Hotel Riviera Venezia Lido

Close to water taxi terminal {across the street), great hot buffet breakfast-lots of choices.Large rooms w/period furniture (was a palace) lots of closets,comfy beds.,small refrig-kept drinks cold. We had beautiful private terrace with wrought iron furniture & lots of flowers & plants overlooking the water. Could see St.Marks Plaza across the water! Awesome! Staff was very helpful & friendly.so much nicer and quieter staying on Lido-away from busy streets of Venice. would definitely stay at Hotel Riviera Venezia Lido next time in Italy!

Nothing- Bathtub/shower had high sides-need grab bars for balance! They even had towel warming racks in bathroom! Very Nice!

We had an amazing experience staying in this hotel! Very stylish atmosphere, the room number was very cozy and clean, enough space. We had a lagoon view, balcony, air conditioner, included breakfast (buffet). The bathroom was also very comfortable, shower was separated well from the other part of the bathroom. Lido is a great place, we were very happy we chose this hotel. Firstly we thought we had to stay at San Marco, but the main island is kind of messy, full of tourists, so it was a really good idea to stay a bit further. Location is convenient: close to ACTV stops, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacy, and great bonus is public beach in 10 minutes walking. We already want to visit Venezia again and we will stay here for sure, thank you!

The room was clean and big enough. The location is very good close to vaporetto station. The reception staff were friendly

The breakfast was not very good. The coffemachine was slow and we had to stay on the line a long time every morninf in order to get coffee. The breakfastroom staff was unfriendly and refused to help us with coffee. They even told us to clean our own table when we had the breakfast in the terrace (which was a part of the breakfastroom)

A very nice hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. Perfect location, easy to get to Venice old town (as well as to Burano and Murano). It has a cozy shared balcony with a great view to Venice.

All in all, everything was perfect. But breakfasts were not really good, limited and not very tasty. It wasn't a big problem for me, but for someone it might be disturbing: there is a bar right next to the hotel with loud music at nights, which you can hear even if the windows are closed.

The hotel stands right behind the Lido vaporetto station. After the scrum of the crowds, it was such a relief to stroll down the lovely, virtually empty sidewalks of the Lido! Very good, reasonably priced restaurants line the main avenue (main entrance to the hotel), as well as cafes and ice cream parlors. April is wisteria month in southern Europe, and "Parco delle Rose" restaurant has a massive pergola dripping with white wisteria under which to enjoy a delicious meal. Some few blocks down this tree-lined avenue is the Adriatic Sea. The room was delightful: elegant decor and, to my surprise, even a little private terrace with a small table and two chairs (ask for a room on the first floor). The bathroom was very clean, just like the room. I appreciated environment-saving liquid soap dispensers that eliminate one-use plastic toiletries, and the option to not have your towels washed every day. I especially appreciated the pull cord in the bathtub to call for help if needed. Fantastic power shower! The breakfast included in the rate is abundant and varied: bacon, scrambled eggs, pastries, yogurt, etc. Lido is an ideal location for visiting Venice: just a glance at the line waiting at the Piazza San Marco station to cram into the vaporetto that goes in the other direction as compared to the practically empty waiting area of the vaporetto to Lido is a powerful argument. But also the relaxing sail back from a day of sightseeing (a sightseeing treat in itself!), and the look and feel of the upscale Mediterranean seaside resort town.

The bed was a bit too hard. It would be convenient to add another panel to the shower screen to avoid getting the bathroom floor wet when you shower.

The location and staff was amazing! I was treated like a queen. My journey to get there from Canada was a nine hour flight to Rome, followed by a few very hectic days there, followed by approx a five hour train ride, followed by approx an hour water bus, with a few other stressful travelling mishaps on the way. I arrived looking quite disheveled (a generous word). The place is elegant and sophisticated and so is the staff, yet unless they had great poker faces, they treated me like royalty and that meant so much to me at the time. They were very very helpful before and during my arrival, answering all questions and responding to all my requests or needs on an immediate basis and never once did they make me feel less than. The breakfast was very good, however there was an additional charge of 1.50 euro for a fried egg. You could have plates and plates of scrambled eggs though if you wished. For myself, I did not hear any noise from the people or bus stop across the street and slept soundly. My travelling companion however did notice some noise.

Very well situated. Near the ferries for travelling to other areas of Venice. Elegant building inside and out. We upgraded to a room with a terrace which had a very pleasant outlook. Plenty of bars and eating places to choose from. Although the beach on the Lido was for us about 20 mins walk, it was well worth it. The staff were always friendly and informative. We were well looked after.

The food served in the breakfast room was plentiful but obviously not the full English. The restaurant in the evening served some very different choices which we found not to our liking so unfortunately only ate there once.

Location very close to Lido waterbus stop and view to the lagoon were exceptional. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were really lucky with room view and small balcony. Breakfast was good, room small, but overall nicely decorated and clean, and shover was really good (often older hotel ahowers are just decent, but this was too)

being close to main street meant some noise during evenings, but we were not disturbed as we had ear plugs. the air con was bit ”lazy” i.e. the room could had been a bit cooler.

Breakfast was ample and delicious with a choice of hot and cold dishes. The hotel is situated right on the waterfront facing the Lido vaporetto etc terminus. Beautiful view from the panoramic terrace and even from the breakfast room. Also, there is a lift! Staff were lovely, friendly and hospitable.

Slight problem on weekends is noise from the bar opposite. But this is a problem everywhere in Venice.

Go for a room with a view across the lagoon to San Marco, it is stunning, especially if you have a spectacular sunset as we did - see photo from room balcony. The location is very convenient, right by the water bus stop, on a street with lots of informal restaurants with outside space. The rooms are fine, delightfully old fashioned, clean crisp linen, but no frills or kettle etc. The staff are helpful and efficient. It is a relief to get away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Venice island, and have more space and be able to walk down to the beach on the other side of the Lido.

If your room is on the street above the main hotel door, it can be a bit noisy at night with people at the bar opposite. However, the hotel is in a busy area, so one might expect that. Good breakfast, but if you want egg, ask for a fried one.
