Wonderful location looking down onto the valley of the temples. Walkable to a few nice restaurants and 5 minute drive to the old town and wider choice of restaurants and gelaterias. Lovely big comfortable family room and beautiful gardens. The jacuzzis were a bonus (all cool or Luke warm which was perfect for the weather). Good choice for breakfast with friendly staff.

We didn’t have our own outdoor space right outside the room so tricky to dry towels. Communal areas were lovely but no private space. The shower was very poor- very low water pressure and variable temperatures.

The location is excellent especially for visiting the Valley of the Temples. The grounds are beautiful, the room was spacious and very clean. Staff was great. The facility is the site of an old monastery and has been family owned for a very long time. An added bonus is that the owners cooked an optional dinner. It turned out to be at least ten courses with wine. What a great evening. Also, from the swing chair in the courtyard you can view the large Grecian temple lit up at night and glowing gold.

Good location, provide private parking, could go to Temple of valley by walking. The B&B was housed in a farm yard with a good variety of friut trees, flowers, and plants. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, resting on armchairs outside the B&B was very relaxing.Breakfast was also excellent, with good variety of selections.

no electric kettle for water or coffee making. There was an electric oven, however, the power supply was broken. Would be good if there were hooks for hanging of bath towel/clothes near shower area. Someone playing music till 11pm which was a bit disturbing, as I only stay for one night, not sure if it was a common situation.

A very classical Villa estate with very nice and rather large rooms. Everything was very clean. The family who run it are very friendly and professional and seem to work very hard to deliver a quality experience. We opted both nights for the evening meal - it comprised a really good (and varied - nothing served the second night had featured the day before) taster type menu: multiple courses (of good size) focused on local dishes eg wild boar spaghetti. Wine was provided as required. The atmosphere and service were second to none. The cost of the meal (in November, so rather out of season) was €40 per person: cheap and good value even by Sicilian standards! The grounds were very nice - including a grove of orange trees. The breakfast was the typical Italian continental breakfast, but supplemented with things like eggs cooked to your choice.

No negatives but it is perhaps worth pointing out that although the property is just above the Valley of the Temples (with good views of it from the dining area), that out of season only two gates are open. This made walking there slightly problematical as whichever way one went (clockwise or anti-clockwise from the property to either entrance) involved 200 metres of walking along a busy road with no footpath. A shame because most of the way to either gate there exists a perfectly good footpath!! One would need to think very carefully before attempting the walk with say young children or with say a wheelchair user. Driving there would be more straightforward.

We loved Villa La Lumia. Luigi and his family could not have been more welcoming. Traveling as a family of eight can be challenging, but all of our needs were met. Luigi offered a family dinner one of our nights, and we were so amazed by the incredible multi-course dinner cooked and served by his family. We were staying during Easter week, and felt very much a part of the family gatherings. The hotel was so lovely. We loved sitting out on the patio and enjoying the beautiful view of the temples. We had an amazing stay, and would love to return.

We liked everything about it. It is a very unique, special place.

You can’t price waking up to a view if 2,500 year old temples, a luxury that you will share with only a handful of people. Exceptional location right in the middle of the Temple valley in a beautiful, traditional but renovated countryhouse. The owner’s family has lived on the location for about 200 years and is totally devoted to making the guests feel at home. The owner welcomed us warmly, showed us his family’s garden, and kindly booked us a table in a beautiful and excellent restaurant with equally stunning views. Family, traditional Sicilian setting in a world-class place.

Nothing to dislike frankly

Villa La Lumia is an interesting collection of small family style dwellings immediately north of the valley of the temples. So the valley of the temples is within walking distance, but it still feels like you were out in the country, which is very nice. The hosts are wonderful, and invited us to join them for a home-cooked meal upon our arrival. They are not a Restaurant, but on two or three days a week may provide a meal based on what they are eating, and how much they are making. It was delicious. It was also close to walk to or drive to a restaurant, but watch out for Sunday in the village towards the beach, because it can be inundated with people and cars. It worked for us because a rare parking space appeared right next to the restaurant and our timing was right. Good parking and access at the Villa. We did not use the hot tub because it wasn’t circulating water and did not seem like a good idea. Otherwise, this was a great stop for us. situated perfectly between the valley of the temples below, and the city of Agrigento. Pretty easy in and out with the car.

Stayed at this villa 3 times, always a pleasure to come back here. The owners of the villa are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Very beautiful territory of the villa, magnificent landscape design, many trees, flowers and a territory with vineyards, if you wish, you can buy delicious wine here. There is also a pool in which it is pleasant to swim, a good comfortable depth. We were always satisfied with the apartments, nice big rooms nice design with interesting furniture and details. There is also a kitchen, which was very important for us, since in Italy there is always an abundance of fresh fish and seafood and every time you want to cook and taste this deliciousness. We'll be back again for sure!

Exceptional property and staff. We felt very comfortable and welcomed. After being on the road for 2 weeks it was nice to feel relaxed , take some time to de stress from traffic and driving and get our laundry done. Walking distance to the temples and museum. Above average, but Typical Italian breakfast, with many wonderful additions. Freshly squeezed juices from their own orchard and homemade jams from their fruits. Also we were lucky to get there when the owners were offering g a home cooked wonderful 5 course dinner! The property was in the family for over two hundred years old. They have done many upgrades including the charming spacious apt we stayed in was formerly a stable. The grounds are beautiful complete with orange & lemon groves and olives trees, some over 500 years. The papa of the farm boasts that one tree is 1000 yrs old. Incredible place!

The thing I didn’t like was that I had to leave it!

Wonderful setting with spectacular view over The Valley of Temples. Our room was beautifully decorated with high end soft furnishings and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

One grumble, which would not stop me recommending however, I’d have liked to know first. We were invited to have dinner at the Villa. Due to the language barrier (my fault I know) it was difficult to understand the pricing - we’d had a big lunch, and only wanted a snack and our son wasn’t eating. Food was wonderful, simple, set menu of Sicilian food (sardine, aubergine, pasta). On check out we were told it was €90 for the dinner, which I felt was high, particularly with no prior warning. We were also asked to pay in cash (our last morning so didn’t have enough, so I would advise to carry cash).
