Mercure Hotel President Lecce

More options than a regular hotel for veg/vegan diet at breakfast! I also didn't had to ask for the options as all allergies where listed with numbers. I am vegan. But people with gluten allergy> look no further! Staff at breakfast were also really kind, kept everything in check, dirty plates were taken away in no time. Nice spacious rooms. Hotel has more character because of use of colors and paintings/art. Hotel is in a safe area. Whole of Lecce felt safe. Location is perfect for walking to Lecce city centre. Also perfect for if you come with the car, since at the end of the street the residential area starts and you can park you car for cheap/free after 20.00 (hotel parking was available but 20 euro).

Tip: provide a small map of Lecce with basic info.

I stayed in Room 108 from the 27th August to 30th August. Tonio, one of the excellent employees of the hotel was an absolute Godsend. Tonio went over and beyond and I cannot thank him enough. Thank you

I feel that the cost of the parking should be included within the price of the hotel, I feel then it would appear better value for money.

Location was perfect. 10 minutes to main attactions. Indoor parking is available. Desk officers were very helpfull. Breakfast is good but may be better than this. Room was clean and ac is running good.

There may be more salty options at breakfast. No any greens at breakfast. Coffee nice but regular. Mercure should offer better than this.

The hotel was 100% value for money and everything was at the level it should to make a comfortable staying there. Friendly and easygoing personnel with a genuine smile, a gentle touch of luxury everywhere (large spaces, new materials around, large buffet, large rooms and bath), sound isolation (both from the exterior as well as the interrior, we could hardly hear an ambulance going by on the road utside). Much more than initially expected.

The carpeting is very dated and unhygienic. The smoke detecter blinks an annoying flash all night long, that keeps you awake if you are a light sleeper. The pillows need an upgrade ASAP Some of the rooms have a fixed shutter in the windows which doesnt open at all.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, the room is really very, very spacious, as are the bathroom and the balcony. Try dinner at the hotel restaurant, you won't regret it. The food is superb. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.
