spread is quite exquisite and delicious , they had a wide variety of options , variety of salads, healthy veg juices , fruits , wide spread of Indian ( northern and southern cuisine) and western cuisine as well .. Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff for this ...

It would be great if i there were room with windows that could be opened if needed, it just gave me this feeling of the room being a bit stuffy with conditioned air ..

Loved my stay even though it was only for a day.. The room was decent (in terms of size) and quite comfortable even though the cooling of the AC could have been better. The best part was the attitude and pleasantness of the staff. Each one of them were awesome to say the least. The spread for breakfast and lunch was also awesome to say the least. Just loved it. Being a foodie this was a real bonus.. Great work guys.. Keep it going.. Now I know where I would be staying when I travel to Coimbatore..

The cooling of the AC in the room could have been better though it was not bad.. I generally prefer cooler rooms and on this front this could have been better. Moreover there were frequent power outages even though it lasted only for a couple of mins (or even shorter) every time. This must have happened at least 4-5 times. However this is not a major complaint but still was a bit disturbing.

Shower drain blocked, and overflowing maintenance staff tried to fix but could not fix completely Fount Desk staff were very apologetic about the situation

Must try the suites with iPad/e-controls of the lights, AC, curtains/ambience, entertainment; It’s a whole new experience that will be the standard for future accommodation. The suites are sleek and well designed. The staff at breakfast is always attentive, quick, and friendly. The staff in general is warm and look out for their guests.

The buffet spread was very good with a lot of varieties.. My kid's taste was also taken care of. The spa service was also relaxing.. The housekeeping cleaned the rooms regularly. Complimentary desserts made our stay special.

There was no kids pool and no area for the kids to play. The restaurent Afghan grill was very expensive and the menu was limited.
