HB Aosta Hotel & Balcony SPA

We stay at this hotel every time we visit or pass through Aosta (see my previous reviews). The location is fantastic right in the heart of the historic city and with private parking. The room is big enough, and the view of the Alps from the window is breathtaking. The room is very clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with a variety of cheese, cold cuts, dairy products and of course the sweet part. Coffee, tea and juice complete the breakfast. And the price is very reasonable.

The hotel was well-located just inside the old city of Aosta, very close to a central plaza with many cafes and restaurants nearby. Communication with the hotel staff was excellent, and they were very accommodating at check-in etc. The room was fine for the money paid -- no better or worse than expected. The staff at breakfast were very attentive and helpful.

My room overlooked a parking lot and was a bit loud with construction activity. Parking cost extra.

Great location in the centre of Aosta but easily accessible. The rooms are great and so are the breakfasts. The staff were incredibly helpful when our car broke down and allowed us to leave our baggage in a storage room whilst we waited for a hire car. They also accommodated us for an extra night at short notice. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The pillows were a bit hard and could do with renewing.

Location, room size, jacuzzi in room, and the rental for the private use of the spa is great. The staff was welcoming and sweet, we even decided to spend an extra night because the room was so nice. The spa is really nice! They even had fresh fruit, detox water and plain water. Towels and robes and sandals are included.

I found that the breakfast wasn't very nice, I was expecting more local food like focaccia, local pastries and cheeses, ripe tomatoes. I felt like they were catering more to tourists and having bacon and eggs with pancakes and unripe fruit seemed like a shame for the region we were in. Some vegan butter would have been nice too. Regarding the spa, there was a bit of a strange smell, almost like cat pee. It was mild but maybe using some aroma therapy would cover that smell and make the experience exceptional :-) There was a lot of construction around the hotel during our stay so a bit noisy during the stay, which was a shame during the spa. But it didn't ruin the experience.

Location is perfect, right in the middle of the town but it has parking under the hotel too which is very useful. Rooms are reasonable size and comfortable, bathrooms are large and well equipped. Breakfast was OK, if you eat meat you'll like it but not much fruit available. There is a pool you can use but you'll be too busy eating in the many lovely restaurants which are just a 1 min walk from the hotel or shopping in the various shops. Overall a very pleasant hotel.

Not much, the price is a little high but I guess it's for the location.

Rooms were well equipped clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. The location is ideal for the town centre but less convenient for skiing , although it’s only a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the Gondola station.

The property offers Sky TV but had only very limited channels with sport and news. It would have been good to be able to access films either in English or with sub tittles. Also use of the Spa was an expensive extra charge which was disappointing.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The rooms were well thought out, the bed super comfortable, not noisy, and generally a pleasure to be in. I started in this hotel when I biked the Via Francigena and spent a few nights at the end when I got back. Both times were fantastic. The staff are super helpful and the breakfast had eggs, pancakes, bacon, cheese, fruit, dulce, and more.

All staff were very friendly and helpful. They even sent us details on how to approach the hotel before even starting our trip. They were also very quick to answer a question that we sent through email. They even suggested a wonderful restaurant that we absolutely loved! The parking in front was great, we felt that our car was safe. Very central location, close to the city centre and to the ski lifts. In short, we had a wonderful long weekend!

There was nothing that we disliked, really. It is hard to fault them!

The location is great - right in Aosta historic centre but easily accessible. The staff were super and went out of their way to help us when our car broke down. We ended up staying an extra two days! The breakfasts were great too!

The pillows were a bit hard but luckily there were cushions!
