Kenmare Bay Hotel Lodges

Well appointed little house with everything we needed for simple self catering (breakfast, but of lunch etc). Good bedrooms, fairly comfy beds and spacious bathrooms. Good showers. Hotel style linen and towels. Everything working, we had no issues. Easy and clearly marked parking just outside house. Wifi OK, up to streaming on smart TV but sometimes buffered.

Decor downstairs a little dark, needed lights on (only minor inconvenience!). I think you could do better with welcome pack, oil for frying, pint of milk, bottle of fizz perhaps…..you do describe this as luxury!

We stayed in lodges, there was plenty of space and everything was really clean. The decor was dated to the 90s but still nice. Smart TV which kids loved to watch movies before bed. Location to town was really good with a centra shop across the road for essentials. Bar staff were extremely helpful and nice especially when our middle girl knocked a drink all over the table. Bar food was really nice with the fish and chips being a hit with us!

The hotel is a bit dated in decor and could do with some modernisation. The pool was really cold for the kids and again could do with some updating. The bar finished serving food at 6pm which I think is far too early for families who don't want the formality of a restaurant.

Wonderful staff and the unit was very clean and spacious. Really spoiled us for future sites. Although my kids are teenagers now, this would have been a wonderful option for younger kids, toddlers, or a baby. Nicely put together and very quiet. Although not in the heart of Kenmare, it's a very short 3 minute drive. Felt like you rented an entire 2 story condo. Wonderful Guinness pour in the bar. Very nice.

As stated above, the lodge is not directly in the heart of Kenmare. The beds could have been a bit more comfortable. They run in the firm side. Otherwise great.

This is our second year running staying in a 2 bed lodge. They are so comfortable and very spacious. Having two full bathrooms is great for larger families. Staying in such nice accomodation makes for a relaxing holiday. You park outside the lodge so easy for unpacking. Kids loved the pool and a short stroll to town. The area has so much to offer whatever the weather.

We used the pull out sofa and it was not overly comfortable..a mattress topper would help. Beds are very comfortable.

Breakfast was good value - €37 for our family. Lovely pool. House was very well equipped and comfortable - one of the best self catering houses we have stayed at. Staff were really friendly. Lovely hotel for a family break and a short walk into town.

Pricey for 2 nights - but then everywhere seems pricey at the moment. Ate in the bar one evening - food was good but the bar is not a very nice place to sit and eat IMO. Bar and restaurant could both do with an upgrade in terms of decor.

Stayed for a wedding. The lodges exceeded my expectations and had provided everything you could think of for a home away from home. The beds were super comfortable and all the rooms were very spacious. Excellent facilities. Also access to the hotel leisure centre which was included in the price. It is a very short walk to town but situated in a nice quiet location for a relaxing stay.

We booked hotel lodge, it’s private and quiet to stay, good location in town with good Mountain View.

I understand the house needs time to clean up, if check out time could a little bit late instead of 10am, it would be better, the guests will feel relax more.

Large spacious accommodation. Only thing missing was maybe some UHT milk, as there were tea bags and coffee in kitchen. As we were staying for just one night en route to a wedding, staff extended our check out time, so we could get dressed and go straight from accommodation. Access to pool etc., was included in house rental. Two carparking spaces outside house.

It was shocking good value with two en suite bedrooms. It had a large living room, kitchen and even fenced in yard. I went to check that I really reserved this for the price I paid because it seemed too good to be true. It’s located right on the trail, which is a five minute walk to town and at a key intersection from Ring of Kerry to Dingle, which was our route. Gas station and restaurant right there!

The washing machine was very difficult to use. It was hard to shut the door and then open it again. Plan on several hours to get a small load done.

Great location and plenty of space for two middle aged couples travelling together. Beds were comfortable, living room and kitchen had everything required, except salt and pepper. We only received one days worth of coffee but staff was very responsive when we called and brought extra coffee and filters.
