Versilia Palace Hotel

We loved our stay here! The staff are extremely helpful. The pool is very well kept (cloth bathing hats required!), the terrace is great for pre-dinner drinks (the bar staff know their cocktails!) and there is ping pong, table football and a small playground for the kids. Free parking is available, inc. some underground spaces. The rooms are large (even the cheapest ones), clean, and attractive. The air conditioning works well, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms modern and clean. Breakfast was good - plenty of variety and really good quality. We opted for half board, because there are very few restaurants in the area that do evening meals. The dinners are highly recommended: antipasti buffet, then 2 main courses, each with 2 excellent choices, and a good selection of desserts. They do also cater specifically for kids - you just need to ask. The beach is just opposite the hotel, so perfect access to the sea. Do investigate booking beach places beforehand: getting an umbrella is not guaranteed!

Possibly the only limitations are that there aren't any big shops within walking distance, only a few small local shops and small supermarkets nearby. Taxis can be hard to find (although that's not the hotel's fault - they will do their best to get you one!) and it's a long way to the train station. If you're not half board, eating out in the evenings could be limited, as there are very few restaurants open in the evenings.

Beautiful view and huge room and balcony. All of the staff were very polite and friendly and there was nothing I could fault with the hotel. Would definitely return!

Maybe a kettle and tea/coffee in the room, although it wasn't a problem, just would have been nice to have the option.

For us one night stay, but all was ok. To go to the beach you need to cross the street. At our stay they were just getting ready for the season, so reconstructions going on on many places. We are travelling with our dog, so mainly looking for the places where pets are allowed, which this place has, but does not say you have to pay for their stay. No big deal, but for some it could be. I would just add somewhere in description that you pay for your pet and how much, so at the end of your stay you are not surprised.

We asked for a high floor room in a quiet location and the staff responded to our request and gave us a lovely quiet room on the top floor. Extremely comfy beds, including the pillows (we often find hotels have lumpy pillows!). The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable when it came to places to go and public transport timetables. The hotel is well located for the beach and is also close to a woodland park, so if you like walking, you have a choice of places.

We would probably have had our evening meal in the hotel more often, if the start time had been a bit earlier. 7.45pm is a little late for us.

The hotel was clean, the room was big and had a mini bar 😊 The pool was lovely and clean and had a lifeguard. Staff were friendly and breakfast was a beautiful and plentiful.

The hidden charges for cappuccino in the morning with breakfast. I had to order a coffee, there was no self serve coffee anywhere. I ordered 2 thinking they were part of breakfast only to be charged for them at the end of my stay. Very disappointing, as I stayed at another hotel locally to here and coffee was included, as it is everywhere else I have ever stayed. And at 4 euro a coffee, I think was a rip off, coffee is part of breakfast not an added extra.

Rooms have been clean; beds are very comfortable; size of Deluxe room is good; the view from the terrace was great; breakfast for us was great (we prefer continental breakfast (good coffee; tasty cakes); Our room was really quiet; spacious seating area inside and outside; good bar; The staff was very friendly and helpful

No arrangement for seats/beds at the beach

The complete staff was extremely friendly, professional and very service minded.

Unfortunately there were no bathrooms in the entire hotel for disabled persons although the hotel mentioned „disabled friendly“ on the internet. The bathroom door was too narrow for a walker, not to mention a wheelchair. Further on the groundfloor the toilets ä also did not have bars next to the toilet - so a disabled oerson could not go on its own to a toilet - not in the own room nor on the ground floor. Hotels in Europe can get extra money to prevail these difficulties. I do wonder why this hotel has not tried to host all kind of guests, also old and or disabled people.

The hotel is in a great location. The swimming pool is partly shaded, surrounded by beautiful trees. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We could choose between underground and street level parking - all free of charge.

The pool had very short opening times 9:30am - 1pm then 3pm - 6:30pm. I wish the pool was open 24 hours at swimmers own responsibility.

Rooms rather big with a nice terrace. Nice pool (that we didn't try because of the weather). Right in front of the sea and the beach. Excellent front desk staff and barman. Breakfast is good. Parking

Very supportive staff, great food & service in the restaurant, nice clientele.

My partner was a bit worried about the single mattress bed. In the end, all worked out fine, mattress excellent. Staff v understanding, offered alternative rooms. In the end we stayed in ours which was just fabulous.
