Hotel Vallechiara

View from the hotel and view during the breakfast was phenomenal. Breakfast was rich and with a great variety of sweets and cakes. Location is quiet and reachable by car where you have hotel parking. Bikers, you have a few serpentine to the Bormio, while to the top of Stelvio pass you have around 40 minutes

I liked pretty much everything - for a few seconds at the beginning of the evening there was an electricity power cut which was solved in a matter of seconds. The room window was smaller, but hey, I booked the cheapest room and it was really enough for venting.

Nice hotel in a fantastic place for skiing holiday. In hotel is everything what you need, bar, restaurant, ski rental, ski school. We did not use welness so I cannot evaluate. Breakfasts are very good, I will appreciate some vegetable, but it is sufficient, with fantastic sweets and with very good coffee (it is the most important for me for breakfast :-)) Restaurant has wonderful panoramic windows with excellent view to Bormio. In the room you have everything what you need, comfortable beds, nice view. Rooms were very well heated (even too much to be honest :-))

The location is awesome with views all over Bormio and the valleys. You can walk nearby, in the slopes and the forest. Clean, big room (probably we were given a bigger one) and the breakfast was superb. We ate dinner at the restaurant (not included in the price of course) and it was very good, too. We were to stay 2 nights, but (our fault) we couldn't reach Bormio on time. The manager, changed our reservation and we payed for the one night we stayed. We wouldn't have blamed them if we were charged for 2 nights, so we were certainly impressed and obliged by this behaviour.

I'm average height, and the bed was just enough long. Someone taller, would have had an issue. though there were other beds in the room, maybe longer.

Very good breakfast, everything was there: 3 different croissants, 3 different cakes, egg, bacon, bread, muesli, cornflakes, yogurt, cheese, fruits, multiple choice of milk, juice, coffee, etc. Restaurant, bar and rooms interiors are nice and new. Corridors and sauna area have a little bit older look. Location is awesome, ski lift just 100m from the door. Also Livigno is just 50 min drive and Santa Catarina 15 min drive. Views from the rooms are also magnificent + balcony in some rooms. Free parking on premise, plenty of places in the front and behind the hotel. Hotel has separate ski room for skies and snowboards, also there are ski boot dryers. Free sauna everyday from 15:00 to 19:00 Late check-in wasn't a problem, we arrived after midnight (you need to arrange this before, as there isn't 24/7 reception).

In sauna there was used varnish wood, which makes everything super slippery. Also sauna heater would need some extra stones. Soundproof rooms - not really. We could hear neighbour toilet flush, kid crying and alarm clock. WiFi was a little bit unstable and should be looked into (required to log in again and again).

Great location. We had a "family room" with 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. While it was not "big", it was more than adequate. Half board option was good, even though drinks are extra. Nice wine list to go with the good, local Italian food. Breakfast was basic, but no complaints. Location just off the piste was fantastic, with secure storage facilities. Pleasant family atmosphere, the staff were great. fantastic views of Bormio from the dining room and outdoor terrace. I can only recommend this hotel, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are already looking forward to returning at the beginning of the winter ski season.

The view is heartbreaking. It is one of the most beautifull places I've been. The staff is very polite. The cuisine from the restaurant is super good. Try the homemade black taglietele. Don't miss the view from the hotel's restaurant. Its unreal! The rooms are small, but very cozy and clean. The yard has a nice terrace and a playground for kids. The location is a great one in the whole Bormio! It is place to come back, for sure!

The pictures from the website show balconies, but not all the rooms have it. Please check beforehand if the room you see is the one to be given.

Located above Bormio with amazing view of the town and mountains (room 109). 10 minutes drive to Bormio and lots of hiking options around. Friendly staff and management. Good breakfast.

The food at the hotel restaurant was good, but could be better. The view at the hotel restaurant is beautiful, but yet, dinner was not the best value fro money.

We enjoyed our brief stay; it was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were so comfortable that we overslept!

The views were fantastic. Breakfast was a good spread of food. The location was quiet and transport needed for the nearby town, but ideal if you enjoy walking / hiking. Room was spacious very clean and comfortable

The location on the mountain for skiing couldnt have been better. The views were spectacular. Very easy ski in ski out.

It was a little far from the main town. A car is most definitley needed, although taxis are easy to come by. I was on foot, but the manager kindly dropped me to the bus station so that I didnt miss it.
