Hotel City

The location was perfect near the center, pretty close to the train station ( 20 minute walk) and very near the lakeside cafes, restaurants and ferry dock. The breakfast spread was impressive with a variety of coffees, teas, juices, muffins, pancakes, waffles, fruits, yogurts, scrambled eggs and bacon. All set out in a very welcoming and spacious dining area with indoor and outdoor seating. You can’t go wrong here.

We liked everything.

A very nice hotel for the value (68 euro for a queen bed). The lobby and shared spaces looked very modern and the staff were very helpful with my last-minute decision making. The location is only a few blocks from the main street but its about a 20 minute trek uphill to the train station (granted the whole main town is).

The room itself felt a little dated, and the toilet made a strange whirring noise you could hear through the wall for a long time after flushing, but nothing about it was particularly disruptive and these are minor complaints for the cost.

Very close to the city center, just a few minutes walking on the pretty narrow streets. The hotel is simple and quiet, cozy even if a bit dated. It’s good value for money, with a lot of breakfast options: pancakes, omelette, ham, cheese, granola. There are about 10 parking spots, with a cost of 10 Euro/day. Finally, this ia a good spot to connect easily (by car) to Sirmione, Peschiera, Lazise, including Gardaland.

Wifi is slow and the connection itself requires you to create an account (why?!), frequently getting disconnected regardless. The maid never checks the shower gel level, so you need to ask for a refill yourself.

Everything was what you would expect very neat clean and tidy hotel,very close to Desenzano 2 mins easy.The breakfast was a nice assortment of things,all in all I would use this hotel again depending on the price.The front desk staff were excellent.The carpets in the passage very nice along with the door to the room which sets a nice welcome to the room which was a J suite.

The breakfast lady was very sour to say the least,she needs a few happy pills,not someone to start your morning off on the right foot. The awnings outside all of the building need a good powerwash especially over the breakfast terrace.There is no outside space to chill and have a coffee or drink .

Excellent location only a few minutes walk from restaurants and the lake. Only a ten minute walk to the train station, up hill! Clean and comfortable rooms. Great choice for breakfast.

The bedrooms are on the small side and can be hard to walk around the beds. Very few hangers in wardrobe, we were staying 6 nights and wanted to unpack. Only small issues that wouldn’t put me off returning.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, with helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with a reasonable selection. The location is only a short walk to the town centre.

The hotel is up a bit of a backroad and on a hill. The walk to/from the train station is not so far but also on a hill. Not a problem at all for most, however might be more challenging with a lot of luggage or mobility issues.

The hotel has a family-run feel to it. A great deal of care has been taken in decorating and furnishing it. The motoring theme is really memorable (it’s very well done). Breakfast was very good and it’s taken in a very stylish room. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very good for the town and close enough to walk to the train station even with bags.

Impeccable cleaned rooms and overall a very good taste when it comes to furniture and appliances used. Plenty of food options for breakfast with good coffee and very cool asian-like decor. The hotel is very close to the city center and it has good sound isolation. Good AC throughout the hotel. The staff is unbelievably polite and nice, I liked chatting with all of them and I particularly appreciated the attention to detail of the ladies who cleaned the room. Bravo, this hotel is very well managed and it's now on my favorite places to come back to in Italy!

The lady who was responsible for the breakfast was a bit too direct and slightly rood but she did an amazing job keeping the buffet stocked and making sure everything was in good order.

Our room was quite big and we had enough space for two adults and child that is 9 years old. He loved that there were 2 TV's in the room one for us and one for him. Bathroom was nice big size and shower too. Breakfast was excellet, great coffee from the machine, and fresh fruits, eggs, tost, pancakes, juices everything you would want for a great breakfast. Lady that served in breakfast room was very nice and took care of every guest there, and spoke with them to make sure they have everything. Hotel location was as well excellent, just down the road and you find your self in center of town. I have to point out that parking service for our car was so good, I asked them in advace, and they had spot reserved for us that stayed our place for all 5 days we were there. Front desk personel was professional and nice and had answers to all our quesitons. I highly recommend this nice little hotel and excellent staff.

Breakfast had a very good selection to suit all tastes. The hotel reception was great and they even upgraded our room as it was our anniversary. The rooms were throughly cleaned daily to a high standard and the air conditioning was a bonus as it was so warm. The location is fantastic for Lake Garda. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
