MA Hotel

i was there only for the night. as with most Italian addresses, they are often a little difficult to get into a navigation system so finding it wasn't quite as easy as i had hoped for, so i drove past for a couple of times until i realized that the hotel actually is this massive building which as i was told later, used to be a Augustinian monastery. Things easy to miss are either really small or really big and this one belonged to the 2nd category. Parking in front of the house is rather difficult and once you missed the right spot it is a go around as all the streets are one way and lead out of the village walls. but once i sussed that one out, everything was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful in everything i asked especially pointing me to a near by parking space that was free of charge and not to far away. the building in itself is massive, with lots of space(s), the stairways are huge, the corridors were wide and long with the muffled echo of centuries of prayer and penance, that have long vanished. The room itself was spacy, not overly decorated which in a way was in line with its heritage, the bathroom small as in most Italian houses, B&Bs, Hotels but fully equipped and hot water came quickly and with nice water pressure. The matrass was a little "springy" but i slept like a baby, with open windows leading out to the main street of the Corinaldo old town and it being Saturday, i had expected more of a church bell marathon but none of that happened while i was there or conscious. As i slept late i cannot say anything about the breakfast, what i can say however was the friendliness of the host - a German speaking woman who allowed me to overstay the 10am vacating policy of the hotel, because i had to walk back to the venue from the evening before and pick up my motorbike. all in all just another nice stay in Italy with friendly people eager to help and please.

Even though i am thinking hard, i cannot come up with anything that would be worth mentioning here.

Hotel with loads of character right at the heart of the cute little town of Corinaldo. The hotel offer a great view over the hills. Super helpful staff, ready to help out when you have questions on what to visit and where to eat. Comfortable room, recently renovated, and great breakfast. Just very good value for price.

very basic room, bathroom not properly cleaned mattress super cheap and uncomfortable. breakfast was pure chaos as understaffed. they run out of food quickly.

The bed was terrible, thin mattress and poor pillows.

The hotel is in the center, rooms where clean.

Breakfast was poor quality and 'Corona-style', ask for what you want from what is displayed. The formula is low-end (but not priced as such at 150/night) so the interior is simple and empty with low cost furniture and beds. Nothing matches the potential atmosphere of the historic building. It now has more of a hospital atmosphere.
