Grand Hotel Passetto

I liked everything about Grand Hotel Passetto. It exceeded my expectations on every level. I expected a tired, rundown place that had seen better days. The location is excellent. It’s close to restaurants and the sea. Our room had a balcony and sea view. The breakfast was extensive. The staff were courteous and attentive. Lots of amenities.

My only criticism is a busy road runs in front of the pool, but it is shielded by a tall row of hedges so it’s kind of buffered.

Hotel is in a great location in a peaceful part of the town with a short walk down a lot of steps to the small beach (there is a lift also). Room with balcony, sea view and air conditioning was lovely. Facilities of the pool and lounge areas were clean and comfortable. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well supplied with wide choice.

Only that the breakfast options for lacto-free products were less than expected, even though we had checked in advance.

Position was fantastic right on the front and overlooking the sea. The staff were excellent and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, they also spoke amazing English. the hotel was super clean, it was spotless. Lovely fresh linen, comfy bed and good toiletries etc. The breakfast was also very good, lots of choice and plentiful. The staff again were also very helpful. White crisp linen and again very clean in the Breakfast room. We used the pool and it was clean and there were plenty of sun beds/parasols but we did go mid September so slightly out of season and this could be the reason. This also could explain why it was reasonably easy to park. Nice walk into Ancona town down a tree lined avenue. The only thing that I could fault is having looked on their website it advised a great restaurant but this was nowhere to be seen /not operational, only a breakfast room??

No evening restaurant

Beautiful location only a short walk from Passetto beach (which has a lift for those who can't climb the steep stairs back up!) We liked the relaxed but elegant vibe of the hotel, the great breakfast and the gym. The beds were very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. We hope to be able to come back!

Unfortunately the swimming pool was not open, which was a shame as this was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. However, we enjoyed our swim on the beach.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Passetto. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, very clean and had everything we needed available. The continental breakfast was great and a good swimming pool and area for sunbathing aswell, also not too far from the beach, and great views from the balcony. Would definitely go again.

I couldn't find fault with anything, all good.

The property is in close walking distance to the sea and in a safe and pleasant part of the city. our room had access to a large balcony where we could enjoy the view. There is a large salon in the main floor - perfect for afternoon coffee. There is a pool for those who wish to use it. The breakfast room was elegant and the buffet had everything one could want with fresh cheese and meats as well as pastries and tartes.

Really helpful staff who advised us on transport options before our arrival. Welcoming and friendly. Clean and comfortable room. Faculties were great and staff allowed us to leave luggage and use pool / showers etc after we checked out

Some of my friends reported the rooms were quite dusty. I didn’t notice this in my room so probably a bit variable.

Grand Hotel Passetto is one of the few hotel left with a soul. It's clear it is loved who runs it and it keeps it to an high standard. The hotel is old but very well kept. The rooms are super clean and the staff amazing. The stay was beyond my expectation for the money we paid. I have stayed in much more quoted hotel, for much more of the money and i got much less. I sincerely thank the staff who clearly is loving his job.

The rooms are renovated, modern and well equipped. The pool is lovely, big comfy sofas in the lobby and the staff were incredibly helpful. Great tips on beaches to go to and restaurants to try. Breakfast was tasty and the head waiter was quite a character

Nothing really, just be prepared for a decent walk down to the main part of town

we had a really nice room with a big terrace and a good view. the bed was comfortabele and the breakfast was excellent. the staff was very kind and helpful.

unfortunately we could not make use of the swimming pool because the water was not of good quality because of the heavy rains last week. The hotel was not to blame for it, but it was a pity for is.
